So I'm going to scene for you all. The reason I'm not roleplaying this is because I want you guys to completely have control here.

The final four is alone, in the volcano, right after the helicopter crashes. Kaden is not with you. Kai Demolic will confront you and you'll have to fight him, and any surviving goons he has. He has a layer of ki protecting his body at all times, along with a high level of strength and speed. However, all of this is artificial and will wear out as his stress level raises.

You'll have three roleplays each to fight him. Feel free to spread them out, and if you want to cut away from the fight, such as talk of the past game or the crash prior to this, feel free. You'll have one week.

Meanwhile, Kaden and Wizard will crash with Jackson, Rosemary, Trisha and Champ and will be in charge of finding an escape route for everybody with the helicopter destroyed. Since you guys arn't official members of the game anymore, you don't HAVE to roleplay, but I encourage it as you'll be a part of the finale in some way.

Alright, that's all. Expect me to get in at least one post for Kai Demolic (Development only, no story progression) and possibly one for the other three surviving NPCs.

Good luck.

Ashe

They all stood, side by side, in front of the entrance to the underground tunnel. There was a single stone door that waited to be opened, to grant the five players access. They were missing a sixth, but they had no time to wait.

Kaden stood in the middle of the four beauties. Piper and Sophia to one side, Sage and Ashe to the other. He wasn't sure how he had gotten to the 'leader' position, but somehow, Kaden found himself being the one to nod to the doorkeeper to open it.

"Everybody stay together," he said aloud, "Move as a group."

The door began to slowly open. The five all stepped in, side-by-side. Sage and Ashe were holding hands. Piper and Sophia were...not.

They were in a tiny room, but unlike the other rooms of the tiny, it was completely artificial and made of a kind of foreign metal. In front of them were five seats, all with a helmet on them. In front of that was a television screen. It clicked on immediately at the same time the door behind them closed.

"Hello, contestants," Kai Demolic said into the camera. "This is a pre-taped recording, so please don't bother wasting time trying to find me. You have one more task before you reach me and bring this story to a close. Sit down...and you will understand me."

Everyone looked around, but slow began to sit even as they discussed aloud.

Kai continued. "My real name is Gregory Rogers...a mundane, boring name I was given by parents who couldn't grasp the miracle they had brought into the world. As I realized by the time I was a teenager, my gift of overbearing intelligence had granted me something nobody else had...a limitless future. I could do anything I wanted and get away with it. Anything. At first I was like you all...concerned with the greater good. I wanted to make the world a better place. But as I grew up, I saw how the world really was...there is no good or evil. There are strong and weak...smart and dumb. No matter if I chose to be a saint or a criminal, the result is the same...money, fame."

The five people were all sitting in the chairs by now, helmets in their hands, just listening to the speech. Sometimes someone interject with a sarcastic remark.

"What I'm going to do now, is show you all what you are capable of. You are all just kids...it's easy to throw words around like good, evil, justice and truth. But it's a whole different matter when you are faced with the cruel reality of your situation. You will put your headset on...and you will be faced with what you can become. All it takes, children...is one bad day."

The helmets activated at once. The chairs locked the players in.
They were alone, battling their own demons.

"This isn't real," Oliver Nash said.

"How perceptive of you," Rosemary responded.

The two were in a white room with four walls and no doors. It wasn't very big, probably as big as an average dojo mat during arena battles. Just enough room for a clean bout, but not much else. There was no furniture and no windows, which meant that every tiny little speck of dust and blood would be obvious.

The Wizard had just watched her end the life of Ares and toss away Juno like he was trash. He had watched, helplessly as he was held down by the weight of the psychic injuries he had sustained. But in here, in this astral world, he was perfectly healthy and ready to move.

"Why am I here?" He asked, noting the lack of companions. "No Jackson...no Champ."

"Jackson is only with you because he desires answers about his past. His friendships with Kai. With himself. With me. But you are here for a different reason."

Nash nodded. "I want that Emblem."

"Exactly," Rose said, "So you, too, can get some answers."

The Wizard didn't like Rosemary much. He had extreme respect (and a little fear) for her telepathic abilities, but she was too powerful for her own good. She could look into people's minds and pick out what information she wanted, but that wasn't a substitute for truly getting to know somebody.

"I don't know where you stand," Wizard said, "And I guess that's what you want people to wonder about. Do you have loyalty to Kai, or are you using him like he probably thinks he's using you? I always like to think about shit like that, you know? I like to figure out who the good guy and the bad guy is...but right now all I want know is that you've got that Raptor Emblem. You can give it to me, and help me take down Kai Demolic, or I can take it from you."
Rose smirked.

Kaden

It was just like in the movies, after the good guys beat the big bad monster, the mastermind comes out and acts all cocky, like everything was going according to plan. Piper, Sophia and Kaden all looked in unison to find a tall blonde woman at the top of the stairs, topped with sunglasses and holding a cellular device.

"Patricia Demolic," Piper said aloud.

Even though this seemed like the perfect time to have a stare-off showdown, Trisha came down while hardly even paying attention to the trio. "Yea?" She was saying aloud, "Oh, that's so great, sweety. Congratulations. Of course I'll be there for the party. Tell your mommy to make a great big cake with the number ten on it." She continued talking as she walked up to the three warriors, then gave them a dirty look. "Listen, hun, I got to go. I have some business to take care of. Call me back in twenty minutes."

She shut the phone in one hand and put the device in her jacket pocket. She stood in black jeans and a white tank top with a dark coat covering most of her top half. The woman had told her husband that she wanted no part in this silly show, but she had to admit the camera time was kinda fun to her. It was a good chance to get a little exposure, and show there was more to her then just being the wife of the world's smartest man.

Once upon a time, she had met the man in a dojo that she had been training in. They had gone to war together, where she was declared a national hero. But there was always that dark side to her. When she was kicked out of both of martial arts and the military for unnecessary violence and even murder, she had no choice but to look to a life of crime. Kai had saved her from that.

She had spent her whole life walking from group to group, never finding acceptance because of exceptional ability to kill. But Kai had found it. He said he loved her...whether or not that was true was a mystery. He was a master manipulator. Trisha liked to believe that he was telling the truth, but there was always something that told her...maybe she was just a tool too. Maybe she was just being used.

"Alright," she said, pulling out a glowing dagger in one hand, and cradling a purple pistol in the other. "Let's get this over with. I've got better shit to do then deal with the likes of you."

"You don't talk much, do you?"

Rosemary was silent, as expected. The entire jeep ride to the destination, which turned out to be an abandoned military base, was filled with Ares talking to the soldiers in the backseat. She quietly stewed as Ares obviously enjoyed his new position in the game as an ally of Kai Demolic.

"Didn't think so," he continued. The four people got out of the car, and started walking towards the main room. The two guards behind Rose and Juno gave them distance.

Rosemary glared back and then forward again. "I don't speak to traitors," she said. "I'm only allowing you to accompany because that's what Kai wants."

"That what you think I am?" Ares asked, clearly not caring. "A traitor?"

"I don't know what you are yet," Rose said honestly, "And neither do you. Not yet."

Ares stopped her from opening the door by putting his arm in front of it. "Look, sister," he said, clearly annoyed. "You don't know me, and I don't claim to know you. But I do know that I had no loyalty to those people. I was with them because I was being hunted for my life. But I'm a man who likes to win, and I want to be on the winning side. You want to call me a traitor? Fine, I'll deal with it. But let me ask you something. If you care so much, why are you going along with this? Why not help them?"

Rosemary let out a smirk at the man's speech. "Just because I'm a friend of Kai's," she said, "Doesn't mean I'm on his side. I am one of the Four Prophets of the planet Kijara, and I can see deep down what is inside every person's soul. I know what Kai is made of. I know what your friends are made of. I help who deserves it, no matter what alliegiance they hold."

"Yea?" Ares said, interesting. "What am I made of, then? What do you see in me?"

The woman forced the door open, pushing past the man's hand that blocked her path. "I see, Ares," she began, "That you're only being a traitor because you think you're the bad guy. You thrive off of a being hated, and you love being controversial and having people second guess your loyalty. But you know what I think?"

"What?" He said, a little annoyed by her accuracy.

"I think deep down, somewhere in in that cold, black saiyan heart, you're a good person, and that terrifies you."

She walked into the building.

Miles behind the military complex was a jeep. Jackson was driving it, with Wizard next to him making small talk. The usually ladies man was being silent, after losing a coin flip for the right to travel with Piper and Sophia. It wasn't that he didn't like Wizard or Jackson (the opposite, actually, as he held respect for Oliver Nash, something he didn't hold for many men), but rather it was just he really hated that Sophia was somewhere else.

"We're coming up on it," Jackson warned them. "Look, fighting Rosemary head on is a back idea. We're gonna need to come up with a plan to sneak in. She's not that good at hand-to-hand combat, so getting up close and personal is how we get that Emblem."

"Sounds easy enough," Wizard commented.

"Yea, well," Jackson said, feeling Champ's breath behind him as the dog rested by Juno, "The trick is actually getting close. Nobody uses ki like she does. She has like...a relationship with energy that I can't even explain. If you've ever seen her in action, you'd know...there's something different in the way she uses ki. It's like another plain of existence to her. It's a life force."

"I've seen it," Juno spoke up behind them. "I can explain it. It's like a beautiful dance," he said, "Her words trap you, her beauty stuns you...and her movements can kill you."
Jackson nodded, impressed by the poetic description. "Yea," he responded, "What he said."

(This is only the opening to the round)

Even though he was slowly cooking alive inside this burning building, Oliver Nash knew he wasn't going to die. It had gotten to the point that after so many near-death experiences, he just knew there was no way his life would end already, just laying there, slowly dying of breathing in harmful fumes. So he was confident, or however much you could be in that situation, that he would be okay.

Turns out, he was right. He recognized the feel of the slithery tongue of Champ. Nash's ribs hurt him most of all, but he was able to move just slightly at the urging of the dog. It was funny how innocent the animal looked despite the wreckage around him. Even so, Nash climbed to his feet to find the hulking white giant known as Jackson Pride.

"Hey," Jackson said.

"Hi," Nash returned.

After a few moments, smiled cracked. Laughs escaped. Oliver limped his way past Champ, who followed dutifully, towards his new comrade. They walked towards the door of the building, stopping only to see a weapon laying on the ground.

"That cannon," Wizard responded, "It took out one of the pink-haired girls."

"It just teleported her outta the game," Jackson explained. "But they're only good once, so...this one is useless."

Nash nodded, thinking in his head exactly what this meant. "How do they got?"

"Enough."

-----------------------

He was as good as dead. Useless. Again. But he kept getting up.

"Stay the fuck down!" Zena shouted as she lept upwards off of a pile of burnt wood, smashing one of her super saiyan fists down upon Balrog's forehead, sending him sliding on the sand, head colliding with a nearby mailbox and forcing it to topple. "That's right, you arrogant bastard!"

It was just like that night. ECB, Earth Championship Boxing. Main Event. Balrog had lost the title, but he was the most loved man in the league because of how he fought. He wasn't smart enough to know that forcing himself through that much pain would end his career, nor would that information have stopped him from trying so hard. He lost the match, but walked away happy with himself.

Balrog stood up again. He was standing at a limp, putting his pressure on one leg, holding himself up by keeping a hand on his knee. Zena, still glowing angelically with the sheer power of a super saiyan, watched in shock as he got up again.

"I was the champ," he told her, "I was champion of this planet. But I fought so hard, so long without even thinking of my body...that I was paralyzed for the rest of my life. Do you know what that's like, saiyan princess? Do you know what it's like to put your entire body into one single fight and lose, then find out...it was your last. Ever."

Zena let him speak, but his words obviously didn't cure her rage. Balrog could see the soldiers listening around him, as well as his own opponents, all gathered around. Kaden, Piper, Juno and Sophia were all huddled together. Sage and Ashe were near them, laying back and clearly injured. Wizard and Jackson were just walking back to the scene to watch.

"I was in a wheelchair," Balrog said, "For two years." He grinded his teeth, squeezing his own palm as he balled his hands into fists. "My wife left me. My daughter...she stuck by me as long as she could, but she, too...had a life to lead. I was a has-been. Once a warrior of the ring, now a washed-up boxer who had his day. Then he showed up."

"Kai Demolic," Zena uttered the name like it was poisonous, spatting it out quickly and letting it melt away in the hot arid temperature.

Balrog nodded. "He had access to an experimental drug. It gave me the ability to walk again, and soon...I could be fighting again. It had no side effects, and I was good as new. I could have went back to boxing, got my family back. My life in order. But instead I followed him. He put me to use...he gave me purpose in a life that had forgotten me."

"Now you're going to die for him," someone said. All eyes turned to the right. Jackson was standing next to a kneeling Wizard, who was resting on one knee. "When you took that drug, Balrog, and you agreed to be his bodyguard...you signed your life away. And now you have to pay up."

"You can beat me down all you want," Balrog started to raise his voice, not speaking to anyone in particular. "You can all beat me down, you can torture me, you can break every bone in my body! But I will not stop fighting! I will not sit down for you!"

Zena usually would have had something witty to say, but in all honesty, her saiyan blood was boiling. Listening to Balrog talk had gotten her eager to finish him. She set her feet, prepared to launch and then lept off.

"Do it!" Balrog was shouting. "Finish me! But let it be known to the world that Balrog Tast never, ever laid down for anybody!"

The small fist of the princess smashed into his belly, but it didn't stop, it went into his body, past the organs that formed his stomach, and out the other side, breaking pieces of his spine. Balrog's eyes were bulged and blood was spurting from his mouth, but it did appear he was smirking. Zena withdraw her fist and pushed the man back, where he collapsed.

She turned, feeling absolutely no remorse for the man who had abused his sister. She smiled as she saw the blue-haired girl watching, half-happy for her sister's win, and half-scared for the murder she had witnessed.

"Aaaaagh!" Zena shouted as she stumbled forward in mid-walk. Something had stabbed into her neck, causing electricity to shoot from around her head. She slid into the sand, still conscience but her super saiyan form now gone.

"Zena!" Sage said, panicked. Immediately she got up, run-limping towards the girl. None of the soldiers stopped her.

Shadows became evident on the ground. The nine warriors all looked up to what used to be the Olde Town Hotel, now a pile of burnt wood. Five figures stood on the pile, almost all recognizable immediately.

There was Ares to the far left, and the scarf-draped woman known as Rosemary to the far right. Between them was a tall lanky man, Sebastian, and the buxom blonde Trisha. In the very center...

"Kai Demolic," Jackson said aloud.

The time was dawn.

The location was Olde Town, a western ghost town in the sandtrap. There, Balrog had made it his base of operations. He was a buffoon, but he did do as he was told which made him very valuable to Kai. In the Olde Town Hotel, which was pretty trashed after the fighting in it, was Kaden and Piper, tied up and heavily guarded.

To the north was the group consisting of Zena, Ares, Juno and Sophia, leaving the cave system and wondering why all of a sudden, the soldiers chasing them had retreated.

To the south as Ashe and Sage, now alone after Rose abandoned them, and losing Kazuya and Wizard, assuming them dead.

To the east was Rose, who was lost in the sandtrap, heading towards the latest noise, which had been gunfire.

And to the southwest was Wizard, Jackson Pride and the dog known as Champ. Jackson had lost a fair fight to Wizard, and his life was spared. He had seen first hand the horrors that Kai had subjected his people to, and was planning on going with Oliver Nash to ensure he got the answers he wanted. Jackson had some questions of his own.

All of them were heading to the same location, unwittingly. Kai Demolic smirked from his monitor room as he flipped between cameras, watching all the groups. He smirked and looked back to find none of his lieutenants behind him. He was alone.

Kai Demolic wasn't a bad man. Not really. He donated to charity, took care of his parents, and volunteered his time to the less fortunate. But there was always that dark side to the man. He was, after all, the smartest man in the world. As people called him that, he began to believe it. He started to really think he could get away with anything.

And hey, nothing was proving him wrong so far.

"Jackson is with Nash," someone said behind him. He nodded, signalling he knew. "What are you going to do about it?"

"Nothing, Sebastian," Kai said. "Jackson is a man of honor. He doesn't believe in what we're trying to accomplish here."

Sebastian had to ask, but he knew the answer. "What happens if Jackson does bring him to us?"

Demolic didn't answer. He had too much history with the man who had saved his life in the Frost War to talk about the horrible things he would have to do to him. Kai hoped it didn't come to that.

"So what now?" The lanky man behind Kai asked.

The map came up on screen again. All of the dots were heading towards the center two dots, which marked Kaden and Piper. Soon, they would all meet.

"Now, my friend," Kai told him, "We watch the show. Balrog is going to have his hands full as soon as the ten fighters, including Jackson, show up on his doorstep. I hope he can handle them."

As soon as Juno's chains were off and he had fallen to the ground, seething with hidden rage, a gun went off. They had no time to react except to run. All around the room, on the fenced balconies above the pit, were soldiers blasting pistols and shotguns filled with ki energy. Enough to kill.

"Let's go!" Sophia had said, pulling Juno out the door.

"Don't touch me!" He shouted, pushing her hand away and running down the stone hall in the opposite direction. Feeling hurt, but deserving it, Sophia followed him. They caught their breaths just in time to hear something entirely different from gunshots.
The two, Zena and Ares, had been outside in the desert when Zena made a break from the wreckage of the jeep, unaware that Ares had followed her. After barely evading barely killed off, both of them had found a very tiny entrance underground, only for it to shot and closed off behind them.

"Who the heck are you?" Juno asked, seemingly annoyed at the entrance of the two.

"Let's recap," Orion said as he peered into the empty houses. "Grow up," Orion grunted again, "If they come, we fight, and we kill them all. I don't care who shows up or gets in my way, I'm getting to that mansion with my hostage, and anyone wants to die along the way, is more then welcome to."
"Yes," he said, "Well, kinda of." He was zooming on the five people in the group that were walking nearby the water treatment plant. "It's a laboratory and a water processing plant.
"Screw-ups?" The feminine voice asked, setting a soft hand on his shoulder.

"Yes," he said, irritated. "Balrog was supposed to hit that spoiled princess, Zena, but he ended taking Dimitri out of the competitions. Then Jackson refuses to take out that Oliver Nash because wants a fair fight. At least I got him to compromise on the headphones kid."
"Why did you want those two out?"
