Y'all say it's impossable to catcht he super powers, but.. doesnt make sense to me. Look at Burter for example; He's only been here for about 3 years now, yet he's up there with Rei, and rad somewhat, who have both been here since CDBZ started. I dont see how its impossable?

Will we keep the current Artistic Interpertation system? Like.. someone says "this is what he looks like" when he joins, and then awhile later, said person is like.. "this is what he looks like now", would it have to at least resemble the first pic? Unless their appearance was somewhat altered otherwise(IC)?

I know staff doesnt like people switching to saiyans for the obvious reason, will there be a restiction on races? Myself and Bulma were discussing this on XTC forums like.. week and a half, two weeks ago and Im curious. I dont want to see 3784329784 saiyans running around, I'd seriously wanna gain power just so I could slaughter them all and make them leave the RPG =(

I had more questions, but I cant think of them atm, and Ill think of more later. Though, I do agree with Aqua, I enjoy writing, but not when I know that my character work is going to be erased(I have it all on word, but still). Is there something that will keep us going?

As for stats, the big one for me is the proactive rewards (AS LONG AS THEY ARE DONE RIGHT YOU BETTER GOD DAMN WELL DO IT RIGHT STAFF I DON'T WANNA SEE QUANTITY>QUALITY I DON'T WANNA HAVE IT BE A MINISCULE INCREASE >=[). It's nigh-impossible for people to catch up. Also, the reason that Rad and Rei's stats are closer to Burter's than they should be is because I believe the starting newbie stats were upped to make it not so horribly unfair.

People who have been RPing here before the switch will -probably- get a small benefit, but bloated stats such as those of us in the top ten (and power-ups) will all be eschewed.

It's essentially like we're pulling the pack way closer together.

It's up to you. Change your appear when you transform or don't.

You have to be approved before you join, so obviously all the copy-cat characters would be refused

Major changes would probably be less likely, but there will be more freedom with character images like that. Although you will be encouraged to not use pictures of major, famous characters. Cloud, Goku, Naruto, etc. People tend to base their character around the character of the image they've selected... and that's not at all what we're going for here.

By sliding scale, im saying that it sounds like you guys will take the base ki levels, convert them to fit the new system, and throw ou transformations. Non transforming moves will be kept, and transformations will be replaced by some form of statistical compensation I'm assuming.

@ Bra: I'f we're brining the pack together, then one might say that we are sliding the scale of power to a different statistical format. I don't think my termonology is "crap."

No worries. I'm just wanting to clarify. I know it may not seem like it sometimes, but I have a busy life. I dont play video games, i don't have a hang out spot, I don't have any other hobbies besides this. When I'm not in school, with my family/ friends/ GF, studying, working training for track. or doing research this is how I spend my time. As dorky as that sounds, I don't really care. I have a couple hours to myself in a day and I enjoy losing myself in an interactive story myself and new friends have created. So when something like this happens on a site I RP on (cause this one is the only one I currently write on), I care about the specifics. Because, as you can see, I need to determine if this change is something that will render this site worth my time or not. It seems like it has some good points, I'm just trying to be specific so I can make up my own mind about something staff has been working on for a while. Hopefully, the things that myself and others have brought up help in the adjustment process.

Aqua think of it this way. You're character is pretty much custom as it is, you could probably somehow carry over when this happends.

Well waff said we could keep our cannon chars, so it isn't that particular issue that vexes me. At this point, I'm kind of just curious about how current stats will be converted to the new system. For example, if we are switching to new stats all together and just using the base ki level to determin older chars new starting ki level under this new system, has anyone considered the possibility of someone just boosting their INT from now till the system switch in April, and getting a lot of non transforming moves before the system switch?

As I understand it, everyone is going to find themselves a lot closer ki level wise. I'm just curious about the statistical specifics. What stats are carrying over, which are being thrown out, what new stats will effect ki level, etc etc.

This thread was created to help us along in the development of this project. We needed to know what we should address and how we should go about this from this point. We have pretty solid plans and a very creative team working on it, but we don't have all the details. I'm sorry about that but if we did then we would be putting this into action, not just giving you guys the warning about it. And really, it's still far off and anything could happen.

One of the complaints about the way this RPG is run was that we don't tell people about what we're planning, and historically it was because someone always has a problem with it. I've been sent as the public relations guy, so I'm doing my best to inform you guys of what we're planning.

Aqua, I'm pretty sure all stats will be reset, we may not have ki, but a different way of measuring power. It'll be completely different from what we have now. As for techs, well, I doubt anyone will keep those, but compinsation is likely.

EDIT: The point is that everyone will be equal, we hope.

Not to refute the word of a staffer, but it says in the first post 'Non-powerup abilties will carry over'. I'm guessing that Waff's right, but ... don't kick the base of the tower. That fact is part of what's keeping me from flipping out like a mouse trap ninja. >_>
