It's funny considering all the bad stuff people had to say after playing the beta. I only played about 4 matches before getting bored and going back to Gears of war. I'm not surprised though, the beta could have been absolutely terrible and people would still buy the game.

Actually there are a shit-load of great games coming out on the 360 in the next few months, Bio-shock, Mass Effect, Blue dragon to name a few.

Dynasty Warriors Gundam is coming out soon.
And something other than FPS? Seriously? Mass Effect, Bioshock, Mario Galaxy, Mario Strikers Charged, Blue Dragon, Ninja Gaiden Sigma, GH3, Rock Band, Assassin's Creed, Hellgate London, Pokemon Pearl/Diamond/BR, Lair, Heavenly Sword, and the aforementioned Dynasty Warriors Gundam.
All of those are great or look great, and have already come out or are coming out within the next two months-ish. There's tons of stuff out there that's not FPS.
The "frat guys" comment about Halo was pretty much baseless and annoying.

But it's about a 50/50 split with games that are not FPS and games that are.
Bioshock, Halo 3, Metriod Prime 3, Enemy Territory: Quake Wars, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Medal of Honor Airborne, Rainbow six: Vegas, Crysis, Stranglehold, Blacksite: Area 51, Turok, Warhawk, Haze, Unreal Tournament 3, Ghost Recon: Advanced WarFighter 2.
It just seems like every other game that is annouced is FPS. Not to say that many of these games won't be/aren't great.
Oh, I think every frat is required to have at least one Xbox and a copy of Halo. It's just what they do after beer pong. I heard Microsoft even sponsored a bunch of frat parties and gave away Halo and Zunes.

Several of those games you listed are more than just shooting people for the sake of shooting people. Bioshock and Rainbow Six are perfect examples. And I certainly didn't hear you complaining about that while we were playing R6.
If all of those were nothing more than the same "walk through level, get new gun, shoot everything" then I would agree with you. But when you have games putting in extensive free-form, RPG, or strategy elements then I don't think the argument holds water. The only thing really similar is the point of view.

I fucking hate MLGpro. All these faggots at college are all like "Wtf man only n00bs play with motion sensor, you have to start with Battle Rifle or nothing at all".
Which is just a total load of shit. There is no "correct" way to play Halo. If I want to jump on Lockout, throw up a turret at both sniper tower and BR tower and have nothing but sentinel beams blazing about, it's still a game. I don't play Halo 2 to prove that I'm better than everyone else. I play to win, but I play to win a GAME.
Jesus. While we're at it, I'm also sick of the folks that say "You don't play Xbox Live? Then you're not any good". Great thing is, though, that they're only too willing to play a game, and end up proving themselves wrong more often than not.
Anyway, back to the games =)
I'm really looking forward to another Dynasty Warriors game. I played 5 when I borrowed my friend's 360, and I was addicted. Last game that truly addicted me was Battlefront 2. That they're doing it with Gundam made me crap my pants.

I own a PS3, so I'm just gonna mooch off Latson when he gets the game. Latson's the kid around here that throws Halo parties, and everyone shows. Girls, boys, there's no discrimination. xD
I'm pretty good, I used to own both an Xbox and Xbox Live, but PS3 online is free. Resistance is like, the Halo of Sony, so I'm enjoying playing that online, plus the Online community is full of less morons than Halo's is.
