Ok. I was thinking this morning about Kingdom Hearts 1.5HD, and how awesome it's going to be to be able to play it on my PS3. It got me to thinking about some other older games that would be fucking awesome to play on your current system.
For example, I would love an HD remake of the Rogue Squadron Trilogy. I remember getting my first GPU...it had like 32MB of memory and was AGP. I wanted it SO BAD so that I could play Rogue Squadron. I would pay money for an HD collection.
Anyone else have any awesome games that would be sweet on your current rig?

Tales of Symphonia.
Possibly my favorite game of all time.

Resident Evil 1 (yea, I want a remake of the remake--I love the game that much...they can also do 2 and 3 while they're at it)

Hopefully that will be a thing if Wind Waker HD is any indication.

Not really a fan of remakes... I feel like it gives good companies a 'pass' to just recycle shit over and over.
That said, I'd probably be a massive hypocrite and buy a remake of Chrono Trigger, but I'd prefer a REAL sequel (and nonna that 'Chrono Cross' nonsense; that game was crap!). Come onnnn SquEnix! Your latest FF games have been terrible anyway! Time for a shift in direction!

Jade Empire.
Oh man that was such a good game. Really, anything that pulls from the "ancient China" mythos would be pretty awesome. Haven't had much of that lately, and I don't think Tomb Raider really counts (it's mostly jap, but there's some Chinese in there, too).

Jade Empire was pre-Mass Effect Bioware? I missed out on that but always wanted to play it.
I'd really like Rogue Squadron (I played it on the N64) as a remake.

Yeah, Jade Empire was pretty sweet. I gave my XBOX copy to someone to borrow...like 8 years ago. I don't think I'm getting it back. It was Pre-Mass Effect, but Post-KOTOR.

So good. Just the combat system alone was awesome and then you got the kinds of characters and plot-lines you'd expect from Bioware. Being able to snap into the "now I'm hella faster than everyone else because I said so" mode was the shit. Focus op.

Poor Kaden :-(
I actually wouldn't mind an HD remake of the original Pokemon Trading Card Game for Game Boy. That shit was dope. And I'm not sure I remember how to play...

For a video game based on a card game, that was damn good.
