Yeah, that's been my experience with the few HoN players I've run across (I've dipped into their forums a couple times). Honestly, I think denying is the stupidest thing ever. It's only in DotA because of a limitation of the War3 engine. The makers of LoL have stated it was never intended to be part of the game.

Yeah, and I remember the LoL guy stating as much. But then you have the people who insist that icefrog created DotA ("in its current form!") and since he's with HoN, OBVIOUSLY the LoL team is lying, etc etc. Its really stupid, but hey, I'd love having a new game that quarantines these morons.

Amen. If they all want to go play HoN, I will gladly stick with the noobs of LoL.....

Wait, what? HoN fans accuse LoL of being a ripoff?

Anyone that has that ridiculous early-game curve can just destroy on Treeline. It's not even hard. I still think they need to change Highlander so it doesn't refresh all cooldowns on a kill. Or at least change it so it doesn't refresh itself.
Jax also seems to be pretty beastly on the new map.

A new patch hits tonight. Definitely feeling the buff to Janna and, finally, her ult. Also appreciate the slight nerf to Jax.
Apparently there's going to be a new shop UI, and they remade some of the items. There's a new Haunting Guise (good call) and Aegis of the Legion. Both sound awesome, though.

That's some good changes. I can't help but feel that Shaco should be nerfed somehow, but I don't know how without breaking the character.

I think they could stand to reduce the crit damage mod on Deceive. Other than that, though, yeah. He's a hard character to tweak. He'll probably just swing back and forth between slightly overpowered and slightly worthless for a while.

Yeah. Hopefully those buffs to Janna will make her formidable again.

I really want to try a support character on Treeline. I want to see how they work in a short, smaller-scale game.

I was actually going to suggest that you be Janna in that last game we almost played.

I almost picked her, too.
I'm not sure how I'd build her for Treeline, though. I probably would have just ended up grabbing anything with an aura on it and following people around.

Support characters that I've seen needs to be the backbone of the party in order to succeed or fuck off. I believe I saw Taric, Shen and Mundo rip through TT though. They basically just outhealed, outregenerated, out-escaped any attempt on effectively taking them down while they all had ways of taking us down.

I'm talking about supports, not tanks.

Taric is a support-tank. You get him for his ultimate (aura). Really, he can heal, he can stun (chase down), he can AoE and he can make everyone around him go berserk. He can't be much more support.

He's designed as a tank with support features, not the other way around.
Taric is in a completely different league from Soraka or Janna or Zildean.

Is this still in closed beta? And what is it about?
