I'm not sure if it was his dad or him. He was in a city near here visiting another branch of the store my friends works at. He's into playing guitar, so he kinda treasures it.

I'd want to at least be able to respect myself.

So I'd probably start a side project after my main band went like quadruple platinum eight times, and make sure it was all badass. Pretend the original band never happened. Like Blacq Audio should do concerning AFI.

I haven't really fell in love with them until recently (By The Way), but I always thought they were at least decent. They make beautiful and atmospheric music, I like their musicianship ("sweet" chord changes, minimalistic solos and melodies, funky bass/drum lines), they covered goddamn Robert Johnson. These guys are the real deal.

Frusciante is a god, btw.

EDIT: Their albums are where it's at. Just listening to the radio friendly singles cheapens them quite a bit. For instance: Sir Psycho Sexy, Venice Queen, Warm Tape, I Could Have Lied, Road Trippin', Parallel Universe, etc. Not singles, yet, imo, their bests works.
