Isn't it out-of-stock on amazon? I actually realised today that GTA comes out tomorrow (cheers Mikey) and scrambled to pre-order. They've got the Collector's Edition on play.com, but that's about it for the big online retailers. But I called a nearby store and they should have some tomorrow, so I'm getting there early if I can.

I guess it's because their database doesn't account for having multiple release dates, as it were. Most things aren't so popular that you can pre-order them and still have to wait a while until after the release date to get your copy. The little warning was on the product page.

Or maybe amazon are just bastards *shrug*

After a couple hours of playing, I like it. The gameplay is much different from past GTAs. The cover feature is pretty important and pretty neat. Driving is much more difficult, but also more fun. The police system they use is neat, and also kinda harder (can't go right through a toll booth!). I can't wait till I have a good grasp of the game so wandering around will be more fun.

Party Mode is GTA 4's lobby. Rather than sitting and staring at a static list while the host chooses the next game mode, Party Mode deposits all players at a south Alderney dock where three helicopters, several speedy ground vehicles and almost every weapon in the game await. What's more, there are no cops in Party Mode's Liberty City. Free Mode opens up the single player game's sandbox to no more than 16 players. Party Mode instead strips away the (marginally) restrictive rules of the main game's sandbox and lets players just go batshit nuts.

Yeessssssss. I fucking love you Rockstar. I'm going to see if I can bypass my uni's net firewall on the 360 like I did with the Wii, because I need to play me some online now.
