Champions - Jonathan Meer - 08-12-2011 Yeah. Fuck Garen. Champions - Orion - 08-12-2011 Back to playing Garen! Champions - Jonathan Meer - 08-12-2011 Veigar vs Nidalee is stupendously unfun. Champions - Jonathan Meer - 08-12-2011 For that matter, nid versus just about anyone in a 1v1 game isn't fun at all. Too much fucking sustain, and when there's no one around to cover a lane (as in, all the time in 1v1), she just facerolls. And, alas, I don't know how to play any hybrids, so my opponent just gets to mindlessly stack one type of armor. I hate losing from champ select. Champions - Rafael - 08-12-2011 Yeah, I hate seeing nidalee against me mid, it's retarded. She has all the same issues as, if anyone is familiar, druids in WoW did at the beginning of Burning Crusade. No jack of all trade, best at everything and can go from one to another instantly. Skillshot, while dodgeable generally, just does way to much fucking damage if it hits, her heal also gives her a steroid and is pretty cheap manawise, and her traps, to the squishies I mid with, hurt a decent amount. Then, she gets a strong melee form that at lvl6 annihilates a minion wave in about 4 seconds for free, then she can go back and heal again fight after. She is about the most satisfying kill to manage during solo mid though. Champions - Kaden - 08-13-2011 Veigar is one of the worst laners in the game. Just throwing it out there. Nid is definitely a tough champion to deal with. You pretty much have to be able to either burst her from full to dead or match her sustain. Matching her sustain can be done pretty well with potions. Not perfectly, of course. If you think you're going to lane against her, don't start Doran's. Grab something like boots + HP pots. Or a regrowth or something like that. While Nid does have virtually infinite HP in lane, she's hardly the best pusher in the game, even in cougar form (she's good, yeah, but can be matched by a lot of champs). If you see a Nid in your lane, just focus on last hitting and not losing your tower as opposed to "winning" the lane. About hybrids: if you're playing a physical damage champ, there are some things you can do. Bloodrazor, Sword of the Divine, Wit's End, and Malady all let you do some pretty serious magic damage per attack, so keep that itemization in mind when your opponents start bulking up. Mages don't really have an alternative to doing magic damage, though I suppose you could try building physical damage items. Champions - Jonathan Meer - 08-13-2011 I'll have to try that next time. AS Ashe is maybe a thing? EDIT: Hell, Kayle. I forgot about Kayle. Champions - Kaden - 08-13-2011 There are plenty of champs that scale with AS better than Ashe. Kayle is a great one. Kog, Cait, TF, Xin, Phoenix Udyr, Noct, even Tryn with the rework. Champions - Rafael - 08-15-2011 Anyone play Taric often? Been using my standard caster runes and my mana tank masteries, and my build order->Morello's (Not in suggested, but he needs CDR so bad, and the mana is nice, + a healthy AP boost) then Chalice, then boots and then spirit...shroud? the 10% cdr and mana regen aura. Never made it beyond that, but anything crazy wrong there? Champions - Kaden - 08-15-2011 Battle Taric. Do it. Champions - John Doe - 08-15-2011 Kaden Wrote:Battle Taric. Do it. It's great trust me. Champions - Waffuru - 08-15-2011 Rafael Wrote:Anyone play Taric often? Never made it beyond that, but anything crazy wrong there? I usually start Mana Manipulator (unless my lane doesn't have another mana user or we have just tons of non-manas) then go boots, Tear of the Goddess, Tear into Archangel's, Merc Treads and Aegis. You have to also remember that autoattacking with Taric is OP. He gets mana back from his passive and lowers the cooldown on his heal. After those items I adjust for what we're against and how we're doing. More AP or armor or MR usually. For runes I usually go: Greater Quint of Fortitude x3 (78 health) Greater Mark of Insight x9 (8.55 magic pen) Greater Glyph of Shielding x9 (24.3 MR at 18) Greater Seal of Resilience x9 (12.69 Armor) The other thing to note is that minions get 10AD from max Radiance so it's most effective to use when you have a big minion wave pushing on towers. Champions - Rafael - 08-15-2011 Wow. The facts, I did not know them at all lol. Not the hit reducing heal cd or that R buffed minions. Maybe I'll get it before I'm forced now. Time to sparkle. Champions - Kaden - 08-16-2011 Wait... were you skipping his ultimate? It's the single best AD steroid in the game and he applies it to his entire team (disregarding minions completely and factoring in the half-strength to allies). Champions - Rafael - 08-16-2011 Pretty much, yeah. I don't find myself in a lot of longer fights, so aside from tower killing and team fights later on, I don't really find myself needing it until I have to get it. WTB a Garen in lane. We will never die. Champions - John Doe - 08-17-2011 This is how people are using Skarner right? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YEE7bFDYAoM It should be. Champions - Kaden - 08-17-2011 That's exactly how Skarner should be used. Could go boots5, too. Champions - Vad - 08-17-2011 So yea. I'm stubborn as fuck so I decided to try and rectify the fact that I get melted in team fights late game as Le Blanc. Ignoring gold costs this is what I came up with. I'm going to work a more reasonable build later on. Champions - Jonathan Meer - 08-17-2011 Aegis is too little too late for a sixth item, and since it's main benefit is as a buff to nearby teammates, it just makes you an even more attractive target for focusing. I'd say take a look at Glacial Shroud --> Frozen Heart, and Abyssal Scepter instead. Do you have many mana issues as Leblanc? If not, Archangel's Staff is probably a waste. Champions - Ashe - 08-17-2011 LeBlanc has early game mana issues. That said, what she brings to the table is damage and not much else. So sacrificing her damage for tanky gear late game doesn't help her much because they then just completely ignore you as a non-threat and then kill you anyway because you are still squishy. EDIT: I would go GA instead of Aegis. That would give them reason to ignore you a bit and give you some extra escape time. |
