Power-Up Ring
#1
This weapon was in 06, and was used twice, both times to acquire third tier levels. Dana (as A-13, I think) and then Reijin.

Last year, I left it out of the list due to popular opinion of it being too strong.

What do you think? Should we let the item that enhances a power-up by one tier back in?

Could it be used by people who lack power-ups? For instance, to get a first level kaioken? Or spiritken?

At least I'll have tango'd at all!

Yes, if it can give T1 Power Ups to those that don't have one, than I'm all for this being added.

Wait, it gives? As in, forever?

Or lends? As in.... um... nonforever.

Just for DA, not forever heh.

That'd be retarded XD

There. Now you're right. But yeah, I suppose it would be kinda weird. To get powerups without earning them. But it'd still be flipping awesome.

And a downside to that (for the people getting the T1 powerups) would be that they don't get to choose. Like, Warako may want SNS, but he really gets Spiritken.

It doesn't work like that. With a powerup ring, Retane would be able to attain Ultra Namekian. I would be able to obtain Super Kaioken.

So in the hands of someone with nothing it'd be useless?

If so, I'd say no. Keep it out.

Yeah, if it gives people T1 then I say put it in. It would make a fight if say, someone without a power-up went against lets say, Rad, in a fight and he is SSJ2.

Eh, I say leave it out.

I like how Zangya is all "if it doesn't benefit me, then no."

The real answer, however, is it increases your power-up Tier by 1. So if you have Tier 0, you would go up to Tier 1. It's temporary, you do NOT keep the power-up.

I was wondering why I had 41 posts. <.<

EDIT: Burt, I'm not the only one without a powerup. I'm just saying, if everyone doesn't get a fair chance to use it, then it's not a fair item. It would be basically saying to someone like me "Hey, guess what? You have a weapon, but it's useless, so basically, you've got nothing." I enjoy your compliments on my cutthroatness, however. XD

Because it's in the IC RP'ing forum. Very observant though.

Fine with me than.

It would suck getting blown into pieces from Rad or Rei if they went SSJ3 and poked me. XD

But it'd make good reading material I bet.

Tier 0 means "you got nothin'", right? So, like, Tier 1 is like Oosaru trained or spiritken untrained etc.

If you're limiting the number of possible weapons, I say leave it out in favor of something more interesting.

Otherwise, sure, bring it back.

With a 36-hour IC cooling period (or something alone the lines), sure.
