Tap-eon

or Tape-eon

To pronounce Tapion....

You say Tape-then-eon

Just a useless lesson to point out.

Said so by Cartoon Network. K then?

TAP pr TAPE - Captain Silver - 12-03-2006

Tap-eon.

Weird, I was just talking to Gokua about this on MSN. O.o

TAP pr TAPE - Hellfighter 17 - 12-03-2006

I'll stick with "tap-ee-on."

TAP pr TAPE - Grandpa Gohan - 12-03-2006

Yeah, I always thought it was Tap-eon, although I havent seen the movie in jp, I'd probably say it like that if I had heard it.

Go figure, damn dubbing companies. Although I must say that whoever is dubbing Bleach has done good so far.

While I've always thought of it at Tap-ee-on, Tape-on would sort of make sense given Toriyama's long-standing history of giving people retarded names based on mundane objects (as a really obvious example, take Gohan's classmates Sharpener (blantant) and Erasa (Eraser, less obvious)).

TAP pr TAPE - Metal Koola - 12-03-2006

Tap...

no one likes tape, it's too sticky.

Fuck tape.

I saw Mino in a different light. He was cuter looking then the one I know ...

TAP pr TAPE - The Not Cool Not Tapion - 12-03-2006

I've always pronounced it Tape-ian

TAP pr TAPE - Celipa - 12-03-2006

Tape-eon. It's got a lot to do with japanese pronunctiation and stuff.

Minoshia is:

Mee-no-shee-uh.

TAP pr TAPE - Captain Silver - 12-03-2006

I say Minoshia like.

Mino-Sha.

"Tape-eon" is not the correct pronunciation in japanese.

Tap-ee-on is right.

Yeah, and this is how I've always pronounced it.

TAP pr TAPE - Bra - 12-03-2006

Who cares about Japanese pronunciation?

Last I checked very few of the characters are of Japanese origin IC.

Nothing at all against it, but... it's hardly important. To each their own.

No one said they cared. I was correcting something.

TAP pr TAPE - Aero - 12-03-2006

Tap-e-on is the correct way.

I am guessing that they said Tape-e-on so Americans and children could easily pronounce it?

TAP pr TAPE - Super Buu - 12-03-2006

TAPE EE AHN

TLAPINGSTRONG

Or Tapion.
