For the first new article of Eyes on You, I want to look at the CPW, the new Chubbs side-game run by myself. It features 25 people battling it out in a series of poll battles to ultimately win a championship.

The premise is simple. You start fueds and storylines, and ultimately try to win over the voters (we've gotten around 30 per show) so you can win the matches. The better you do, the more chances you have getting a chance to win a championship.

The big title is held by Celipa, called the Universal Title. Under that, for up and comers, is the Asylum Title. And the currently inactive Tag Titles will for teams once we get enough active tag teams.

While we have a lack of storylines going on, there is plenty of room to get involved. We have a roster of 25, and after every four shows, at the PPV, we cut 5 people to make room for people on the waiting list. You'll always have room to jump back onboard once cut.

I wanted to feature this first because it's been a huge success with so many voters, and I think it's going to be around for the long haul. I encourage everyone to participate, give more ideas, and just plain vote in matches.

Since this forum is back, I'll be making my return by highlighting the best writers of Chubbs. I haven't decided if it'll be weekly or monthly (probably weekly), but it'll be back regardless.

I will be going over the following details of the character in the following categories.

-Why they are featured
-Their writing perks
-Character personality/background
-Current storyline
-Ideas for the future

In addition, I will not be taking requests of who to do articles on. If you want to be featured, be noticable. That simple. I check the IC boards very often to keep in touch of with the Chubbs world. I don't let good writing pass by me.

The way I will pick my next articles will be either by my personal choice, or a poll of several people and will do the article on the highest voted character.

I hope you enjoy the new format I plan to use. Oh, and props to Krillin for suggesting this be brought back.

The Grey Scale
Author: Hellfighter 17
Perfection

Its luster is one that has been sought after for basically ever. Many have spent their entire lives attempting to reach this complexity, many have thought they reached it; others have come to conclusions about life?whether it be too late or not.

What I find as a perplexity about ?perfect? is how it is perceived. How can one truly say that one thing is perfect and something else is not? Would it not be based solely on opinion? Or, has some unknown power or force declared a certain state of existence (e.g.: omnipotence, omniscience, etc.)? Who is to say that perfect really exists? That is what I am going to explore; the metaphysical realm of ?perfection? and its existence, or lack thereof.

First, I will state reasoning for it not existing, as that will make it easier to explore the other portion of this article. (I must say right now that this part may become very speculative and more bases on science than on metaphysics.) If perfect did exist, it would have to be all powerful, and all knowing, and so forth?basically, it would know and be bale to do everything. They would do everything perfect at exactly the right time. This would also then mean that, if they are perfect and all powerful, would they not be able to do it with no time elapsing? Wouldn?t they have to do it with no time passing by, since they are perfect? This would mean that no time would ever pass, but that contradicts a very fundamental property of the university as we know it.

The universe is made of multiple dimensions, one might say length, width, height and time. Time acts together with the other three to cause ?timestacks?, which, when placed in chronological order atop of each other, create the sequence of events that make up our universe. To say that one could complete things without time, or to stop time in anyway, is quite arguable. Basically, this says that perfection is not possible in the universe as we know it?a universe that is composed of time.

On the other hand, though, what if perfection doesn?t mean omni-anything? I described a perfect being as someone who would do the perfect thing at the perfect time, so one could possibly argue with fate, saying that everything we do is consequential to the happenings, and that time only helps this. This could mean that everything is perfect in itself, which, in some people?s eyes, devalue perfection and nullify it, but the principle says that everybody is supposed to be perfect, meaning the world and everything around us is perfect. I am perfect, you are perfect. Imperfection cannot exist in this world.

There could be other variables for a perfect or imperfect?or even a combination of the two?but the two I talked about seemed to be the most intriguing to me. Perfection could exist, it could not exist; the same goes for imperfection. There could even be an intermediate or a state of non-existence for the both of ?em. I will let you decide of their existence.

Tae Kwon Do is an ancient Korean art of Self-Defense. This art of hand and foot fighting is the ultimate in self-defense and physical fitness for men, women, and children of all ages. Through the scientific use of the body in methods of self-defense which is one of mankind?s most priceless pieces of wisdom, Tae Kwon Do ultimately aims at development of the character of its participants. Those who practice the art of Tae Kwon Do will obtain, through vigorous and tireless training, self-confidence, patience, physical fitness, mental alertness, leadership, humility, and respect among other attributes.

Tae Kwon Do is a martial art that has no equal in power and techniques. Further, its discipline, techniques, and mental training are character builders. The formation and conditioning of mind and character are its basic tenets. Without this mental conditioning, the student will only become a ?street fighter?. The student in his ignorance, may believe he has superior techniques, but when matched with someone who has taken time to master the deeper, more reflective aspects of the art, he will be defeated.

There may be those who believe Tae Kwon Do consists of only a few special techniques that, once mastered, will instantly metamorphose the student into an ?expert?. Some schools of Karate/ Martial Arts will guarantee the student a black belt after a year or training. There are advertisements in the magazine that tell the reader to buy a certain book, read it and instantly learn all the ?deep dark secrets? of the Orient and qualify as a ?Karate Expert?. There are no quick and easy roads to any martial arts, especially Tae Kwon Do. The mastery of its secrets cannot be bought at any price other than serious, guided and rigorous training. It is an art tested and tempered on the lawns of Buddhist monasteries against the steel of wandering bandits, or on the gutted and war torn fields of combat. Its history is a long and honorable one.

The origin of Tae Kwon Do can be traced back to Koguryo Dynasty founded in 37
B.C.; Mural paintings found in the ruins of the royal tomb built by that dynasty show scenes of Tae Kwon Do practice. The ceiling of the Muyong-Chong has a painting of two men facing each other in Tae Kwon Do practice, while the mural paintings of Kakchi-Chung show two men involved in ssireum(Korean wrestling).

In the southern part of the Korean peninsula, there was a small kingdom called Silla. Silla was famous for its Hwarang. Korean culture and martial arts of the period were strongly influenced and enriched by the Hwarang, a military, educational, and social of the noble youths of Silla. The five code honor on which the Hwarang was based upon included Loyalty to the nation, respect and obedience to one?s parents, faithful and honorable to one?s friends, courage in battle, and avoidance of unnecessary violence and killing.
Not the best roleplayer, or the brightest guy, but you knew he had some form of intelligence by the way he typed and held a conversation.

Back then hardly anyone died. In fact the afterlife was completely empty. Nobody was there. Until of course the old Goku Jr, who was a moron, decided that he would get his buddy Minoshia and jump Android 16
16 kicked their asses, but they still managed to get him dead too.
Mino then spent the next half year dead, training for Kaioken. He got it, and Spirit Bomb, and then went to DA. Did nothing specifically relevant, as he died off quick and went to Hell this time where he got Possession.

Now the reason I picked him for this column is simple. He did all this, not for techniques or the chance to get recognized -- but because he wanted to be a better writer. And a better writer he became. He got technique after technique, because he earned it himself.
Then the takeover saga came along and he took Minoshia in a new direction. The Evil King of Earth. Mino once again amazed me and the staff by his roleplaying capabilities, his ability to tell a story, and his continued effort to improve.
So take some time, read over some roleplays by him. You'll be impressed. He has a way of sucking you into his void of creativity and I promise you'll walk out of it with a new found respect for writer's on Chubbs in general.
MUD?s For Stupid Imbeciles
By Toma Incorporated

Intro

WTF!!11 What the hell is a MUD? Well, good question. For those of you out there who like Dragonball Z or anything for that matter MUDS could be for you, but for now we?ll use DBZ. MUD stands for Multi User Dungeon, it?s basically an online game, but text based. You enter commands that can make your character do certain things, like pickup weapons, fight MOBS (NPC Computer). But in a Dragonball Z mud there are no weapons, or you need to buy them with large amounts of Zeni, which you can find by killing MOBS. But with every MUD, comes a different playing system. In a Dragonball Z mud, you have Health, Energy, Focus (Allows you to use moves like Big Bang and Gallic Gun) and Power Level. Depending on your power level you can fight certain MOBS, or you can be slaughtered in one hit. Below is an example of the health bar on Dragonball Saga, a very popular DBZ Mud.

(LifeForce:<100> Ki:<100>)
(PowerLevel:<186|205>

Ok, you probably want to play this, but it?s not that easy. You?ll probably want a link or something, but it doesn?t work like that. You need a program called a MUD Client which tunnels into the server that the MUD has been uploaded onto and connects to it.
Then you can follow the onscreen directions to start a character. Below is the character makeup process on Dragonball Infinity.

Enter your character's name, or type new: new

Choosing a name is one of the most important parts of this game...
Make sure to pick a name appropriate to the character you are going
To role play, and be sure that it fits into the DragonBall Z world.
Please type 'HELP' to read what restrictions we have for naming your
Character.

Please choose a name for your character: grim
Did I get that right, Grim? (Y/N) y (Entered Command)

Make sure to use a password that won't be easily guessed by someone else.
Pick a good password for Grim:
HC HARDCORE UNKNOWN
==========================================================================
Hard Core Mode
--------------
Benefits of HC mode:
* You show up on the who list as an 'Unknown'. That way nobody
can tell what your power level is by your rank.
* You will NOT show up on any of the hiscore tables. That way
nobody can attempt to guess how strong you might be.
* HC players will be the ONLY players allowed to collect bounties
that have been placed on other players. (when the bounty code is
turned back on)
* No alignment restrictions at all. So you can spar
anyone, or join any clan. The only people who know what your
true alignment is are the ones you tell.
* You cannot be seen entering/exiting a room, even by other HC's.
* You will not show up on the 'who' list, unless you have your
character configured to.
* In addition to not knowing your power level, people will not
be able to tell who you are unless you have 'introduced'
yourself to them(it's a part of our greeting system).
So, if someone attacks you thinking you're someone else, and
it turns out that they're stronger than you, they get smashed.

The 'Not so Good Things' ™ about HC mode:
* You can be killed by normal or HC players at any time. (it's
like having a permanent red pk flag on) You are protected
until you have 100k pl however.

If played right, the hard core character is by far the scariest
character in the game. The only thing you can ever know for sure
about a hard core player is their name, because, combined with
suppress, they can lie about everything about them selves. If a
hard core character can role play well (or is just a good liar),
everyone else better watch out...

Do you wish to be a HARDCORE character? (Y/N)
A brutal, primitive people, the Saiyans were a race of bandits on
Planet Plant. Their long-time rivals, the Tuffles, managed to keep the
physically strong race in check with their technology. However, the
Saiyans took over the planet when Plant had its first full moon in a very
long time. The planet was renamed Vegeta, and the Saiyans adopted Tuffles
machines for themselves. Ignorance brought the downfall of their race when
they refused to heed Bardock's warning about Freiza. Their home world was
smashed to bits, and only a handful of Saiyans survived. All members of
their race (even halfbreeds) possess the ability to become an Oozaru, with
the amazing technology of humans the saiyan race was brought back from the
brink of extinction. They have just regained their home world and are
beginning to amass armies to conquest once again.
The Gray Scale

Unsubstantiated Human Domination

Many people throughout history have strived to become better than another person or a group of people. In some cases, the failed horrible, in others, they succeeded fairly well to their scheme, even if this dominance was only sustained for a decade or two. There has always been those who want the power, then there are always those who fight to keep the power, and there are also those caught in the middle. I am not here to say whether they are right or wrong--though, I do have my own thoughts on the matter--I am here to give you insight on the circumstances that are constantly surrounding us in one way or another, but most likely that which happens daily. So, do not take these as my personal opinions, but more rather as my observations of human interaction and decisions.

As many of you may have noticed, there is always that person who is quite not treated fairly in a crowd, who is subjugated into being an outcast. The reason that this happens is not a simple on at all, not that their is a real answer for it at all. First of all, I will go into a more specific scenario which I believe a number of you can acquire a relation to. The common name for the first occurrence I will give you is bullying. Many people have experienced, whether they were the ones inflicting, or whether they were the ones that it was being inflicted upon. Sometimes a person was on either end for a very short period of time, or for a very long time, sometimes even at both ends for a lengthened period of time.

Bullying is when one minor attempts domination over another with no reason relating to survival for this. It can come in the form of physical abuse--which is commonly interpreted as the worse of the two by many who are on the outside of the situation--and there is verbal abuse, which can be linked to emotional abuse--in all reality the whole affect of any form of abuse--more so than that of physical. Physical abuse usually involves the occasional shoving/pushing, slapping, punching, kicking, and variations of other physical assaults. Sometimes this can escalate in to a fight, which is usually avoided, which both parties normally which, but one end just decides that it has been enough.

Physical abuse from one person is usually backed by that of other people, who are either laughing along, standing by, inflicting physical pain of with the main inflictor, or by throwing in some verbal assaults. This helps the main inflictor gain the power that they so wish to have. They now have their back-up to keep in line the rest of the people in the area, so that they has power over a large group of people. (The helpers in this situation will also have power over those that are receiving the physical pain.)

Verbal abuse is quite commonly referred to as "name-calling," or "picking on," which I think are fairly simple terms for a fairly complicated situation. It is usually quite normal terms that are used to inflict this. It usually happens by pointing out a minor "flaw" (I use quotation marks since it depends on the person what a flaw really is, so it could vary from one to another) of them, and expand it to seem as though they have committed an illegal action that would cause a couple years in prison when in fact it is not quite near that. It may also include using stereotypes and false use of socially unaccepted traits. Though, this may seem as though it should not effect the abused, when they have had no chance to develop defenses against this due to being induced to this all their lives, it has a greater impact by the day.

It is uncertain as to why exactly some may try to inflict emotional pain onto another, but there are some insights that I would like to share with you. This is after all what this article is about, to give you--the reader--some insights on various subjects. What I have noticed in my span is that it is mostly about power. This need for power could stem from an unstable home life, or even pressure from peers, but the minor becomes acquainted with it. This necessity for power may also stem from abuse that they once suffered from themselves, so they attempt to retaliate against the world by doing so themselves. Any intellectual human being would see that this would obviously cause a chain in which this would never stop. I do not know for a fact is this is right or wrong, but all I know is that its is seen wrong by society, but we'll save that for another issue.

Another situation that is actually very similar to the previous one (not scale-wise, but the reasoning, at least) would be that which is set within adults. Since they seem to have much more power than youth--most of the time--they can create conflict on a much larger scale. A common one would be that of racism. I know that this is a touchy situation, so I will not even attempt to reason it or demoralize it, I will simply use it as an example. I am not very situated on events that involved racism, but it is the best example I can think of, so I will use the Adolf Hitler era (1933-1945). During this period, Germany began punishing the Jews and stripping them of their freedoms. Adolf Hitler--who was currently the Chancellor of Germany, I believe--wanting to have power of a race that he saw was "unfit to live or exist at the same plateau" was on a course against all Jews.

This obsession of power over others most likely stems from stereotypes that he was fed as a child, or he saw that Jews were holding back society. (I am not saying that they were, just giving insight.) This he then used his position of power and it being backed up to gain control over them. (Notice the similarities between this circumstance and the previous?) Whether or not he had this title taken away, he still held this position of power for a period of time. This may also have happened because he simply wanted power over all and thought that this race may have been standing in his way.

Either way, power has drive people to do many things, whether it be on a large scale, or a smaller one. It is still effecting people. I will let you decide if you see this as inhumane or not.

Welcome all, to the brand new article created by me, Tapion. I will be taking you on a tour through the realm of Chubbs. Along the way we will be discussing many different aspects of the Chubbs universe. Today?s topic is power ups. Do you know what power ups are? You don't? Well let me tell you about it!

When you power up, you are getting stronger. Hence the name: Power Up. Your power is going up. When it comes to the realm of Chubbs, there are a variety of different ways that a person actually can power up. A lot of them are actually the same thing as in the anime which Chubbs is based off, but there are some one-of-a-kind unique things that increase your power on Chubbs.

There are power ups for all races on Chubbs. Humans and Saiya-jin and others have power ups and all types can have items that power you up. But here at Chubbs, the staff has tried their hardest when it comes to power ups. They want all races to be equal instead of like in the anime where humans are weaker than saiya-jin. That just isn't fair. So by limiting what the power ups do, the staff can make it fairer for everybody.

Saiya-jin have their own types of power ups. First off, they can start on the planet Vegeta-sei and if they are there for two consecutive weeks, they automatically get a power up: Oozaru. Oozaru is the ability to change into a huge ape-like creature. They get this ability because they have tails and are saiya-jin and that is a saiya-jin trait. But they can't control themselves in this state; not unless they stay on Vegeta-sei four more consecutive weeks. After staying on Vegeta-sei four more weeks, their Oozaru ability will become trained and they can do whatever they want and control themselves.

But that isn't the only Saiya-jin power ups. Once at the right stats, a saiya-jin has the ability to become Super Saiya-jin. Pretty impressive, right? Well it's not as easy as it sounds. The character has to have an intense emotional feeling to trigger the effect of super saiya-jin which makes actually gaining the ability pretty hard because you don't come across those very often.

Namekians also have their own power ups. They have the ability to go Super Namek. That is about the same as going Super Saiya-jin accept for the fact they stay their color, but their stats are maxed by an incredible amount. It takes a lot of good effort put into roleplaying to gain this ability.

Like the other two races, changelings can power up. But their power ups are different. Sure, they will gain a lot of power, but their appearance changes dramatically. That's because they transform. Transforming is changing form, going to one form to another. The thing about changelings, though, is that they usually only have four forms. But each one dramatically increases their power level and takes a lot of roleplaying effort and time but well worth it.

Humans and non-transformers have their own power ups too. For one, they can actively role-play on Earth for two weeks to gain Spiritkin, a weaker power up but still a power up, nonetheless. But the biggest human power up is after you die. When you die and are able to go to Kaiousama's planet, you can learn the Kaioken ability. You have to role-play the ten quests for the Kaioken and the Genki Dama (Spirit Bomb). This is the biggest human power up and other races of characters can get it too. But, you can keep going and do ten more quests for Dai Kaiousama to get the next kaioken after you are at the minimum requirements. This is the peak of human power ups so far since nobody else is really that far.

Another easy way to gain power is with your zeni. Well, you can't just buy your power. But you can buy items that increase your power. Many armors increase your stats which in turn, increase how much power you have overall. And there is also a Bio Suit which you can wear with armor which is VERY helpful as well. You can only wear one type of armor but you can get upgrades for your armor to make it even better and you can wear your Bio Suit and a cloak with it. In the end, it can raise your power level enough from separate stats that you will have almost the same amount of power as a power up. You can also get other things that increase your power temporarily. These are helpful but only at certain times.

Well that concludes Tapion's Random Topics. This is only the first volume of many. Power ups are an important role in this roleplaying game, so you all should know what you can about them. See ya!

Jackie Chuns guide to knowing ones character
V. 1.0

Introduction:

When you saw the name of this article, you probably asked yourself: Why is Jackie making a guide about characters when there is already one? And why did he name his guide after those stupid seminars, that are supposed to help you know yourself, but dont and even take money from you? Well, character details are a very wide subject and it helps to have as much info about it as possible. Also, this guide just might reveal to you aspects that you havent even thought about. I doubt it, but lets stay optimistic. Anyway, back to the subject. It is a fact that people are not all alike. Every person is an individual with his own looks and personality. This even goes to twins. No matter how two people are similar, they can never be the same. This also applies to any of the Dragonball serieses, but to a limited point. Beacuse they are anime, the characters in them are developed to a minimum. There are exceptions, but overall the characters are simple. At Chubbs, we try to fix that by making our characters as realistic as possible and as pleasing to us as possible. Want to know how? Countinue reading this guide.

Chapter 1: Looks

Your probably confused as to why is there a chapter, devoted to looks when every Dragonball character already has them? If you belong to the majority of people, you can calmly skip this chapter. But there are people on Chubbs who are interested in changing their characters appearance, one way or the other. Besides, you dont have many limitations. The first limitation is the name. Even if you do change your appearance, you cannot change your name. The only exception to this rule is if your character had other names in the series, besides his real one (this does not include the names the character had if he fused). A good example of this is me, since I RP Jackie Chun, who is basicly Roshi under discuise. The second limitation is gender. You cannot switch the characters gender, neither can you dress your character as the opposite gender. The last limitation is race. You can go to extremes and be a energy-supported corps like Raziel (Soul Reaver) or have some metal body parts like Frieza did after his regenaration from the battle with Goku. But no matter how much you look like as a member of another race, you will still remain the race your character originally was. So even if your characters body had as much metal as a body of an Android, that still wouldn`t make you an Android. And thats it. Besides those three boundries, you are free to change your characters appearance. But you probably ask yourself: can appearance be useful in Rping? Of course! A persons appearance might show his background or his personality. For example, scars can signify a violent lifetime, while a neklace with animal teeth might represent the characters wild nature. The choice is yours.

Chapter 2: Background

This chapter was only made for those who have barely started their Rping on Chubbs. Every character, no matter if he had a major or a minor role, still did something in the series and acted in his own way. However, there are Rpers on Chubbs who feel bound to their characters nature and acts. If you are one of them, know that you are not.. The events that took place in the series hold no importance in the RPG. That means that there was no Namek or Buu saga. But this does not mean you can`t use past events as RP material! But these past events are mostly those that where never drawn on paper. I remember that Garlic Jr. used childhood memories in one of his RPs. I, too, use Roshis memories of his training with Master Mutaito. You also can RP the way your character acts any way you like. While you cannot change any family relations (Gohan, no matter how he is, is still Gokus son), how your character acts is completely up to you. If you want your character to be a cheater, go ahead. Or if you want your character to be a noble warrior, that completely fine. I mean lets look at Raditzu. He acts as a good guy, even though in the series he was evil. Which brings me to our next subject...

Chapter 3: Alignment

Lets face it. Alignment is a important aspect when it comes to Rping your character. It is the alignment you choose to follow who will determine if you will be a savior for all, a destroyer of worlds, a guy whos simply looking for something to do or something else. But in the series, most of the characters have what I like to call ?cartoonish personalities?. This mean that they are either completely good or completely evil. The only exception is Dragonball who had some diversity, but not much. A good example of this are Yamucha and Bulma who where good guys, but at the beggining where very selfish. Lets not forget that the only reason Bulma made friends with Goku was beacuse she was weak by herself. Now back to our topic. On Chubbs, we try to break these ?cartoonish personalities? and try to make our characters as realistic as possible. Even if you are leaned to either good or evil, that doesnt mean you have to go to the extremes or always stick to your alignment. Even a good character has mistakes and even a evil person can be sometimes inspired to do a noble deed. Of course, you can also choose the middle path and be neutral. Also, you should know, like I mentioned in the previous chapter, you are not bound to the alignment your character had in the series. I once Rped Gohan as evil, even though in the series hes a good guy. You also dont have to stick to one alignment. If you ever feel you want to change your characters alignment, feel free to do so. It will only tribute to the quality of your RPs. In the end, its your choice. But I do advise you follow that famous saying: Nobody is perfect.

Chapter 4: Stats

When you saw the name of this chapter, you probably raised an eyebrow or both of them. What to stats have to do with knowing your character? Usually nothing, if we count out spars and fights. But if you have diverse stats but need a hint as to how to roleplay your character, they can be used as a guideline. For example, if you have a high Determination rate but low Luck rate, you can RP your character as a unlucky person, but who is determined to push on. Or if you have a high Speed rate, but low Intelligence rate, you can RP your character as a person who takes a long time to realize what to do, but when he does, he does it quickly.Other then that, there is no other use connected with stats and personality. But while using your stats as a guideline for personality is ok, I dont advise you use your personality as a guideline for stats. When it comes to distributing TPs, just follow your instinct.

Chapter 5: Environment and race

The einviorment in which a person grew-up and/or lived in effects that persons personality. A person like Roshi, who comes from a lonely island, far from civilization, would probably be bothered by the noisiness of the cities. On the other hand, a person from a city might be scared in the quiet countryside, since there isnt much people around. Enviorment can also be used as a factor when Rping since diffrent people come from diffrent places. For example, when Jackie first came to Namek, he was amazed to see blue grass and green water, but that probably wouldnt be a suprise to someone who has already been there or stayed for a certain period of time. Einviorments can also effect a persons mood, since people are usually scared of dark places. Another factor, that can be used for Rping is race. Diffrent races have diffrent traits and diffrent personalities. Nameks are famed for their wisdom and strentgh, while Saiyans are known for their awesome power and determination. While your character might be quiet diffrent from the people of his kin for some reason or the other, he still might sometimes do what is usual for his race. For example, in the show Goku is a good guy, but still accepted when Vegeta offered (well ok, demanded) to fight him, beacuse he could not resist a thrill of a fight. Something which is usual for Saiyans. Oh and dont forget that while a character belongs to a certain race, he might be diffrent if he grew up among diffrent people.

Chapter 6: Experience

Experience is the most important factor of all and is quiet useful when forming a personality. If you have barely started Rping on Chubbs, you dont have to determine your characters personality immediatly or to stick to it. Through time, your character might change as he will make friends and enemies alike, join alliances, visit places and so on. A person also might be effected by certain events for example if he falls in love or losses a friend. Dont always play on the same tune. Let your character grow and evolve, like real people do.

Epilogue

Dont worry, my epilogue will be short, preety much like the last chapter. RP your character as you want him too. This guide is only ment to help raise the quality of your RPs and develop a personality for your character. Also, invest some time in the developing of your character, otherwise you immediatly wont like him. Belive me, after a while you will grow fond of him and really get to know your character.

?	Motor development in early and late childhood increases more slowly than in the period immediately after birth.
?	Many studies have shown that motor coordination increases considerably during the adolescent period.
?	The appearance of awkwardness in adolescence often seems to be the result of adolescents? lack of assurance toward themselves and their abilities.
?	The development of an individual?s motor abilities generally increases until about early to middle twenties.
?	There is a slight decline until the age of 50, and more of a decline to age 65.
?	Not all older adults experience such a decline.
?	Older adults in good physical health can perform various tasks just about as well as younger persons can.
?	They lack their speed, not their ability to complete a task.
?	Psychologists performed an experiment with monkeys to find out if organisms must be able to see their arms and hands before they can reach for something.
?	One group had a shield before their eyes, and could not see their arms and hands. The other group had a shield over their eyes but could see their arms and hands.
?	Each monkey was trained to reach for a string with candy close enough to eat.
?	Being unable to see their arms and hands from birth did affect the experimental group of monkeys.
?	They seemed to reach for the string as if they were blind. And once they found it, their hands fumbled with it rather than grasping it firmly.
?	Human beings who were born blind and later gained their sight have shown similar behavior in leatrning to reach for objects.
?	Psychologists raised chimpanzees in their homes and tried to raise them like human children, and tried to teach them to speak.
?	Animals don?t have the proper vocal structure to make the sounds of human speech.
?	A female chimp, Washoe, was taught sign language and by the end was anle to use 160 signs.

Some explanations for how children learn language

?	Reward plays a role in development of language.
?	Children learn other ways to express what they need before language development.
?	Language development is not just repeating words and sounds because we have heard them before.
?	Studies show that parents reward the pronunciation rather than the grammatical structure.
?	Some psychologists believe that we are born with the ability to develop the rules for language, while others believe that all of it is learned through the environment.
?	Infants make similar sounds, even if they are in different countries, but even deaf children make those same sounds. Thus questioning the theory that learning comes from the environment around them.
?	Psychologists disagree as to whether language is mostly learned or biologically determined.

Emotional Development :

?	Refers to the individual?s awareness and expression of an affective (emotional) experience.
What emotions are present at birth?

?	No specific emotions can be determined n the newborn infant, only a general state of excitement.
?	Even one-day-old babies may be able to tell the difference between a real cry of another baby and a computer cry.
?	Psychologists know that children often fear strangers at about eight months of age.

How does emotional behavior change with age?

?	When young children become angry, they usually show open aggressive or hostile behavior. They learn this is not socially acceptable as they get older.
?	In middle ages, individuals become less aggressive and hostile.
?	In later life emotions become more related to ourselves and individuals and less involved with the social world around us.
?	Society believes that the elderly have fulfilled their socital obligations. It encourages them to rest and relax, yet on the other hand, it is forcing the elderly into a life of uselessness.

Fear as a common emotion

?	Everyone experiences love, anxiety, worry, anger, or jealousy.
?	Another common emotion is fear.
?	As children grow older, they begin to develop fears involving social situations.

?	Intellectual development is the development of an individual?s mental ability.
?	Thought of as the increase and decrease of the traits and abilities that makes up individuals intelligence.
?	Jean Piaget provided another way of studying the development of intelligence, reasoning, and thinking.
?	He became interested in the reasons children gave for responding as they did.
?	Piaget began conducting studies of children?s intellectual development using this approach.

?	During the sensory-motor period, children use their senses and various muscular movements to interact with the environment.
?	By making things happen, children develop an appreciation of cause and effect.
?	Children at this stage do not realize that a toy squeaks because of something inside of it.

?	Even though people in the formal-operational period are no longer self-centered, they re still centered with their own problems.
?	They can experiment with cause and effect until they discover the cause of events.
?	Piaget made great strides in promoting research in the area of how a child thinks.
?	Formal operations are found in only about 30 to 40 percent of adolescents and adults in the United States. Formal operations may not appear in some societies.

?	Some people think we go through moral development at the same time as motor, emotional, social and intellectual growth.
?	Moral development means an individual develops the knowledge between right and wrong.
?	Lawrence Kohlberg believes there are six stages of moral development, each more complex than the one before it.
?	These stages are the same for everyone.
?	Moral development may stop at any stage though.
?	Stage 6 ? People decide on the basis of their own principles of justice.
?	Stages 5 and 6 people have more developed their own standards for morality than at previous stages.
?	Most individuals are physically ready to walk between 9 and 15 months of age.
?	They progress through crawling, creeping, pulling-up, and standing alone stage before walking.
?	Most babies are walking within one month of standing alone.
Motor development in childhood, adolescence, and old age

Hand-eye coordination

?	Stage 2 ? 3 weeks to 5 months ? crying variations in tone and length.
?	Stage 3 ? 5 months to 1 year ? babbling sounds that are similar to vowels.
?	Stage 4 ? 1 year and up ? formal parts of language use are developed.

Intellectual Development :

Sensory-motor period (birth to about two years)

?	During the sensory-motor period, children use their senses and various muscular movements to interact with the environment.
?	By making things happen, children develop an appreciation of cause and effect.
?	Children at this stage do not realize that a toy squeaks because of something inside of it.

Preoperational period (about two to seven years)

?	During this period children become more than just ?sensory-motor? organisms.
?	They learn to use symbols and language.
?	During this period the child also tends to attribute human characteristics to objects.

Measuring moral development

?	One way to measure moral development is to present individuals with moral dilemmas.
?	With moral dilemmas, an individual must decide what the right thing to do is.

Six stages of moral development

?	Stage 1 ? Children base their answers on what won?t give them a punishment.
?	Stage 2 ? Children make moral decisions on to what behavior will benefit them, bring them rewards, or cause someone to return a favor.
?	Stage 3 ? People make decisions based on what will please other people and to avoid disapproval.
?	Stage 4 ? Makes moral decisions with a respect for authority and ones duty as a citizen. Judgments are determined by what the society says is right and wrong.
?	Stage 5 ? People make moral decisions, based on the welfare of the community and the rights of others.
?	Stage 6 ? People decide on the basis of their own principles of justice.
?	Stages 5 and 6 people have more developed their own standards for morality than at previous stages.
?	Stage 5 recognizes that different societies or groups have different viewpoints of what is right or wrong.
?	Stage 6 shows that there are universal points of view on which all societies should agree.

Criticisms of Kohlberg?s theory

?	Not all psychologists agree with Kohlberg.
?	Those who disagree point that moral development may not occur automatically in stages.
?	Depends on the home environment within which the child is raised.
?	Some question as to if moral reasoning is the same as moral behavior
?	Individuals will say they will do a certain thing in a moral dilemma but when faced with it will do something else.
