Been looking forward for the past year to get a ps3, first it was coming out in march, then november, and now it's not coming out till march next year. Well now I'm not sure what to do, I was excited about getting a ps3 for christmas but that's not gonna happen now.

So now I'm not quite sure what to do. What I want the most is to be able to play online with other players, I know Xbox 360 has online gaming, but mostly it's Fps and I'm really not into those sort of games. I prefer Rpgs like Final Fantasy and so on. I don't think I'd ever get the nintendo Wii, firstly I'm not even sure whether you can play online, but also nintendo to me is more for kids in the games they make, also I don't really feel like looking like a ponce waving that weird controller around.

So you guys seems to know alot about games and what not, so what do you suggest I do?

I was gonna get the 360 but a few guys who already brought it complained that it kept crashing after a few weeks. They got a full refund though. I've never been a fan of anyone except Sony so I'm gonna wait for the PS3.

That about sums it up. XBOX 360 hasn't been upgraded enough to truly pwn, though it wouldn't be a bad buy in any stretch of the imagination.

The PS3 is too expensive, and the boomerang controllers are gay. What's the purpose? Are you supposed to throw it at the console to turn it off, and have it come back?

So, Wii is probably the best buy of the three. It'll be the cheapest, and the controller looks kinda cool. And besides, Nintendo ftw.

Actually, I heard it comes out in October. So, unlike the PS3, you can have it for Christmas. Plus, it's cheaper, looks cooler, has a kick ass controler that everyone will know how to play(remote control), it has Mario, Samus, Link, etc. , and can download all the older games from all past Nintendo systems. Did I menition that you could buy TWO of the Wii's and probally still lose more money buying ONE PS3! The choce is obvious. *is buying a Wii*

Just to correct some of your incorrect assumptions: Wii will be coming out this year. It's also going to have a single online system, much like the Xbox 360 (PS3 is the only one of the next-gen consoles to lack this). If you're seriously into games I don't know how you could've missed that stuff, seeing as it's been known for months. Unless you're choosing deliberate ignorance.

Nah, I don't have anything against the PS3, except for the fact that they ripped the motion-sensitivity thing from Nintendo at the last moment. But the reason I'm not going near that thing is that the cost of it is more than six weeks worth of work over the summer for me. There's no way in hell that I'd pay that much for that.

Xbox 360 isn't bad, but it just wasn't as good as people were expecting it to be. Could still be a good buy, but I don't think it's going to be anywhere near dominant when the Wii or PS3 come out.

Wii is just more affordable, more innovative, and has several games that are more or less "must buy" for me, which PS3 won't have, and Xbox 360 won't have either. Sure, their controllers could bomb, but if they turn out to be good, Nintendo's likely to dominate the consoles in this era.

Between Assassins Creed, MGS4, Unreal 2007, and Resistance: Fall Of Man, the PS3 has my vote.

Although, to be fair, Id rather spend 600 dollars to play Spore with decent specs.
