Medical Uses for Drugs
#1
I like how that drugs the government can't (a) control the currency of and/or (b) deem too dangerous for society; most drugs are still deemed okay for medical use though.

Cocaine - Though this is considered a hard drug, it can actually save lives. I'm no doctor or anything, but I have seen a coke addict shot in the chest by a shotgun and live. The doctors that worked with him in the hospital even told him that the coke saved his life, keeping him alive long enough for the docs to save him.

Marijuana - I think everyone knows the medical uses for this, right? People with AIDS sometimes get it to help enlarge their appetites. People get it for severe headaches, and yada yada.

Heroin - Though heroin itself isn't really used in the medical field, its relative, morphine, is. They're both opiates, thus essentially doing the same thing. Used to dull pain and such.

Methamphetamine - I honestly don't have a clue for this one.

LSD - No real clue.

Shrooms - ^^^^

So if ya'll know the medical uses for the ones I don't, or simply want to argue or comment, go at it.

Maybe it's just me who can't see the big picture, but why do you wish to bring this up? Just about everyone in the world know that drugs in healthy doses can save lives. Is it purely to find out the effect of Methamphetamine, LSD and shroooooooooms?

This is a sketchy topic. My gut says take it to PM's if you are going to discuss that stuff.

The addictivness of Coke, Meth, and Heroine somewhat limit their worth meethinks. Morphine is not quite the same thing, in that its not nearly as potent.

Mary Jane has been used for thousands of years as a treatment for chronic nausea and a pain reliever. And I think everyone's heard of the glaucoma deal.

As for LSD and Shrooms. I dunno. I don't think they have anything productive to em besides the opportunity to ride a pink dragon into the sunset.

edit: I don't think this'll be a problem as long as we keep it professional

If you keep it proffessional, it's fine with me. A higher up will intervene if they disagree; I honestly don't know. I'm just thinking about Kame House content logic.

LSD was intended to be a mind control drug and it failed. If there was a secondary use for it beyond riding pink dragons (lol), then the gov'ment would have found it out.

You know, if the gov could control the currency of marijuana coming into the country, they'd probably make it legal.

LSD can be used to cure migraines and cluster headaches, it has a 45% success rate in curing alcoholism versus therapy's 12%, and therapists have had success in giving it to mental patients and taking it themselves to better understand schizophrenia

And shrooms are being tested and so far are getting positive results in anxiety and panc disorder use and its currently being in testing for use wth cancer patients.

And meth well

Dextromethamphetamine is used medically under the brand name Desoxyn for the following conditions

Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder
Extreme obesity;
Narcolepsy

10 mg DesoxynBecause of its social stigma and toxicity, dextromethamphetamine is not generally prescribed for ADHD unless other stimulants, such as methylphenidate, dextroamphetamine, lisdexamphetamine or other stimulant drug treatments have failed.

Other uses
A new study by a group of University of Montana scientists showed that methamphetamine appears to lessen damage to the brains of rats and gerbils that have suffered strokes. The researchers found that small amounts of methamphetamine created a protective effect, while higher doses increased damage. The work is preliminary, and more research is needed to confirm and expand the findings; however, U.M. research assistant professor Dave Poulsen said someday humans may use methamphetamine to lessen stroke damage

The cure is a shotgun, the cure is whatever blunt instrument one can salvage.Whomever finds themselves too proper will be the first to perish. And you know nothing that matters now.

That's some awesome thinking right there.
