I wanna play some games where you have dudes, and the dudes level up and stuff, and there's strategy and progression and customization and stuff. I've always got this craving, but I find few good games that meet it. Fire Emblem is one. Pokemon is another. What are other good games with dudes?

Yeah dude!
Jarka, Vad, in those game you only level up one dude. Levelling up one dude is not enough! I need to level up multiple dudes! Get with the program.

Didn't remember which consoles you had, so I tried to mix it up a bit.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance was a fun game about dudes to play with dudes. I need to play that again.
I've got all the consoles except the PS3, pretty much.

Man Elder Scrolls can suck my dick dude. You only have one dude in that game, and I'm pretty sure the stat system is an elaborate troll from the developers.

Fine. Try something more "intune" with your upstart generation.

Now that I know what you're asking about, I completely second the Disgaea suggestion. It's Fire Emblem with, seriously, almost infinite replayability. And way more involvement. And surprisingly cool music.
EDIT: Disgaea 2 is for PS2; I've probably sunk two hundred hours into that bastard, and I barely dipped into the meta-games (Yeah. There's more than one).
While you're at it, check out Phantom Brave. It's the oft-neglected little sister of Disgaea, and it's lovely.

I loved Disgaea, but the sheer amount of timesinkery can be daunting. But I've got 1+2, and it is definitely the right thing. Also, consistently hilarious which is always a bonus.

I really liked Phantom Brave, and they released it on Wii and PS2.

Second that.
Though, it has a lot of the same "time-sinkery" that Disgaea has.
