This Ashe does not a support make. I tend to do "mage" supports better than true support, but if I do play one, I go to Sona 80% of the time and Taric another 15%, with the occasional Janna. Soraka is so powerful but I just don't do her well.

Actually, I honestly do Alistar as a support more often than any of those.

I need to share this story, because my most recent solo endeavors have been plagued by terrible luck or terrible team match-ups.

Just played a game. Renekton (me), Vayne, Amumu, Karma, Fiddlesticks vs Katarina, Garen, Olaf, Fizz, and some fifth person (why is my memory so bad? I think they were a non-tanky DPS'er)

Anyway, long story short, my team fed the Olaf 14 kills in the first 20 minutes. Fortunately for us, he had kind of a derpy build (phantom dancer?). I eventually kill this sumbitch, but he's still all cocky. He tried tanking our turrets, only for me to kill him. After that, we managed to slowly start grabbing kills and farm and secure a Baron.

The game went to 55 minutes. The last twenty of which were the must stress- and panic-inducing moments. We found up managing to catch two of them out of position and kill 'em. Then we had that frantic "We know we're *probably* going to win, because we're on the verge of acing their inhibitors, but they're not going down without a fight."

We won, no thanks to me being hyper-farmed.

The moral of the story: Best time is RENEKTIMEEEEE

Game 1: We end up trying out roles other than we're used to; I do support, we match up against a team who just crushes us and brags about it in all-chat and all sortsashit, frustrating, we surrender

Game 2: We match up with the same exact team, play the roles we're more used to, and just crush them. Absolutely devastate them. 11/1 Udyr at the 20 minute mark. Teemer mid, as Vlad, had 154 cs at 20 minutes. 154 fucking cs.

I'd say GP is probably better off with red than Ez anyway, as his on-hit ranged ability is targeted rather than a skillshot, even if it does have a somewhat longer cooldown.

Ez (in general) is pretty boss with red though because of his Q.
