Seemingly endless roar of the crowds were present as they had been during the last match, both Team Cockfight and Xtreme making their way into the massive playing space which would be serving the game.

"In this corner," Shouted an announcer. "The excellent, the extraordinary, the Team Xtreme!" Another round of shouting should have left the patrons of this sport deft.
"And in this corner... the breathtaking, daunting styles of Team Cockfight!" Yelling from his corner of the field, another ref took the liberty of announcing the opposing team aloud which received a thunderous explosion from the masses.

"Ready... Break!"

Blasting himself forth, Tottepo took the challenge upon himself of capturing the quickest of the two sisters; amping himself through the air upon the small object. Evidently he hadn't been alone in this chase... the speed demon, Rad, had been on the case thanks to his incomparable measures of velocity.

There was little time that the space about the Bol-Titan was kept open as Tapion and 18 pressured the massive sphere into the placement of their desire. Slamming himself headlong into the upper portions of the round object, Dr. Gero was now the force which the two Xtreme members had to deal with all the while fending off attacks forced upon by the warrior Zarbon.

Sheltered by the soft glow of the light blue shielding hovering between two horizontal spires within the curving bowl; two teams followed a pathway guided by refferies to a placement directly below the large sphere. Signaling above there was a shimmer before a ripple tore an opening in the undermost portion of the globe allowing enterance for the players whom rose to occupy their battlefield. Taking their sides at the respective places of the sphere, the two teams waited as a small vibrant yellow colored orb and a larger silver orb rotated about each other in the middle.

"Ready," Shouted the voice of the watching offical. "Break!"

The pair of small spheres bursted from their position and now darted away from the center, Bol-Katchin making it's way towards the Shadow Assassins as it's sister barreled downward to riccashay off the bottom of the massive field barrier.

Buzzing wickedly around the small booth, thousands yell out bets and hand over cash in hopes to sacure a healthy little sum of money come time for the winners to be identified. Hopefully their bets won't turn foal before the end of the games.

Welcome to the betting booth! Bets are placed on the both players and teams to widen a horizon of interest between the crowd and participating members of the game. Rules are simple and yet absolutely must be adhered to.

1. Any members betting on their own team or themselves is strictly forbidden, this is to ensure that no one 'throws in the towl' just to gain some extra cash.

2. All bets will follow a certain template to how they are presented as shown below

Team/Player -
Betting Amount -
Additional betting information -

Team/Player: The name of the team or player that you will be betting on, only one entry may be filled in this place at a time.

Betting Amount: Total amount of zeni being used to bet with. The betting party cannot exceed the total amount of zeni they current have on them.

Additional betting information: Manditory to be specific if you are betting on a certain player, for team betting all that is needed is either 'win' or 'lose' followed by the round that it will occure in. Such things that would be considered additional betting information for a player would be along the lines of scoring first 3 goals, injurying an opposing contestant, etc. which will be listed below in the Odds Spreadsheet.

Note: Additional betting information for individual players change each round based on a random number generator.

3. The total of zeni per bet is set to a 1,000 maximum and is not to exceed beyond that.

4. Odds are set up so that there is an equal fairness throughout the system constructed. Here's an example of how things are set up, there are two seperate numbers indicated in the odds written like this "x to x" where the x's are a given number. The first x indicates your winnings if the bet is in your favor, the second is how much will be placed on bet.

Against a black sky and barren background stood a dark giant luminating over the small serene village at the base of its monstrous feet, cowering in the wake of its pure size and shadowed crevices concealing pathways to glory and disaster. Within the distance the rush of light seeped over miles of space to glance off brown stone, polished marble, and sparkling onyx as the massive stadium glazed over in the gentle immortality that forever bound its walls together. An exalting blast sounded from high above... in the grand stands, positioned on the tallest point in the arena was an enormous horn decorated in a rich history of Saiya-jin kind depicted in engravings upon its side. From inside the large archways around the outside of the coliseum a vibrant color of light shown to diminish the umbra from the darkest chasms, lighting up the streets down below throughout the small town.

All throughout the burg rang the low blows echoing forth from that single horn as the empty homes and houses resided in nothing more then mere silence. There was a life that breathed a heavily misted fog into the desolated ghost town; coming from the large city square there was a certain atmosphere beginning to lift that caused a warm glow to fill where the shadows fought for refugee.

Torches became lit all at once, precisely at the same timing as men, women and children all stood in a large circle within the city square. In the center of their perimeter stood twelve people in unique to the rest; dressed in an attire specific to their gender, they appeared to be dancers... all standing with the back of their wrists pressed against the other out in front as they were ranked together in a box formation, each with an approximant five foot space between one another.

Slowly the horn blasts silenced... still standing in position, the danseurs and danseuses eased themselves forward only to rotate their abdomens about in a complete circle in sync with one another. From a far side of the circle came the calling rhythm of a stringed instrument which received the dancer's attention in the form of swaying towards the direction of the music, installing the idea that they moved against a sea filled with waves yet maintaining an elegant appeal. Directly opposite from where the first began to play came the call of a wind instrument, the stringed one silencing as the troupe began moving towards the call of the second. A now awestricken crowd looked on as the first began playing again; speeding up with exact speed, the performers moved swifter with a sense of danger rotating about them.

Another instrument joined from behind, accelerating the group even further till another from the front sent them into a fury of movement enough to subdue the mind into a dream. Darting forward in their dance, they all maintained ranks before strifing to their left, then right, falling back before breaking into an in-place spin. Halting suddenly as the palms of their left hands planted themselves firmly down in front of them as their legs kicked out into a beyond shoulder length stance, pushing up from the ground suddenly back onto their feet. Moving as a single unit, the group's right arms shot into the side with the left hands holding tight to their wrists as ki blasts dressed in blue aura bolted into the sky only to erupt in a flurry of small sparkling pieces which filtered down into a cheering crowd.

Lights from all around fired themselves awake as if that single act had been the ignition for them, revealing the millions of carts and their vendors... tables filled with foods of all kind... people of all races, faces, and places all celebrating as a large sun lifted into the sky above. The very first ceremony had begun for the game's tournament which would be getting underway soon enough, but for now there would be celebration as the festival flickered with an undying flame. Music played throughout the town while the public from all planets gathered to enjoy themselves for once in a long while.

(Celebrating both vigor and raw strength of the competitors, the Saiya-jin people have prepaired a large feast and an exceptional aray of interesting booths from other planets to browse through. Eat, drink, and enjoy the oncoming new year as well as the soon-to-be tournament.)

Basically the game of Breakball is taking two spheres of different properties and changing their course to score against targets all the while avoiding the opposing team from making their own goals. There are several key technologies behind the rough and tumble game that seem to go unnoticed beneath the blare of roaring crowds and blood sprays which, if examined, could drastically change the way this game is viewed.

The Bol-Strijd
Originally the technology behind creating these massive shields were based on the want to put up a heavier defense upon large cruisers owned by both Saiya-jin and Changling forces. After the might of the army had been destroyed during the climactic ending upon Earth, shipyards slowly filled with these metallic beasts. What couldn't be scrapped as easily as the rest of the ship was the parts for the barrier generators known as a "flux compassitor". Built with the density to withstand force from both space and other violent conflicts, disarming nevertheless taking apart the machine seemed an impossible job.

Though with the start of what seems to be an ever growing game known as "Breakball", there was suddenly a desperate need to cut down on the causalities when certain elements of the game placed themselves on the viewing public. Now, thanks to donations, players are kept in harm's way while the audience isn't.

While in use for the large space vehicles originally built upon, the problem of having the field only extend to the half of the ship that it was built upon arose. Because of this, researchers looked to a new type of force known as "synthetic gravity" which allowed the large barrier inside to pull objects made of metal upon whim of it's generators towards the center. With this new technology in hand, designers applied it to the center most portions of crafts so that the ship may be centered at all times as well as absorb shock from incoming assaults with more ease.

Active as a playing field, the barrier is able to draw in on this synthetic gravity to an ever changing certain degree. This enables the spheres in play to keep movement while the players keep free of the effects brought on by the monstrous shield. Given the name "Bol-Strijd" by the Saiya-jin peoples which, in their tongue, translates out to mean 'battle sphere'; a name rightfully given.

The Bol-Kleine
Empathizing the same programming associated with Stasis Field Grenades, what knowledge has been taken from there and fused together with the nano-technology famously known within Capsule Corp.'s most recent line of scouters to create this ingenious little item. Though controlled remotely due to their small pea-like appearance, the defense shielding put up by these miniature generators can range anywhere between the size 6-10 feet-in-diameter sphere.

As part of the package that came along with using L.E.N.S technology, the barriers react violently with any sort of conflict that seem to come in contact with it till a single key part had been singled down in the electrical makeup of the barriers. Every ion that extends from the pea looks for contact with another which makes the force field possible, but now when met with something hard where atoms refuse to move; the ions began speeding up to attempt to break through it. With this, a crimson color changes the normally light blue colored ions for a period of time before they begin settling down again.
Thanks are to Arlia-sei technology for their recent breakthrough in splitting air resistance, a slick coating has been doused upon the metal's surface to enable lightening fast acceleration ten times its normal pace. Though sonic booms from the small orb are almost regular there has been fable that a force much greater has been released from bypassing the speed of light for a second under perfect conditions.
Bulkier in size and broader in shape then its Katchin counterpart, this orb is one of the more sought after spheres while in play. A decrease in speed from the larger diameter has brought the sphere to a little less than forty miles per hour yet that doesn't divert from the extreme amount of force needed to alter its course. If brought up to speed, it has been known to plow through two or three competitors before coming to a reasonable alacrity.

The Breakball Stadium
Standing twenty stories tall in a basking glory of both mended metal and stone, these beautiful pieces of masterful architecture are definitely a sight to behold. A curving hallway runs around each floor that feeds a stairway that leads either into the seating within the bowl-shaped arena or up and down into the different levels. Within the center of the massive stadium the ground has been removed for even more crowd occupants to seat themselves, another fifteen levels have been added with this simple notion of expansion down below; yet flat bottom flooring has been saved.

As custom, many vendors have set themselves up in the endless halls and floors of the arena to provide their many services and products up for the public to purchase. Several days before the tournament is scheduled to start the beast of iron stone is decorated from top to bottom in the various colors and combinations to show unity amongst the many visiting planets, which tend to fill the arena seating to the brim.

Currently the only one in existence is known as the Eos, built permanently upon the Eastern side of the planet away from the troublesome bickering of militant forces. About the large coliseum a small city is sprawled out consisting of shops and hotels only slightly enough to host the spectators during their stay, this is also where the pre-tournament celebrations will take place that lead eventually to the ceremonies inside the arena itself.

Angles at Work
As one may have guessed, this game isn't your normal run-of-the-mill sporting events that just anyone can pick up off the bat. While being physically challenging, a player must also keep in mind the physics being push and pulled in order to get those scoring shots into play. Many have wondered how it is to control a speeding bullet or a small dense comet yet explanations are few to none in comparison to the few ways of adjusting their speed to your own desire. Mainly it's about changing the way the momentum flows through the object, using freely moving limbs to swing about or hit the sphere in the main direction you wish it to move in; the only draw back being the constant recoil experienced through the body when struck.

Most of the time the barrier generated about the playing field will reflect the sphere away on contact, other times static plays a roll in guiding the orbs along. Few times speed will meet friction in an interesting creation of a bond between one another, sending the metallic sphere along a course before being ripped away from the wall once a sonic boom is reached to send it catapulting back into play.

Unfortunately this sport takes a lot out of the contestants no matter what their strengths as keeping levitation, movements, and senses at a constant alert while avoiding attacks by the other team drains a body quickly. Thanks to a micro device placed upon members of each team behind their neck connected directly with their vital conditions, the first sign of unconsciousness in the host will result in a spontaneous burst of energy throughout their body; allowing them to pass through the barrier without harm to themselves to land upon the flat of the ground below.

Known as 'Breakball', the game is a mixture of both style and strength that pits warriors against each other in a sport designed for the skilled. These games are held in stadiums designed to hold near a half million spectators as matches will sometimes turn out whole planets to view even if the arena has a lack seating. Within the battle sphere, or "Bol-Strijd" in Saiya-jin tongue, two teams or four compete against one another as either side attempts to collide small metal objects into the opposing team's goals.

The small spheres that serve as goals are known as "Bol-Kleines" which are often referred to by game enthusiasts as "BKs" for a smaller term.

Sizes of the BKs break down into three categories that define the points scored upon contact of one, they are as follows...

Largest - 1 Point(s)
Medium - 3 Point(s)
Smallest - 5 Point(s)

In the field of battle there are many advantages to be taken hold of as the tournament itself isn't based alone upon skill of strength, determination, and intelligence.

The metallics used in the tournament provides a mass amount of variation in strategy, though both score equally there is alterations that can be exploit in benefit for either team. Made of both the metals Katchin and Titanium, the two spheres hold specific differences about them that make this game all the more interesting as well as deadly.
The Bol-Strijd, in a simple appellation, is a massive globe of energy generated from two flux compasitors positioned at either end of the large stadium bowl to provide a constant flow to keep participants and audience separated from each other. Inside, the battle sphere is divided typically into two separate parts indicated by a crimson line drawn upon the ground below which the Bol-Strijd hovers over. One side belongs to the home team while the opposite to the visiting team. Before the game begins, members must be within their respective sides; only then will the playing orbs be released and the game initiated by the word "Break" coming from one of the game's administration viewing the tournament.

Nanotechnology has provided the ability to produce small levitating orbs that serve as goals within the game. Consisting of three main sizes, the Bol-Kleines are aligned in a triangle shape behind the goalkeeper. There has also been a slight alteration to the electrical makeup of the force fields as now contact with any sort of metal will excite ions within the barriers, altering their color from a light blue to a deep crimson indicating a scored goal.

After each scored goal the game will halted as the Bol-Strijd will pull all metallic objects into its center to signify the end of the round. When this occurs, both teams return to their specific sides till the beginning of the next round begins.
Teams should begin finding their players as the tournament sign ups begin on the 31st of December and will last two weeks before the initial ceremonies to start the games begin.
Yeah, and since the chances of all four of us participating are slim to none, anyone want to recruit me? >.>

An idea, a sport for Chubbs.

Basic idea is a mix between FFX's Blitzball and the game based on a popular book of JK Rowling's, Quidditch.

I'm really into starting this off, even if it would be something like a 'quest' I'd still want to follow through with it. Betting could be done through bookies for regular members, zeni earned by the alliances for participating is sent to a pool which can later be spent by members for items and such. S'only if would kick off bigger then a simple quest done by one.

Speed, strength, and defense would all participate to how well you react in the game. Basically it'd be just like sparring as you'd get the crap beat out of you by either the other team or the balls in play themselves.

There is more I could go on about, but as always I want to see other's views on this as well. Hope to get feedback from *everyone* who might be interested.
