American Beauty - Blind Man - 08-11-2007
I watched this movie for the first time last night and I don't think I've ever been more in love with a piece of film. This movie friggin rocked me. The symbolism and the messages and the acting in it were just so totally beautiful that I just freaked out at the end.
I just kind of had to throw this out there. This is my new favorite movie.

Were there boobies?
American Beauty - Blind Man - 08-11-2007
-_- yes.
American Beauty - Krillin - 08-11-2007
What did they symbolize?

Sounds beautiful to me. Maybe I'll rent it.

Buy it.

Is that the one with the Marine Colonel who ended up being gay?
The movie was great up until I saw that part...

Why did that ruin it?
American Beauty - Sammah - 08-11-2007
It didn't ruin it, it just made my facial expression go from "wow" to "wha?"
American Beauty - Blind Man - 08-11-2007
That was probably actually one of the least surprising parts of the movie. I had a feeling that the reason behind the homophobia was his own self-consciousness about his own feelings. It was still pretty intense. I think I had the same reaction but in a more positive way. Like from "O_O" to "=O"

How do you watch movies?
American Beauty - Blind Man - 08-12-2007
With my eyes?
EDIT: Oh, very funny.
American Beauty - Saz - 08-12-2007
Yes, American Beauty is an amazing film.
Another great, moving film starring Kevin Spacey is K-PAX, if you haven't seen it you really should check it out.
American Beauty - Blind Man - 08-12-2007
I didn't realize how awesome Kevin Spacey is til now. K-PAX is really good, and Se7en is really good too, with him and Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman.

This was a sad movie.

Requiem for a Dream. That is a sad movie.

Requiem for a Dream was a badass movie too... kinda disturbing, but very good.
American Beauty - Blind Man - 08-13-2007
Way disturbing. Another fave though. And Jared Leto's pretty hot.

I told him he was hot for a chick in my group who didn't want to shell out the money to buy his CD. We were at a concert and I bought it so i got autographs...and there is your back story.
I wanna see the sex tape of Colin Farrell and Jared Leto. You know, the one where their still in the Alexander get up.
