PS3 or 360?

Waffuru Wrote:If you aren't a huge Nintendo nerd and mostly intend to play by yourself I think your options are better with the PS3.

Seconded.

There just aren't a lot of really engrossing games on the Wii. If you're looking for something with games you can really sink your teeth into, the Wii isn't going to get you very far.

Conversely, if you're looking for something with games you can pick up for an hour or so and then move on to something else, the PS3 doesn't have a lot of options, in my opinion.

If you're just a casual gamer, or have younger kids, I'd actually say the Wii's probably the better fit.

Which is more or less what Rad just said. xD I'm in reiterating.

EDIT: I totally just called you Mai.

XD

You should have left it.

PS3 or Wii?

Neither. Get a Xbox 360.

360 > Wii > PS3

These guys are just PS3 fanboys, don't listen to them.

EDIT:

Just found out Final Fantasy 13 will be released on the 360. Words cannot described how win this is.

Do you just, like, only read every other post? If everyone here were a PS3 fanboy, no one would have said anything bad about the PS3. Not the case. And, really, you're one of the last people that should be talking about fanboyism.

Regardless, Zang's question didn't involve the 360, so why would anyone bring it up?

But, since it has been, the 360 really is a good compromise between the Wii and the PS3, if you find you really can't decide. It has a slew of kid-friendly or pick-up-and-play kind of games, as well as several decent "serious" titles. Most of the "serious" titles are for both the PS3 and the 360, though, so take that for what it's worth. Most people seem to really like Xbox Live, so if multiplayer sounds interesting to you, and you have the extra money, then the 360 has that, too.

The 360's library of games is worth mentioning, as well. It probably has the biggest library of games currently out (if you're not counting backwards compatibility). Though the 360 also suffers from a decent case of the N64s. It has a lot of games, but way too many shitty ones.

I had more to say, but I forgot what it was.

EDIT: Oh yeah! Gamerscore and Achievements. Some people really, really get off on those. Personally, I could care less about some arbitrary number called a "Gamerscore." They seem to be a pretty big hit nonetheless.

I wasn't being serious about the fanboy comment. Although to be fair, a couple of you guys have been buming the PS3 a bit, IMO.

And how am I a fanboy?

I hate to totally make you think your explanation was worthless, Rad, and that your suggestion was pointless, Sazuaa, but I have to tell the truth: the reason that I didn't ask about the 360 is because I actually already have one.

And if FFXIII is coming out for the 360, that pretty much seals the deal for me. Wii it is. FF was the biggest PS3 draw for me.

I don't know how you guys with more than one console, have the time to play all the different great games on the systems. I struggle to get through a 6 or 7 games a year.

Wow Sazuaa. You're a dick.
