Time it takes to make a rp post

Yeah, so I was just curious how long on average it takes you guys to make a decent sized roleplay post. Personally I'd say it takes me like about 2 hours to make a post, maybe it's cause I'm relatively new to roleplaying.

Depends on the length and if I am really in the mood. If I am in the mood, 1200 words/hour.

Around that for me, too. Sometimes faster, sometimes slower. Considering that I'm usually talking on AIM while I do it, too.

If it's important, then it can take all day, and sometimes two or three.

I've mastered the art of fast writing with decent quality thanks to DA06. Still, nothing beats sitting and thinking it all out

A couple of hours to a day and then some depending on what type of writing it is or what kind of mood I'm in. I like to think things out too much sometimes, and I can't get distracted rather easily most of time.

I am capable of busting out about 3 RPs a day, maybe more, depending on motivation. I've been lazy lately, so a couple days, especially if I want to make it good.

I personally almost never think about my posts before I type them. I usually have other things demanding my attention throughout the day.

I could easily rp like 3 times a day, and i've done a ton of posts since i came hear like 2-3 months ago.

but lately i just write whatever comes to my mind, then i read through it and add/remove things. i'd say bout and hour or so lately.

EDIT: and i think my best writing has come while i've been dead, which is when i began to take more time writing.

Ditto. I learn my lesson when I started thinking what to type about when riding my bike at full speed, then crashing into a cab and flying over the handle-bars and landing face first into a tree........

30 minutes probably for an average sized/decent post by me. An hour if I want to make it good.

To make it really good, I take some time. I actually do all my posts in these little post boxes, and never have typos. But usually I'll bust out the half hour/hour posts, that're still of decent quality.

By the way, Burt, your DA posts are some of my favorite ever. They topped decent quality, by a long shot.

Dont know how many words it is but I usually aim for about a page in wordpad. Once I get into it and don't get stuck I fly but sometimes there's distractions, so between 30mon- 2 hours.

BNut ifd I dive into a RP asnd try to hard to the fact that I start cofusing people. I think that one took like 4 hours with distractions.

A typical post can take me anywhere between 10 minutes-an hour to type up. At average quility and length for me.

I share Burt's time, as well. The current RP I have coming up, I've worked on for about two days now. That doesn't mean it'll blow anyone away; it just means that there's been a lot and effort into attempting to say exactly what needs to be said and that it is said exactly how I want it to sound.

An interesting fact is that a multitude of great writers, such as Hemmingway, would spend half their days working on anywhere from a chapter or so to just a few lines, attempting to perfect it.

Geez, if I were doing like 1000-1500 words per hour I'd get out like 3 roleplay posts per day. How long did it take you lot when you were just starting out roleplaying?

About the same. Maybe like, 900 words an hour, actually...

It's not about speed. Some people type faster. It happens.

It's about the content.
