You are missing what I'm saying though. You are responding as if I'm swearing that Enhancement is doing great, and I'm not. In no way would I feel that way, actually. I'm just saying that they rip my Resto apart, enough so that I'd call them, locks, and hunters my complete counters. I'm in no way saying Enhance Shaman should be toned down. I leveled to 70 as Enhance and in retro would probably have done Ele post 60+.
What I'm saying though is that similar to fear, what they are good against they are REALLY good against, and what they are bad against they are REALLY bad against. There is no middle ground. The entire fight is decided immediately based on sheer luck with the RNG for procs and who's class is above the other in advantage. Its not like a rogue vs warrior situation where the two go head to head even if its weighted. Its just a "Either you win, or you lose" situation.
What I'm arguing against is that its bad class design. The majority of the damage comes from stuff that's 100% our of your control. As long as you are standing next to your target, you respond by purging, shocking my spells, etc, hoping to stall long enough for your procs to finally eat the target. Either you do that, or the other person gets away just far enough to permanently kite you, in which you automatically lose. Every other melee class has some form of anti-kite ability. Shaman don't. And the one single ability they have, instant ghost wolf, gets freakin dispelled by the class doing the kiting off an attack that they use without thinking about it. (That's being moved to a different shot now, btw) Otherwise the Enhance is completely helpless against say, a mage that frost novas you into place, or a lock that manages to land the fear on you (face it, Tremor is a joke at times, and yet awesome at others. I really hate that, its not reliable and once again either wins more or just loses), or a priest that fears you then pops mind flay with a shield up to eat your WF, etc. The class relies on bursting something down instantly before it can fight back, and if it survives that initial 2/3 second window, then you are screwed, and resillience gives most classes that amount of time.
