This is mainly for Rad since he's going to post the event tomorrowish.
Piccolo isn't dead, but he did discharge most of his energy to wipe out the zombies. Android 17 and Pigero continued onward, as per Piccolo's request(so he could sacrifice himself). But Piccolo's explosion did rattle the pyramid a bit.
