Eh, thats all bull. The basic 20GB PS3 will be 500, which seems more than enough to handle the load of what Im going to use it for. Xbox is 400 with hard drive and the online will cost, Im sure Wii will run at least 200, and wont have any next gen video support (I think). You get what you pay for if you ask me.

Wii controllers look even more confusing, that's one of nintendo's faults, with every new system they have a new controller. The PS3 new controller will be sweet cause it's tilt sensative, meaning you pull the controller to the left and your character will go to the left(Madden NFL 2007). Other than that, it's the same controller that the Playstation has had for years, which in itself is awesome cause you won't have to learn something new every time a new system comes out.

Nintendo is going to fail, that's my opinion. GC was supposed to be better than PS2 and it failed, now they think Wii's going to compete with the X-box 360(which is basically a PC) and the PS3, both big names and promise versus consistant failures in the Nintendo industry. They're going to put up a fight, but like the every other attempt, they're going to fail. The only thing Nintendo has is NES(which still rocks), SNES(which also still rocks), and Gameboy, major consoles are not their forte.

And 13, its not a fault. Its just different. Nintendo tries different things. Sony sticks with what's worked for them.

What are you basing your information off of, 13? GC was supposed to be better than PS2 according to who. And what was being used as a benchmark? What are you going to be judging on once the consoles are out?

Obviously, everything you said is based soley on the American market, too, since the X-Box doesn't mean jackshit outside of the US. Especially compared to Nintendo and Sony.

If you want to promote a system by bashing another (which is what all your thread was) back it up with something.

That said, I'll be getting PS3 for free, but at the cost of not having any for the store demo. It's a price I'm willing to pay for my own >_>

I'm pretty excited about the Wii, but I never went Gamecube because of the system.

Zelda games have always rocked. Same with Metroid, I can't think of one of either that I would deem bad. Mario games have been pretty awesome as well.

Basically, the only thing you'll get from a certain console itself is graphics, and most people don't care about them. I REALLY hope the whole motion sensitvity works out for Nintendo. But, this whole thing reminds me a lot about when the DS was coming out.

People thought the touch screen would suck horribly, and yet a lot of games use it awesomely. Lost Magic for one off the top of my head.

Its going to happen to Nintendo again. Its unavoidable. Despite how cool it sounds (and it does) the Revolution controller has a huge gimmick. Some people are going to use it appropriately and some will waste the money on making a game that does nothing but exploit said gimmick.

DS was a perfect example, PD. There are a bunch of shitty games for the DS that are just there because oooooo look a touchscreen! But when those games stoped doing well, people stopped making them.

I don't think I'll be getting a Wii, all the games magazines that I read really hype it up but it's just not something I'm excited about. I just prefer the safe old controller. The main thing I want is online play, for rpgs and football games, so it's definately between Xbox 360 and PS3. I'm just really pissed that once again us Brits get the short end of the straw.

Well, thats pretty far off. If it wasnt for the PS3's sound system, you wouldnt be able to push 7.1 Dolby out of that new entertainment system... among other things.

I dont know, Im still pretty heavy on the cosmetics. Large part of what I look forward to is graphics... the only time gameplay dependant games became a hit were when they were completely original and ahead of their time. Katamari Damaci for example.

I've noticed, that for the DS, the best games have come straight from Nintendo. No one seemed to want to but the DS to it's full potential, and it can do pretty well. Metroid Prime was a good example of it's graphics.

But, one of the coolest things I liked was the online too. That, and the fact that I got to tell Super Buu I hated him for pwning me over a built in microphone.

Edit: Sorry Bido, my mistake, I meant I don't care about them all too much. As long as the developers tried, ya know?

Yeah I wish I would've got the ds now instead of the psp. My sister got a ds and I got it to play online for her easy. But the psp is weird, there's a site where you can screw with the wireless and trick it into thinking it's playing with players close by but actually you're playing against other people in different countries. But I thought it all sounded abit iffy so stayed away from it. Hopefully they'll sort it out and I can start playing online on it, cause most of the single player games suck ass.

Meh, well, I know one thing. I don't care if other games make the motion-sensitive Wii controller take a dive bomb. That new Zelda game's usage of it (as it says it will) is enough to convince me to buy the system. The archery system, and the swordfighting will be awesome to do, if not make you feel like a total retard doing it, too. XD
That, and the new SSB:B, MP-3 and Mario Galaxies pretty much does it for me.

Regardless, Lost Planet and Halo 3 do look like they're going to be awesome.

Wii comes out this november iirc.. And its "the" the to have.

If anything.. its easier to draw girlfriends into gaming with a Wii besides the television with that nice remote then with an XBOX360.
