Quick History
Oliver Nash is an ex-cop. Ex-detective, to be specific. He worked for the force for most of his life and built something of a legacy there. He caught more criminals and busted more crime orgs than any man, woman, or alien before him; earning him the nickname "Wizard" among friends and colleagues.
That said, his last case: the case of the South City Ripper; was the one that broke him. It took a nine year bite out of his life and left him abandoned in the gutters. The Ripper was the only criminal to best him and he did it with inhuman finesse. In the end, Oliver found himself framed for the murder of his lover; the same murder that he'd been forced to witness after attempting to aprehend the Southern serial killer.
After more than three months in the underwater prison Deep Blue, where he was given residence after being framed of murdering his own lover; Oliver found himself transported to Friend or Foe. When he joined the competition, he thought himself dead ... that he had arrived in Hell. In time, he learned that the game wasn't Hell, but quite a good simulation of it. Today, he fights to defeat Kai Demolic and conquer this 'gameshow'.
It was also revealed in Friend or Foe that Oliver Nash participated in the Frost War in the 2nd Autonomous Mechanized Corps, nicknamed the "Cyclops Squadron". Despite the fact that mechanized units were priority targets for the Frost Empire and quickly eliminated, Wizard survived alongside four of his teammates. After the war ended, Oliver left the military and dropped piloting altogether to return to the CCPD.
Appearance
For a human, Oliver Nash is tall, standing at six foot two. However, his posture has become more slouched in his age bringing him down to about an even six feet. His skin shows both seasoning and aging but more the former than the latter, as is apparent in his plentiful scars from past gunfights and few wrinkles from the test of time.
His hair has started to fade into a silvery white, where it once was a vibrant blonde. His eyes might have been dark brown at one point, but they too have been dulled by the years, and are now closer to a soft auburn.
Even though he edges toward 60 with each passing day, Oliver manages to keep his physique in cheque and its rather impressive for someone with his count of 'years in service', breaking the stereotype associated with most police officers. He has always suggested that "the day he can't keep up with the criminals anymore will be the day he turns in the badge".
Across his bulky chest, which has been carved through years of hard work and exercise, is a massive scar/mark that vaguely resembles a lightning bolt. The mark was recently acquired when he was struck by a bolt of lightning, and it glows when he summons any amount of chi.
Abilities
Ki Specialization
Ever since Wizard's run in with the Gods on that fateful night that left him marked, he has had a strange surge in ... well, a number of things. For one, he can feel his veins coursing with a strange energy; what he calls "magic" due to a lack of understanding. He also has felt something of a physical overall and his body feels more alive than ever as if being struck by lightning knocked a decade off his bones.
Survival
Oliver has the miraculous ability to overcome the harshest of weathers and most extreme of circumstances. He can survive for much longer without the body's needs than any average human; something he has started to notice in prison. That said, he has yet to see the full extent of this supernatural resilience.
Techniques
Ki Control
Oliver finds himself genuinely lost at why or how his "magic" powers came to be, but he has slowly been able to get a grasp on them. What started out as a simple flicker of light has developed into offensive capabilities. It seems that with some focus he can create spheres of energy or even smaller-scale beams. The catch is that he is easily drained at this point and refrains from using his "magic" in excess. The gears in Oliver's meridians have started moving but clearly, he has a long way to go before he truly understands the phenomenon.
Ki Shotgun
A blast of ki can be shot from the white mark on Oliver's upper torso. The energy is scattered similar to a shotgun. And like a shotgun, the attack is weak at a distance but deals explosive damage at point-blank. Upon further development he may be able to fire it from an appendage.
Ki Fist Kai
The Wizard uses a variation of the traditional Ki Fist technique and he calls it his ‘Shell Bullet’. It can be used three times from one arm (per/battle), and after that the arm can’t use additional energy attacks. More than three times will do permanent damage to the arm. A simple explanation of his take on the move would be that energy projects him toward a target (homing in on said target, like a missile) before or simultaneous to the ‘activation’ of the Ki Fist, which—because of elastic storage (plyometrics)—produces three times the output that he puts into it. On his third use, if an inch from defeat, the attack becomes much more powerful; for reasons unknown.
