Well, it's a damn shame, considering there's some great sigs, but I'll just have to switch them off.

If you guys ever actually make sigs that have normal, fighting poses of your characters and stuff, let me know.

The current ones are hella tame comparatively.

I think it's been a bit excessive in the past. I think what we have now is fine, but the upskirts/oversized breasts making their escape sigs of the past have been too much.

The member range goes to like 12 yrs old, and that's where it gets a little iffy.

Hence why I don't go do it out in public. And rarely if friends are around, unless they're like...one of my closer friends. Who know my soft spot for both DBZ and writing.

Another thing that brings up...I like RPGs. I plan to stick around for a long time...even into my 20s, maybe even 30s. I can't really imagine completely letting Chubbs go, at all.

What if my girlfriend/wife/whatever the Hell thinks it's childish?

Just something that flits through my mind, from time to time. Bringing your date home and saying, "One sec, I can't bang you right now. I'm about to earn SSJ," might not bode over well. Not that I'd choose SSJ over banging.

EDIT: Also, my sigs are never really 'suggestive'. I'm more into the actually RPing of the character as an individual than I am into her random sex appeal to the browsers of this forum.

When it really comes down to it, Sel, you're developing yourself as a writer and honing a personal skill that you value. Not only in the actual practice of writing, but also as casting yourself into a character that you're catalouging the adventures of and, to one degree or another, care about. Additionally, analyzing the writings of other and how they do something in a different way than you would have is one of the best ways to improve your own skills and abilities. No one can look down upon the time and effort you're putting into the perfection of a skill, such as you have done or are doing.

I suppose that if your girl really cares about you at all, she'll probably not care. My friend Amber, who's my neighbor and stuff really could care less. She comes over and like, yoinks the mouse every so often for an instant messenger, and knows 100% that I'm scrawling down an RP for a DBZ site.

I guess maybe some just think of it passively, and don't really have an opinion on it at all.

My personal 2 cents: I like the sigs the way they are. We are supposed to be a mature roleplaying community after all, right? I mean, we're not showing anything too extreme, we know the rules. No nips, no nudity. I think we've followed those rules pretty well.

As for how I portray my character in my sigs, I don't give two shits on if someone really likes it, sexy/provocative and also kick ass is how I portray Violet in my writing, and I'd like to reflect the same in my sig. Also to note, that whilst mine may be on the provocative side, I don't let it go too far. No offense to 18, but panty shots just aren't my thing.

However, there isn't anything wrong with our sigs as long as we follow the no nudity rule. As stated above, we're a mature roleplaying community. We can have sex scenes written into our roleplays (I've seen it done, and I've done one, but it never goes into anything too deep beyond kissing), grotesque violence in literary form, and massive loads of other mature oriented materials, why the hell not have something in our sigs, even if it is a little provocative, as long as it doesn't break the rules set forth before?

That's true. What's more questionable...nudity, or ripping out a spinal cord and strangling a victim with it?

Face it, some of the things done in our RPs make our signatures look like a fun-filled episode of Barney.

No offense taken Violet. I myself don't really fancy the big boobs, but I think that your signatures are fine (when Freiza added the bit on the front). None of them are thay bad, but for some reason they are seen as something bad, just because we like to use the art we do. I love these poses, I love that my character looks innocent but she isn't.

I have to agree. What do you want to admit to? Roleplaying a character on a DBZ RPG that's over 7 years old- or looking at porn.

Ain't that the truth. I've checked the boards once at school and people probably already assumed I was surfing for porn either way.

Anyways, I don't care. I voted it doesn't bother me though just to end the whole discussion on it =O

I dislike censorship in art, and I've even complained to my English teacher about words being asterisked out in a book or two of his lying around, but I can understand it. I didn't do 18 an Imagination Sig yet because I'm trying to think of something that's not a repeat of the joke I used for Violet's. =P

I'm still indifferent myself (except for when in public places or when someone's over my shoulder, at which point it becomes ... bothersome) but I can see that some people might be offended. Especially as there's kids on the site. Personally I'm against censorship and all that jazz, but some people might find it offensive. And a lot of it is just openly provocative.

For some reason it only seems to be the RL gals who get borderline. >_> Though Bra has done it from time to time. I've never seen anything of Celipa's that gets even close. I forget who the other IC chixxors are.
