Loading Platform A
#1
OCB:

At each sign up station is a series of teleportation tubes leading to one of Synex's space-based loading stations. The teleportation tubes are free of charge to anyone who has already signed up to be in the tournament. From here is where the ships will take off for Dante, so, in theory, everyone will be here before the sign ups are over. Feel free to roleplay interacting with whoever you want in the meantime.

The space station includes lounges, bars, restaurants, sleeping barracks, the works. Everything is free of charge to the participants of the tourny. A field has been created around the station to prevent teleporting into or out of it. Teleportation within the station is fine.

NOTE: You can spar in here

"Think they'll sign up?" Bulma asked the reptile as they walked forward on the platform. She was causally looking about the docks as they went into a lounge/bar area. "I dont know if we should go in here...I dont want Bra near a bar."

"Chill, Bulma. We can kick Bra out to the maganize rack. They'll all show up eventually though, I dont think any of em can stand that we're gonna rock this tournament."

The blue haired woman giggled as they took their seats at the side. A waiter came around but Burter shooed him off. The bar was very empty, or rather the whole platform was. Burter had only seen three other people so far, and only one other he recognized: Kami. He decided he would wait to greet the namek, however.

"Well, this should be a fun game!" Bulma said again, clapping her hands with glee. She had no idea what she was getting into.

[]Anyone wanna talk to us, feel free. Bulma might carry it on too.[]

One moment Kami had steped into a strange looking tube - the next he was slightly disoriented on a space station. He took a minute to check out his surroundings, there was obviously room to accomodate a big group of people. It was like some sort of intergalactic hotel.

His eyes slowly made their way around, where they settled on the bar. He finally found a familiar face and made his way over to the big blue guy named Burter. Kami took a seat next to him without saying a word, knowing full well that Burter know who he was and that he was there. Kami slowly turned his head. "Long time no see, huh? Any lasting injuries from that spar we had?" Kami gave Burter a reassuring pat on the back, he knew his immense power level can sometimes become intimidating, especially in a place like this. "And who is your new lady friend?"

She brushed her emerald hair out of the way as Kami took his seat. She looked slightly confused at his rudeness, but he began to speak as if he knew who Burter was. Bulma couldn't sense ki, and with her scouter off she didn't even realize how strong he actually was.

"Bulma," Burter said to introduce her. "Bra's mom." He pointed out. Bulma immediately took a closer look at the namekian.

"You know my daughter?" She asked quizzicly. "How?"

"I ran into her a few months back. I'm Kami," he introduced, "I can see the resemblance. You much be proud to have her as a daughter."

"More then she'll ever know," She sighed, putting her chin in her hands. She looked up as another old man came up towards them, holding a glass.

"Who might you three be?" He asked, looking them over. Bulma noticed a strange look on the man's face when he scanned Kami. Bulma scooted over, smiling.

"Just other fighters! Wanna sit with us?" She asked, making room. It was a large table, so she had plenty of room to scoot.

"I suppose," he said, taking a seat and began to move into more conversation. Burter stopped talking when another stranger came up. Bulma could see more fighters were starting to appear.

The large namek questioned them, standing over their table. "Hi, um, my name is Slug, I was wondering, all I did was sign up for a tournement, and then got into a tube, and now I am here, would one of you mind?"

Burter was the one who answered, "Why dont you take a seat, Slug?" He said. He began to speak as Slug sat down. "This is where we're waiting till we get called to board the ship. This whole tournament starts on a planet somewhere else, so we wait for more fighters."

The namek nodded, listening close as he relaxed in his seat. Bulma grinned, "Five already. Quite a party."

"... teleportation tube, eh?"

Rad had been instructed to enter the tube immediatly after he had signed up on the list. He didn't really question the order, he was sure the people attending the sign-ups would get enough of that from other participants. His first impulse was to wait for 18, but she would be behind him shortly, there was little doubt about that. The recieving end of the teleportation tubes seemed lavish enough. Signs directed the saiya-jin to louges, bars, sleeping areas, and just about anything else he could think of. His ki sense led him towards one of the bars. Before he even got there he could identify 50% of the bar's inhabitants.

Burter seemed to be quite the popular one. Kami, Bulma, and another figure were standing about, conversing with the blue-skinned warrior. Rad grinned and headed over to the group. Several were attempting to introduce themselves, but Raditzu could care less about them. He reached out and tapped Burter on the shoulder. The reptile-esque creature turned around and cocked an eye at the saiyan, but didn't have time to do anymore than that. A red aura burst to life around the saiya-jin, his power increasing ten fold. Though he didn't bother powering up to his max, he doubted Burter would have been so readily prepared to defend himself. The saiyan's fist slammed into Burter's jaw and sent him sprawling to the ground.

"There. Now we're even." Rad's power died down as he signaled to the barkeep. "Anyone up for a pint?"

Burter flew off his seat before he knew what hit him, nailing the tables and falling over them before finally hitting the ground. He groaned, moving up to one knee. Bulma could tell Burter was trying to prepare his ki for another attack, but the woman let out a scream to stop him.

"There. Now we're even." Rad's power died down as he signaled to the barkeep. "Anyone up for a pint?"

Burter stood up, and cracked his jaw as he glared to the saiyan. "I'll get one. You better be paying."

Rad grabbed a full hug from the bartender and slid it across the bar counter towards Burter. He grabbed a mug of his down and downed a gulp before surveying the others that were present. Kami was the most dominant presence in the third eye that was his ki sense, though the others were of mild interest. Another Namekian that Raditzu didn't realized (immediatly classed as a non-threat). A cloaked figure that Raditzu did recognize. So much so that it almost brought him to a fit of laughter, but he restrained himself. It looked like the King of all saiya-jin was entering this contest incognito; far be it for Raditzu to ruin the surprise. The last person present was the most intrieging. It was a woman that Raditzu had never seen before, but he knew who she was. Rather... he connected the name with the face, and a mixture of bizarre emotions. No easy way to explain it. With another sip of his mug, Rad plopped down next to the hooded King.

"You sure you wanna get mixed up in something like this, old timer?" Raditzu whispered to his King under the lip of his mug. Without waiting for a reply, he looked over to Bulma. "You're Vegeta's wife, right?"

Bulma had been conversing with the large namek, Slug, when the saiyan spoke to her. "You're Vegeta's wife, right?" He asked while sipping his beverage.

She put her head on her hand, trying to think about it. It was a surprisingly hard answer...it had been so long since she had seen Vegeta, she wasn't even sure if she was truly with him anymore. "I...." she began, hesitating. She sorted it all through her head and finally nodded, "Yes, thats right. Its been awhile since I saw him, but I am still married to him." She smiled up at Rad, trying to hide her hesitation in answering such an easy question. To further hide it, she sipped her drink quietly.

"Heh." Rad tried to hide a smirk, but to little avail. "I'm Raditzu, Bulma." It was the saiyan's turn for hesitation. "I'm... hmmm... an old friend of Vegeta's." His smirk widened. "Kami here can testify to that."

It had been a wierd experience for both Raditzu and Vegeta: fusing. Both of them had experienced emotions and memories that the other possessed, though they could not explain why. When they had learned the technique, they were told that the fusion was supposed to create an entirely new consciousness and have nothing to do with the minds of those that had been used to create the new being. That wasn't exactly what had happened. It occured to Raditzu to say something about Vegeta's absense to Bulma, but how was he supposed to explain knowing the inner, personal feelings concerning family from someone like Vegeta? That wasn't exactly something that the crown prince offered to just anyone who passed by. Rad resolved to take another sip from his mug and let things stand at that.

"Oh... and Kami, nothing personal about that whole 'blowing both of us up' thing." Rad waved a hand nonchalantly. The last time they had met was during some kind of bizarre tournament hosted by an alien. "Don't think you'll get off that lucky this time." He grinned at the Namekian.

Kami picked up a drink for himself and sat near the long haired sayjin. "Hey, no harm no foul. We both, uh, exploded...I'll be looking forward to a good fight from you." Kami looked around at the gathered fighters. The few that were around were mostly people he had seen before at one time or another, on good or bad terms. Burter and Raditzu were the only one's who he had fought at all, the rest were not quite as powerful as those two. I wonder who else is going to show up... "Hey Raditzu! Maybe if I get you to give up you'll shave your head! It would sure beat dying!!" There was a chuckle from a few, and a very distinct hand gesture from Raditzu.

"What would you do with it? Make yourself a wig?" he retorted.

Kami didn't know why he was out socializing with all these people who he would soon be pitted against in an epic battle. Maybe he would try and pick off people he didn't know, avoid killing of as many people as possible. No sense in demolishing some poor fellow who thought he could get rich fast. Then again, if some wise ass alien scum with big teeth starts charging in, it might be ok to blast a hole through his torso.

Raditzu seemed more focused on his conversation with the cloaked figure, who looked a little familiar, but Kami was having a hell of a time remembering where he had seen him before. Bulma was chatting away along with everyone else. She seemed like a good intentioned person, it might be nice if she could get out of this in one piece. The old namek slowly took a drink, and sat back to soak up the conversation. There was going to be little rest once they were at DA.

A strange sting accompanied a rather sudden change of surrounding, a bright sunny day had become an atmospherically lit space hotel. More or less. The changeling eyed the directions given, the place was well equipped at the least, designed to accommodate a rather large crowd, his ki sense told him quickly that most had headed off to a bar, he followed the directions to the bar passing a restaurant and other amenities.

Before entering, he took a look around, the building really was top notch, whoever was footing this bill had deep pockets. Pockets like the grand canyon, he decided as he noted subtle gold trim on several items. The changeling advanced into the bar, idle talk was being spread. A few recognized figures were outlined in the room. Some powerhouses no doubt, the changeling had a few too many enemies who had become just a tiny bit too strong. Hopefully, they would wear themselves down or do something foolish, he could only hope.

Announcing himself he straightened his posture and proclaimed "Well, well, well. Where did they pick up this crowd? I should kill you all right here." He ended his empty threat with ceremonial hissing. Koola had been described as manic, without warning or reason changing emotional states, alliances and even plans. He would often switch between personalities, but the most commonly seen was the standard changeling attitude. Arrogance only rivaled by that of a Saiyajin, a cold heartless disposition and an enmity for all. But he played the part, oh so well. Koola snarled once more, seeing if any would be foolish enough to accept a challenge at this state of the tournament.

Bulma moved her eyes to look at the changling who had slipped into the room. Her face changed to a grim and disturbed look as the monster threatened death on the group. Of course, he could have been joking, but Bulma was far too stubborn and bold to give a shit. Kami put a hand on her shoulder to stop her, but she stood anyway. "Why dont you leave the fighting to the actual tournament, buddy?" She said, boldly. The changlingly looked at her, fair surprised by her boldness. "If you think I'm gonna let you walk in and ruin our good time...you...you...you have another thing coming!"

A shame, too, as Bulma should have turned her scouter on and read his ki.
#13
The human's outburst spread a morbid smile across the changelings face. He folded his arms and let a low laugh. "I'm not sure if you're incredibly brave, or incredibly stupid. You should find a Saiyajin to stand behind, they seem to have a liking for protecting the weak and worthless."

Koola took a seat at the end of the bar, motioning for a drink he turned his back on the crowd who had grown oddly quiet, none really wanted to engage in a clash this early in the game. The changeling didn't want to either, he had just hoped to stir the pot and disrupt the friendly chit chat. But, if it really did come do to it, he would fight anyone in the room, anytime between now and the end of the tournament. He sipped his drink and kept an ear open to the conversations that would take place.
#14
Kami drank some more and eyed Koola at the end of the bar. They had worked together before, the appeal of supreme power was mighty testing. The changling seemed to have a kill everyone attitude, but Kami knew that he could possibly end up in a very serious situation with the changling. The nature of DA was very unpredictable though, and he could end up with some very odd alliances. The old saying keep your friends close and your enemies closer rang clear as a bell in Kami's mind. This was one tournament not to screw around with. He took a moment more to further contemplate strategy and then went back to drinking with the familiar crowd.

"Hmph." Raditzu motioned for Slug to give him a minute while he got up from the table he had been seated at and walked over towards Koola. He sat down in a stool next to the changeling and talked in a hushed voice. "I was hoping I would be able to go a bit longer without seeing you again." Rad had a brief flashback to their recent Dragonball wish. "I think it's in everyone's best interest if we just steer clear of each other during the tournament, don't you?"

"Scared, are we?"

"Of the two people sitting here, you're not the one I'm afraid of."

Rad got up from his stool and walked back to the table. Fights with the changeling always surfaced far too many emotions for the long-haired one's taste. Add in an uncontrollable transformation of obscene power and an inability to control it, and Raditzu was left with something that he would rather not deal with. He was sure Koola understood what he meant, too. As arougant as the changeling was, he wasn't stupid. If Raditzu transformed again, there were few who would be able to do anything about it. On the other hand, that might be exactly what Koola was looking for: a chance to exploit the saiya-jin; that sounded like something Raditzu could expect a changeling to do. Until anything happened, however, there was nothing Raditzu could do but sit and wait.

"Slug, was it?" Rad shot a glance towards the Namekian. "Don't think I've seen you around before. If this is the first time you've been in one of these tournaments, I suggest you watch your back."

The tube swiftly shoved him to the first loading platform. Goku landed on his feet a little disorientated just outside a bar. Pushing the door inwards, he stepped into the air conditioned room and immediately noticed people he knew. A small congregation were surrounding Raditzu, his brother seemed to have that impact on people. He saw Kami talking with a changeling. Goku seemed to vaguely remember him from the LMS, but he didn't know who he was. He looked like Frieza almost. Maybe they were related.

Goku didn't feel like being overly social. He went over to Kami and sat down on the empty stool next to him. Maybe he could learn of this changeling.

"Hello old man," Goku said with a smirk as he sat himself down. "What's new?"

Uub walked out of his teleportation tube, he had used something like it before..."Hate those damn things.." he felt a little light headed as he watched where everyone else was walking off to "A bar.." he chuckled "Bet Burter is cleaning out the house without me.." he shook his head as he walked off the platform and onto the dock..

He looked at the rather small but powerful gathering of warriors and picked out Burter "HEY BLUE MAN THROW ME A BEER!!!!" well he was finally here, and he might enjoy himself before the fighting started.

In a second's time the teleportation portal was filled with a small, dazed looking child. Goten fell back onto his behand a moment as his head was still adjusting to the new, oh so quickly changed settings that had came along with transferring himself from one planet to the next in a blink of an eye. He rose slowly... minding his steps as he took several paces forward before falling flat on his stomach with a small growl, pushing himself up off the ground and onto his feet.

"Whoa..." The Saiya-jin youth spoke awe stricken... the platform was massive in size compaired to anything he had ever previously seen. His eyes blarring red for a moment as upon the view screen of his contact sized scouter displayed several dozen fighters, in particular were the ones located in the bar. Thinking the child might as well see if there were anyone to talk to or play with he entered the bar, hit quickly with the smell of alcohol and various other smells he winced a little. Sniffling his nose before walking over and hopping up at the counter of the bar, looking around curiously as the barkeep glanced over, raising an eyebrow curiously.

"You want something, kid?" Spoken with the utmost disapproval for the child, but business was business as he saw it.
"Um... apple juice?" Sure, Goten's order was a bit... out of place for the scene but never the less he was answered with a glass containing the juices a ripe apple bore. Smiling widely as he took the cup in hand for a quick swig then slamming the glass back down with a little gasp escaping his lips as he breathed away from the rush of drink down his throat. Glacing over to notice a couple people that were familiar to him... but being a little shy he decided not to talk till his eyes set upon his father.

"Daddy!" Goten's expression flarring up as he waved his hand wildly at his father, stopping suddenly as he attracted attention, giving a little awkward smile he sat back down. Turning to where the blue reptile and cyan haired women were seated, tilting his head slightly as he took another small drink of his juice.

Bra gazed at the machinery before her with disdain.

We've got way better set-ups back on Earth.

It was nothing new for the girl to be competitive with material posessions, even something as completely unimportant to her as teleportation tubes. Regardless, the machines would take her to the contest, where everyone else she knew was going anyway. She brushed a few stray hairs back and stepped onto the platform.

"Can we get going already?" Bra demanded. With an offended grunt, the Namekian operator flipped a switch and pressed a button, and Bra vanished, deconstructed into atomic particles, traveling at the speed of light, to the loading platform.

The cyan-haired girl was re-assembled aboard Loading Platform A, with the addition of a slight headache. Bra hated teleportation tubes, they always made her feel bad.

Immediately, her sixth sense picked up on a rather large crowd, located within a bar.

Just hope mom isn't there to yell at me again.

Bra treaded swiftly, taking in the irresponsibly lavish adornments. Even the Capsule Corp mansion wasn't was well-appointed as this place, and this was a mere waiting room for warriors, most of whom probably were strangers to luxury.

Upon walking into the bar's entrance, Bra quickly caught sight of a fearsome-looking changeling, and leapt out of the doorway before he, or anyone else, had seen her.

"Shit. Was that Frieza??" the young warrior wondered aloud, recalling the several times he had terrorized her during the Friend or Foe tournament. He was a powerful, evil-hearted monster.

Hey, now. I must be way stronger than that chump now. I'm a Super Saiyan! Yeah...

With renewed vigor, Bra determinedly marched into the bar, this time taking enough time to realize that it was not Furiza, but another Changeling at the table. So many people were here that she recognized. Goku, Goten, Burter, Uub, Bulma, Kami, and Raditzu. And...

"Is that... is that grandpa?" she whispered, gazing across the room at an older Saiyan who was obviously trying to hide his identity. The resemblance was unmistakable. It must have been him. She couldn't blame the man for trying to hide his royalty, for Bra did the same thing. Not even Burter knew she was a Saiyan princess, though for some reason she had the fleeting thought that Raditzu did know of her royal blood.

"Hey guys." Bra announced, walking up to where most of Pitch Black was assembled, along with a few other familiar faces, "Hi Kami. Uh, Raditzu. Hey."

"Hey, Bra." Uub replied. Burter gave a nod, and then downed the rest of his beer. Bulma was about to say something about her being in a bar, but decided that the bar didn't really have the typical atmosphere of a bar, and so just hugged her and said "hi" as well.

"Wow, there's lots of people here. Strong people. I just hope Raditzu's not mad at me." Bra recalled him reprimanding her back on Earth, when she was overcome by anger and blasted her own brother into the ground. She then recalled the fearsome power Raditzu had somehow wielded, destroying Dars as though he were some run-of-the-mill fool.

"Can I get a Sprite or something? And maybe a couple of baskets of chicken wings for our table." Bra asked the bartender.

"Sure, what the hell." the 'tender replied, walking away to fill the order.

"Bra, how can you pay for that?" Bulma interjected.

"Oh, come on." Bra said with a smirk, flashing a Capsule Corp credit card.

"That's a company card!!"

"You own the company! Who cares?" Bra demanded.

"Well... fine. It's still wrong to use credit cards so irresponsibly, though. If you keep doing that, you'd wind up in debt, and you wouldn't be able to get out." Bra's mother warned.

"Yeah right." Bra stated with a laugh. Being a 'trust fund kid' did, obviously, have it's perks.

The bartender returned, setting the two baskets of food onto the table, and a glass of Sprite in front of Bra, who then handed the bar attendant her credit card.

"Hey, everybody. Just dig in." Bra instructed, taking one of the chicken wings for herself.
"I wasted time and now time doth waste me."

Uub sat at the table drinking his beer, This tourny or what ever the hell it was was going to involve some strong fighters. He glanced at a few around the table. There was Burter, Uub knew how strong he was, Bulma..Bra's mother...she was not one to make mad...then there was an array of other fighters he knew nothing about. His sixth sense was chilling him to the bone as he looked over the long haired saiyan he had seen back on Vegeta and Earth...then there was a Namek..an older man but one who could rip him apart in seconds.

He shook his head as he downed the rest of his beer "Hey Bartender hit me with another.." Uub set the chilled mug down on the table and sat back, keeping to himself...this was not a time for play he quickly assumed..he would have to watch these people and study them...study them and try and figure out their mood.

The Bar keep slid him another Beer and Uub paid "You gonna eat?" Bra asked pointing toward the chicken...he had been to busy thinking to see the order arrive, picking one up he gave another look around the table and decided to enter the mild conversation.
