Wind Kii question... - Belle Hibiki - 08-10-2009

Sage Wrote:Think creatively, Jesus Christ.

Wind manipulates the movement of air. Mal could create a void of air around the alarm.

Except that he was arguing that if you pushed a bunch of air against something, you could redirect the sound. Which doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

Wind can blunt how slow a sound wave travels (not literally, but we'll just say as much for the sake of argument), but to muffle it entirely? Even if it was possible, it would take an insane amount of air speed, so much that it would probably make as much noise as if you were in a wind tunnel, if not more. Sound travels at 760 mph.

A completely airless space around the alarm however, would work. The vibrations of the object would not have any air to latch on to.

I know what he was arguing. I was just pointing out what he wanted (effect) is do-able. Just had to... y'know... think about it.

Wind Kii question... - Mal Nova - 08-11-2009

I didn't eliminate the sound... I made it 'tpolerable' for the nameks sensitive ears. I do know, however, If I have a huge ass fan in between me and some loud piece of equipment, that pounds or squeals, that it's not as effective on my own ears, because of the air blowing.

I know sound manipulation is related to air because I was told if my Demise attack's screeching did some kind of effect then I'd Need Wind Ki.

I haven't been in science class in a long time... and I don't fully remember all about sound and wind, and I'm almost sure that anime's and such don't follow theory anyways.

But if I remember right.. there has to be enough shit for it to bounce of and not to much or else it can't be heard at all...

*Facepalm*

...Nevermind. Just do whatever.

Wind Kii question... - Mal Nova - 08-12-2009

Well What? Explain?

I scanned that sound sight you gave.. Up until it got to mathematics. IO Noted it said,,, Sound can penetrate the Free space, or vacuum.

You also said get creative... I Did get creative.. and had so many currents of wind/air, fused with his energy to create an orange aura around him, churn and collide about him... Just to drown or deter the peircing sound to make it tolerable for his sensible ears.

I only used it on a whim to make things more intersting a bit and to try and bring some of my characters past into light... and asked here later, after I wanted tpo know if I needed a move for it... But...i mean... If I really need a tech to help Nova handle hearing..i will train him personally like saiyan to withstand his weakness in his tail.

If I want to use the wind/air/sound stuff on another I will get a tech for it... Which I plan to.. actually...

I don't get all the issues... about it but maybe it my issue for not being 100% clear?

Wind Kii question... - Vad - 08-12-2009

Stop worrying so much. You were "OKed" for that instance of use.

The facepalm is because the issues are largely irrelevant in this context and you don't need to keep explaining.

Like Vad said, this was given a thumbs up and is very much done.
