Time it takes to make a rp post
#21
I usually put in like 45 min-1 hour for a RP. But sooner or later I'll start putting more effort into it.

It hasn't really gotten better or worse for me. I feel my RPs have gotten a bit better in quality because I spend more time on them. If I don't spend as much time on them, they aren't as good, and you can tell.

Probably 666 words/hour.

I never revise. I'm basically taking a creative writing class for no credit at lunchtime, so my English teacher will be helping me change that. He says I have the narrative voice of a writer. Wtfpwn.

My english teacher was really good and I've been trying to avoid having to use shift+F7 all the time by not saying the same thing at all. Also, needless big words and excessive adjectives I would never normally use are no longer my staple. Hopefully my RP's now are better than they used to be.

It can take me anywhere from a half hour to two days to write any length RP. All depends on what else is happening and my concentration at the moment.

It usually takes me a day or two, unless Im really in the mood or have a ton of time on my hands. The latter never happens too much anymore.

Depends on the time of year. Post-summer, I get slow. Then I pick up again around Winter.

It depends on the idea for the RP and the occasion, but a well written and relativly long RP could take from 1-2 hours.

Well, on average it takes me about 30min to crack into 1,000 words. Maybe's it's because I don't really contemplate every sentence. I usually let my instincts drive my writing. Also, I rarely proof read.

If nothing else demands my attention, 1000 words per 30mins. If I have other things going on, it usually takes me about an hour.

Man you guys...

1000 words in an hour/half-hour? I'm lucky to sit down for an hour and have 300. Im not a slow typer, I'm just slow at constucting a good paragraph I guess, because I'm never staisied with my end product. Up until seconds before I post im still poking in a different word choice here or elaborating a point there. It hurts me in the end because I sometimes get so frusterated that I cant word something I dont post and I dont want to post for days afterwords.

That's what I'm like, I can't believe some people say they don't think about what they're writing. Surely that's impossible, if I just typed without giving it thought the end product would be like something a 8 year old wrote.

Well, I think, but it mainly just flows naturally, since I'll usually be thinking about the general idea amongst other activities.

An hour and a bit for a full paged RP. I check over it, at least twice!

About 20 minutes for my spar posts, and about a hour for my "normal" sized posts.

For roleplays that are important, it can take up to three hours, on average.

^^ ditto...I'll admit. Most of my rps on here have been like average. I haven't done a quest or anything yet but when I do I'm going to do my hardest to impress the readers.

It usually takes me half an our though to crack a good rp 500-800 words, and thats if I'm being bothered or annoyed by my family lol. If I'm left alone in peace and have my music thumping then I can get out 1k in half a hour or less.

1500 words an hour.

About the same for me.

However, I don't actually start writting until I already have the jist of the post planned out. By "jist" I mean thinking to myself "X needs to happen, and then Jo and Bob need to find Y and use Z by the time I finish writing."

I honestly don't know. <.< I'd assume that it takes me around an hour to type a really good one if I've thought about it prior to starting.
