Super Mafia Bros. 2 Dream 3
#1
As the first rays of the sun broke the horizon, the denizens of Subcon gathered under the Hanging Tree. Yes, that's the tree's name. And was it's name prior to the actual hanging the day prior.

Shut up!

Anyway, as the town gathered to count their numbers, something seemed off. That being, there was no one missing. Which was strange, considering all the sounds of murder from last night, waking up the frightened townspeople. With a shrug, they went right back to their accusations and finger pointing.

Dream Phase starts now and will continue until 6pm EST on Saturday (because I have drill this weekend and don't want to be up all night when I have an early morning the next day). Don't forget to have fun!

Kaden - Pokey - T
John Doe
Ashe
Mal Nova - Shy Guy - T
Dehan
Kayne
Rafael - Luigi - T
Teemer
King B

It's weird. I don't play very often, but I cannot remember if I've ever been mafia in these games. I always seem to be a townie. Why can't I be one of the cool people Sad

I'm just very confused as to what happened. Why didn't the mafia do anything last night?

Because they realized we were hanging an innocent. Maybe they rolled the dice, aimed at someone missed and I dunno...

At least we're not down ANOTHER person. Sheesh. With those guys gone, I just don't have any idea where to look to next. Ashe? Doe? King B?

I assume the mafia targeted Kayne, who is the most likely townie that could be identified. However, they might have hit a snag with the doctor-type role and therefore couldn't kill her. Personally, this is what I expected would happen.

I would order the suspect list, from most suspect to least, in this order: Dehan, myself, Ashe and King B equally, Teemer, and finally Kayne.

I assume most people would think that either me or Dehan, or perhaps both me and Dehan are mafia that managed to manipulate the town into lynching their sheriff. We were both pretty adamant about killing him, despite (or perhaps because of) the risk that Mal might actually be the sheriff. I place myself lower on the list because I've been wanting to kill Mal even before he revealed his sheriffness to us, unlike afterwards as is the case with Dehan.

Next would be Ashe and King B, equally suspicious for different reasons. King B didn't vote last round and has generally been quiet, which has been a default playstyle for most mafia players (refer to every time Tyr has been mafia in basically every single game he's been in).

For Ashe, it's because of his hesitance to lynch the sheriff, which would seem to counter my suspicions. He's been vocal about going against the general flow of the town's actions, whether or not they were the correct actions to take, which comes off as trying to slow down the townfolk's progress. This is, of course, an easily contested theory which I'm sure Ashe or other townies will counter in some regard. But he still comes off as more suspicious regardless, which is why he's placed with King B on equal terms. Also, he's claimed to be Mario, but that doesn't really mean anything except perhaps to say "Mario from last game was innocent, so have no fear!" Luigi was mafia last game, though has been confirmed townie this game, which means Mario could be either mafia or townie.

Teemer is very low on my chart, again perhaps against what you would suspect. You could argue, since he was the last to vote against Mal, that he was the one who actually killed him, so he MUST be mafia. I disagree. He seemed hesitant to lynch Mal just as Ashe was, though ended up doing so. I think this makes him more likely to be acting as a townie than Ashe. Again, I suspect to be countered on these assumptions.

Finally, there's Kayne, and it should be obvious as to why she would be the lowest. Mal hasn't been confirmed as the sheriff, but he has been confirmed as both a townie and as the Shy Guy, which he claimed. So, it's nearly impossible that he was lying about his powers and the results of using said powers, unless he purposefully wants the town to lose. And, unless Kayne is a godfather type role, there shouldn't be any reason to doubt her innocence.

tl;dr: The best option I can think of is to Lynch Dehan. Seems the most logical choice given the information available.

Yeah, I'd go either Dehan or King B. King more than Dehan though. He's been awfully quiet, probably trying to stay under the radar. The thing with that method of play though is that it just looks friggin suspicious as shit.

LYNCH KING B.

I agree with you doe, I don't think Teemer is mafia. Not sure about you, Ashe is a maybe, and Dehan is also a maybe. King, though, maybe a little higher than them on my suspect list.

In this world, only mafia would try to beg the town not to lynch the sheriff. Really? Yeah. I will hold my ground here because I know why no one died last night. Because dr. Mario protected himself after we lynched the sheriff that I protected the night before to give him a chance to investigate. I stressed not to hang him and mafia convinced you guys to do so. Think on it. Kaden dies then the town immediately pushes hard to kill the immediately declaring sheriff. Then likely tried to kill me last night when I protected myself so instead want me lynched. The only way I will die. Don't make another mistake. lynch doe for getting the sheriff kill ed

Fortunately all I will say is, I'm a townie. Fuck you Doe. you're obviously Mafia but I will hold off on lynching you and vote for King B because he's not been seen today and I think he's playing it cool.

Lynch King B...and if you all can read through the lines you'll see that Mr.Doe is mafia. Don't fall into the trap.

Kayne is a confirmed townie, every and anything else is just speculation unless proven otherwise...and right now John Doe is doing a horrible job of hiding his Mafia ties.

So I closed my attempted new post on accident. Great.

I'm now at home rather than on my phone sneaking a glance, letting me read posts. As such, I'm changing my vote from Unlynch Doe, Lynch Dehan because Dehan is very questionable and is our second most likely lynch (given yesterday's votes).

I can only be certain that Kayne isn't mafia. I'm not certain on Doe because every game he's a loud idiot (in terms of persona) and thus this is how he'd act regardless. He doesn't care if it costs us the game because Doesn't Matter; Killed Mal is how he thinks. In his eyes, he wins either way now.

That said, let's address this contradiction:

"I ain't no sheep" - Doe2013 on why he was continuing to vote Mal when we (at the time) tried to persuade against it, which prompted him to continue gathering support to kill the sheriff without a single chance to prove himself (other than the Kayne announcement). http://www.cdbzrpg.com/forum/showpost.ph...stcount=13

Really, what shit is it to kill someone for claiming sheriff without even giving them the opportunity to prove their position? I'm amazed. So the claim is now that I'm mafia (from the people so certain about Mal, with Dehan saying "if Mal survives the night, you will all die horrible brutal deaths, of that I'm sure") because I "impeded the town by not jumping on the bandwagon for right or wrong and lynching the sheriff". No, I didn't. If we lose this, I can at least say Obvious Mistake Was Obvious and that I didn't take any part in that. No amount of pleading or even offers of evidence from Mal could convince you guys different; you had decided you wanted him dead whether he was being truthful or not. Don't do that shit twice or we lose.

The person that sealed the deal was Teemer, which is highly suspicious, even after Mal offered up a claim of who was innocent after requested. Why ask for the claim if nothing he said would mean anything?

There was nothing Mal could have done to prove himself. He took a bold chance, offered himself to the lions, hoping it would cause the doctor (me) to protect him (I did, in every way I could) so that he could gather some evidence for us. We decided as a town that "no REAL doctor would be so bold, must be mafia" and killed him immediately, knowing that there was not a damn thing he could say or do to convince us otherwise. I don't even.

And Doe talks about not being a sheep and going with the crowd while chiding me for doing the same. Have fun with that.

I ain't no sheep. I'm a shepherd.

I'm glad you said stuff, Ashe, though what you gave is more than I expected. Doctor Mario makes sense in tons of ways, including making more sense than my bullshit theory of Kayne being targeted last night. While her innocence is either an incredible manipulation of powers or the truth, she was too obvious a target for doctor protection. In the same way, since Mal was proven to be townie, so therefore most likely sheriff as he claimed, having both myself and Dehan alive would act as excellent distractions. The only targets left would be King B, Teemer, and Ashe. Of course, I don't entirely trust you, as you could be mafia, purposefully not kill somebody in order to claim doctor protection and add leverage to your arguments. But I think that you actually being doctor is more likely.

Anyway, I would like to point out a few things. If the town lynches incorrectly today, and the doctor fails to protect during the night, the mafia will win. So I would like to offer two different ways to go about this day phase. Either we forgo lynching today and let the mafia kill someone so that the next phase we have better odds at hitting the right mark, or we announce what roles and powers we all have and lynch based on who sucks at lying. I suspect that the second option would be preferable to most people.

And just to update the suspect list: Dehan, myself, King B, Teemer, Ashe, Kayne.

Eh, wouldn't revealing roles and powers be a little...i don't know...nutty? It's offering up information to people who can turn around and pick us off because we're a threat. Mine sucks, as always, but I don't want mafz getting the wrong idea and killing me off because they think in some way my bullshit power will trample their toes. I'd like to make it to the end for once lol (or twice...I mean, have I gotten that far in any of these things?)

We probably don't have much time to go anyways, so why not lynch and hope for the best? What else can we do?
