is pretty awesome. I've only played like 2 matches but I played all the classes and most of them were cool. It wants to crash a lot but in DX10 mode I can play for about an hour or longer without problems.

Everyone get it and come play with me.

As far as I know you have to pre-order the Half-life 2 Orange box (includes HL2, HL2 ep 1&2, Portal and TF2) and then you get beta access which is what I'm playing. Official launch is like Oct 10.

I might just have to do that then becuase Portal is like badass. How much for just Episode 2 Portal and TF2? I have HL2 and ep 1 already...

Team Fortress 2 is pretty much awesome. Even in beta, most of the classes are pretty well balanced and, with only one or two exceptions, they're all pretty fun to play.

I played a little TF2 beta when it was released. Very fun for a FPS (I'm not usually a fan of CS-style games) but so far I haven't figured out a way to play it at uni. Engineer and Doctor were my favourites, since I tend to suck at shooting.

I really like the Spy class. Soldier and Heavy are tied for my second fave.

Haha, yeah, Spy is a lot of fun. My first kills were with Spy, and the sheer glee of one-shotting someone with a knife is hard to emulate.

Fuck I need to move off campus =(

I'm actually really liking the Pyro since they changed the burn damage. I got the 25 headshots award so I think I'll never be sniper again...

Anyone who has this should yell at me on steam if you wanna play. I'm usually down.

They won't be able to play on Steam servers, which is really unfortunate because that'll make finding a game pretty hard, I'd think. Plus, only 16 player max on 360/PS3 instead of the 32 players on Steam.

16 player max isn't too bad, though I probably wouldn't play with any fewer people.

I didn't think people would be able to play cross-platform. Too bad.

I think 10-12 players per team is the best for this game. Enough people that you can have a challenge for both teams and one side doesn't just get steamrolled while they wait for the respawn.
