Btw, I wasn't saying that in a "I hate Max" way. I was just stating my personal opinion based upon my view of his actions. I actuall respect the guy for being straightforward and challenging the way things are, as I believe all great change is brought about by people like that. But, I still think he's a masterful complainer.

Regardless, Chubbs didn't start with stats in the triple digits. It didn't even start out with stats in the double digits.

Naturally some people are going to have to see ridiculous power levels and huge stats, but that's something they'll simply have to deal with.

Ah. I was intentionally vague about that. In addition to the six stats each character has, there are three sub-stats. Weapon Skill is one such stat. These stats are kind of like a mini-powerlevel. They're basic summations of your character's overall ability in various areas. They're also fit into various abilities in one way or another. The sub-stats are Fighting Ability, Ki Manipulation, and Weapon Skill.

I bristled at the idea at first - what with losing all my mojo and everything - but then I figured: hey, that's pretty cool. Even like, security guards with guns might pose a risk and stuff. Granted, I'm only speculating, since we don't have a formula yet and thus have no real powerlevel to work from, and I've kind of left the formula-ey stuff alone since I have this knack for completely screwing up things involving numbers. =(

Why? Everyone else will be around that level too. Just think of it like you would in real life.

IE: When someone hurls you into a brick wall, you don't smash through it and return unscathed. You slam into it and your nose breaks. Ouchies.
