What if you were allowed to insert your history into a custom character, and simply roleplay as if your custom had done all of the things that your canon had?

Not saying we're planning to do this, I'm simply curious.

What would be the difference? I'd still have him look almost exactly like Burter. I'm sure Broli would keep the same basic appearance. Same with Bulma.

You're making a big deal out of a small one.

I make Burter into a custom character, all I do is make him green. That's it.

Because that's retarded. Bra is -my- character. Someone who just happens to have the same life experiences as Bra but isn't actually Bra is some lame-ass copout character who doesn't make any sense whatsoever.

I would think about that every day. While that may not seem to be a large problem for you, it would be something that stared me in the face every single time I sat down to write an RP.

I just couldn't pull past something like that.

You will be able to keep your canon but they will still be required to follow the MIA rules. If you lose them they're gone and you can only rejoin as a custom.

It's not the same. I know that doesn't really give you the answer you're looking for.

I've been Hildegarn, Cell, and Broli. Do I consider all three of them the same character? Not at all. As Cell, I earned my x20 powerup and did a personal saga similar to the Fight to Regain Vegeta-Sei. I participated in staff storylines and the like.

Even so, I've yet to consider my characters of Hildy, Cell, and Broli as the same. Regardless of the fact that it's been the same person doing the writing, I still hold distincit and different characters in my mind.

Changing to a custom character would be as significant as changing from Hildegarn to Cell, or Cell to Broli. You're not just changing an appearance.

In regards to the latest ruling, why are canons outside of player control being eliminated completely? And furthermore, when I go on my 12 week hiatus as I've done for the past 3 years, will I be able to resume control of Broli?

This is just so fucking stupid, and unfair to those of us who don't want to give up what we've done. You say this RPG is done for fun, and the switch is to enhance the fun, but you're effectively sucking it away

I could ask the same thing in reverse. Why can't you just let canons stay, but edit their history to be however they like? It's a name. I don't see the big deal. Why the sudden want to exorcise all traces of canon names from the RPG? It's never been a problem before.

If you post with a good reason, such as your 12 week job, you can be exemped.

And they're being NPC'd because the goal is to eventually go all customs, so instead of simply kicking everyone out of their characters we're going to slowly phase the canons out.

For what point? To avoid the MIA ruling? To make him custom you need to start with a new history.
