This thread is NOT for spoilers.
Mainly, I just want to know who has it and if anyone's playing online.
Because the Konami registration was ridiculous, I ended up with the obscure username 'gustavx2'. Or something. My character's name is Spot.
Anyone wanna play?

To me, the thread is less about criticizing/defending Avatar and more about wondering how stoned Jack was when he saw the movie/made the thread.

When in doubt: It was sarcasm.

Yeah, I've been pretty wrapped up in the storyline too. It makes online play seem almost obsolete. xD

I play online. <.<
For the people that do, are you even close to being able to create a clan? xD I've met the level requirement (level 3), but I'm only about halfway to the time requirement (20 hours of gameplay).

I knew there was something that I kept wanting to play. I just couldn't remember what it was.

I doubt I'll get into the online play, but we'll see.

My brother really likes it. He's not a huge online player either, so you should give it a try at least.

Old age overcomes our lovable, aging hero!

"Snake! Snake!! Snaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaake!!!"
Yeah, that would be disturbingly hilarious. If your save file takes more than six months real time to complete the game, Snake dies of old age and you have to start over.

Yeah, I liked the first boss. After you stare at Naomi's boobs. >.>
Anyway.
Great game, played online for a while. Couldn't stand dying out of fucking no where. Playing Snake was fun though. I sucked even as him. >.>

Heard this could be coming out on the 360? I would be so stoked if this is true, but I'm doubtful.

Crying Wolf will always be my favorite. That high powered plasma rifle brought her ass down. I cried at her death.

Once it's not exclusive anymore it's possible. They did it for the old MGS games for the original Xbox.

I'm also doubtful. MGS4 uses the capabilities of the PS3 to the fullest. The 360 version would probably have to have several disks in order to be ported.

I think all the 360 port rumors were spawned by a Konami quote that if they couldn't break even and sell 1 million copies on day one they'd have to go multiplatform and that they were trending multiplatform for future games. They did in fact sell 1.3 million games on release day and continue to sell plenty of copies. I'm certain that they got a nice check from Sony for keeping it away from 360 and it's doubtful it will see a 360 release for a few years at least. Even then, Kojima might just want to be done with it and not bother since it is a fair amount of work to convert a game to run on the architecture of another console (ie, not 8-core'd) and claims that it would take up to 6 dual layer DVD discs for a pure port to 360.
tl;dr whomp x3 =(

Very true. The Blu Ray format is an extremely concentrated laser allowing more information to be put onto the disc. The 360 laser is no longer the standard for performance. Thanks Microsoft, you launched 360 before PS3, but you screwed yourselves in the long run.
