training course blues - Toshiro - 02-22-2007 so, I started a html training course this week, already breezed though the first two book's I was given to work thou faster then any other student has apprently. now, I dun mind the test of brain power work, but oh, my, gawd! this book I have infront of me is so fucking boring! it's explenation after explenation of everything I'm gonna end up knowing. dreamweaver is a peice of piss to work with, I know this, but this book, detialing how "a website with three images, refrences the images and blah blah blah!" oh my god! some one please fucking shoot my brains out! >.< training course blues - Grandpa Gohan - 02-22-2007 :O Dreamweaver in combination with Microsoft's VB program works out quite nicely. I had a web design class when I was in 10th greade(in 12th now), and now I'm taking Desktop Publishing. training course blues - Toshiro - 02-22-2007 Yeah, this book is meant to detail about all the crap where you can utalize VBScript, Java, Flash and all that crap in to a website. I honestly dun get why I gotta read thou it all, so far, in the four chapters I've read (painfully, and with the aid of chubbs as side-tracking), it's all been about "how to change font settings, size settings, what HTML stands for, how to change the prefrences for Dreamweaver" blah blah. I'm sat here just staring at either the book, or at the site waiting for something to be posted. I'm that bored. training course blues - Grandpa Gohan - 02-22-2007 XD Skip ahead then, go to the first thing that you don't know or don't know a lot about. I feel your pain however, Why people make books and constantly include that shit... I have no idea why, eventually you're going to become comfortable with the program and set it how you want it anyhow. =/ training course blues - Toshiro - 02-22-2007 the worst thing thou, is this book is for dreamweaver v4. this system packs v8. I've also finally hit the first exercise (may aswell do those I reckon), and I can't skip ahead, I already got nagged at yesterday for finishing the first two books in around five hours (thats with breaks, and yesterday was with me trying to slow down) training course blues - Grandpa Gohan - 02-22-2007 That's BS, can't you read ahead to a point where they could just bump you up a class or something? training course blues - Toshiro - 02-22-2007 It's not in school. This is one of those goverment funded things. boring as hell. I just finished the chapter on lists (absolute crap might I add) and only now hitting chapter 7 on this thing. which is all about abchors and url's, everything I've done before inside dreamweaver. I think I may end up calling it ad ay, and fucking off, I gotta go aroudn to my mates afterwards ot help fix up his computer, which I'd rather do insteado f this bs -.- training course blues - Grandpa Gohan - 02-22-2007 Haha, that boring eh? x_x I hate reading my econ book, I mean, some of its interesting, but overall, so far its boring as fuck. training course blues - Toshiro - 02-22-2007 boring? no, thats not what I'd call it. just because I'd rather be playing tag with a blood thrist lion, with a broken leg, a gun shot wound to in my shoulder, and though the desert, doesn't mean it's boring in the slightest! I just skipped the url shite too, next up... images and image mapping! yay!!!!!! *head blows up* training course blues - Toshiro - 02-22-2007 screw it. I'm booking outta this place. >.> *bad* training course blues - Amadeus - 02-22-2007 There is one book which I think is at least close to Dreamweaver 8. I think it`s called "Learn Dreamweaver MX in 24 hours". Look it up. Its preety good and it may help you. training course blues - Grandpa Gohan - 02-22-2007 Quote:Originally posted by Jackie Chun That's the book we had to skim over for my Web Design class. I agree with Jackie, it's pretty good. *stamp of approval* training course blues - Toshiro - 02-22-2007 Quote:Originally posted by Jackie Chun Screw that. I can do alot of the stuff in dreamweaver that it already needs. training course blues - Amadeus - 02-23-2007 Quote:Originally posted by Gohan Then why are you wasting your time studying Dreamweaver? Skip the basics and move on to more advanced lessons. training course blues - Grandpa Gohan - 02-23-2007 Quote:Originally posted by Gohan That's why Jackie o= training course blues - Toshiro - 02-26-2007 HORRAY!!!! I have a new book to learn from, and this one is massive ^.^ Add on to this, it's also delving in to MySQL, PHP, ASP VBSscript, and a shit load of other stuff I know jack diddlesqwat about!! YAY!!! ^.^ I am actully happy over this, weather or not I actulyl get any work done today, how ever, is a completely diffrent matter. training course blues - Toshiro - 02-27-2007 I here by hate Apache Installation -.-;; training course blues - Grandpa Gohan - 02-27-2007 Bahahaha >=D Apache is a first class bitch, I know first hand >_< training course blues - Toshiro - 03-01-2007 Yay! After finding out my inital Pc was taken, and reinstalling Apache and PHP, I still can't get the fucking site to work! >.< I am gonna kick the shit outta this system, and then I'm gonna do the same thing to the administrator of this company. It's getting me THAT badly! >.< training course blues - Vegeta - 03-01-2007 google for easyphp it does it all and more |
