Wow. I knew he was old, but i really didnt expect this. He was a really funny dude and he changed the face of comedy. A true cultural icon. I wish nothing but the best for his family and RIP.

NOOO. God dammit, you'd better be joking me. One of my goals has been to somehow get to a Carlin show. He's my favorite comedian Dammit dammit dammit. >.< I guess that's why he was so determined to get that recent show out when he did And why he was making so many "getting old" jokes, probably just knew. Or stopped caring, since his wife died a long time ago, but I don't think he ever got around to writing that life timeline for his website he kept intending to do.

Yea, I made a thread, but this one has the mature tag, so stick with this. I can honestly say, this destroyed the game of wii bowling I was playing. I've been pretty bummed since I found out.

What's sad is I have a very Carlinesque joke I could make here, but it would highly offend some people on this site (which fits the man, to be honest.)

But Carlin = God in my eyes, and this blows. He's someone who's very realistic and did a lot of shit that should have killed him a long time ago, and despite that he has managed to survive this long and used that humor to bestow wisdom to people from the point of view of someone who's lived through it all and done it all, and still managed to keep up with the times in terms of personality rather than become a rambling grandpa. That's what I loved about the man, he was so young inside, except for the aged wisdom he constantly reflected on.

I have only seen him once when I was watching a videotape with his act at a party. I only saw a part of it since I had to leave to catch the train home. He was very extreme compared to other comedians, but he was still quite funny. His death is a loss.
