Quote:This unit, as you can see on the paper before you, will be the primary squad and the forward fire team in Operation: Sea Storm. In approximately twenty hours you will be transported, via aircraft, to the forward operations command center that has been established behind enemy lines, in the Great Plains that divide our city from South City. In approximately thirty hours, as soon as you have landed and have been equipped, your unit will board your brand-new, ass-kicking Nighthawk and will infiltrate South City by nightfall. Your job is simple: your team will be dropped into hostile enemy territory; your mission is to defeat all hostiles and secure the target location, and hold that location until back up arrives to put up a sustainable perimeter. You are the tip of the spear, ladies and gentleman, and you’ll have Warrant Officer Skleros raining down hell from above to cover your asses. The target location is a small harbor on the mainland side of South City. By securing that location, and by holding it, you will give our main force a location to establish a stronghold within the city limits, and will thus give us the upper hand in taking the city. Rest up and eat well, you’ll be dropping into enemy territory before you know it.”
Considering our mission is going to be stealth like for the first part and once we get discovered is when Bekah will open up hell, I've been thinking of some upgrades for the Nighthawk. This should make Trafford happy so listen up you loveable asshole you. <3
I'm thinking that the turbines will have a semi permeable energy dampening field that will completely mask the sound of the copter engines outside of about 200 feet away. Yet it will allow them to pull in the oxygen required to operate.
I'm also thinking that to compensate for the rotor thumping and moving of air that the chopper is completely surrounded in another semi permeable barrier that will dampen sound from the moving wind, but allow the machine to sustain normal lift. Sort of like a giant bubble.
Another thought is that when needed the barrier can be put to full strength and used to block something, but it'd need to be deactivated extremely fast or it'll choke out the engines and stall them as well as ruin all maintained lift.
Sigfried mentioned feeling something as you pass through the barrier on your way out via rappelling so let's go with that. xD
Assuming all of you, but me are going to be the ground crew I'll have two NPC gunners on each side of the craft, with a forward armament for the chopper itself consisting of a .50 machine gun and maybe rockets?
I'm mostly posting this for reference so when and if you control Bekah and the chopper you know exactly what it can do. It's been upgraded and outfitted with the best engines available and can do almost maneuver if so required that a helicopter can pull off.
I'm also thinking when and if we extract from the mission site I'll lower a large rope with clips on it for each of you to clip onto and I'll just pull you straight up off the ground before moving away.
Sound good? Thoughts or comments?
