Presenting Abilities

A lot of questions have arisen about abilities and how certain races will be able to do certain things. We've tried to answer these questions as best as we can without getting too specific, but that only works so well.

To give the members a better idea of what exactly they'll be looking at come Turnover, we've decided to show you how the special racial abilities will be formatted. But we leave it up to you to decide which race's abilities we're going to use as an example.

Now, you're being forewarned, some of the race's ability sets are far more interesting than others. We tried to balance things between powerups and racial abilities, so if you want a bit of a hint about who's abilities might be more fun to get a look at, go check out the powerups.

I'll probably leave this poll open for a day or so, unless one race is the overwhelming favorite.

I choose generic. Since it encompasses a wider variety of races, ie anything not specifically labeled, I feel like I'm getting more for my money with it.

I picked Generic, the race I'll most likely be if we're still doing the space pirate thing Bido, can't see any other race being a space pirate

I picked Tsufuru-jin, because they, like Arlians, seem to have really cool stuff hinted at by their lack of powerups.

Their racial abilities will probably be 'meh' since they've got uber physical powerup.

Fortunately, all of the races work for demonstrating the basics of the new mechanics.

Probably b/c the moment we mentioned the customs being allowed, everyone set their minds on "What type of Saiyan can I be?" rather than "What kind of character can I be?"

The saiyan abilities are extremely predictable.

I know, the Saiyan ability will be something completely overplayed like "Gain more stats after a loss," but whatever. They're the protagonist race in the show, so they catch our attention a bit more.

Yeah, as far as the Saiyan thing, that's disappointing. Everyone chooses Saiyan as usual, which is the most predictable as far as what we can display, so yeah, that means you guys will probably be disappointed and be like "Omg this new system sucks". I figured go for something newish, but sure, why not, you are interested in "OMG DID THEY LET US HAVE SSJ3 AND 4????"

I picked Generic, as that's what I think I'm gonna be, and I want to see the abilities so I can make sure. I picked it because Saiyans, Namekians, Changelings, Tsufuru-Jin, and Androids are predicatable, and I don't really care to see Arlians or Reptilians.

BTW, did you perhaps choose Reptilian, Burter?

I'm looking forward to glancing over what Tsufuru-jin has to offer, seems the most interesting and 'potential-loaded' aside from Reptilian in the races.

He was going to be an android like Android 17 and 18...only instead of human, he was going to be a Sayain before becoming an android and his main race would Android...not Sayain. Althought rept and namekian are starting to sound good too. *never really liked sayains...had a facination with the nameks and androids though lol*
