You have a 50% chance that your 360 will die. That shouldn't be acceptable for ANY product.

It's shitty ass hardware, my 360 has done all kinds of things like just not outputting video when turned on or displaying graphical artifacts when playing. And it's one of the supposed 'fixed' Falcon chipsets or whatever. Not to mention they used the loudest freaking DVD drive I've ever heard in my life.

I've had a PS3 since launch and it's frozen maybe 3 times.

I don't know, I purchased a 360 elite and I had a warrant that whenever something broke, I'd send it in and get a free new part of whatever was broke.

If I could remove the damn motherboard and put in a custom graphics system, I'd do it with the 360.

300 dollars in US
300 euros in europe
250 pounds in UK

ffffffffffffffffffffffffff

Their customer service has a reputation for being horrible, though. Warranty or not.

I've been lucky, I guess. My first 360 died after a ton of use and my second one hasn't done anything weird or broken since I've got it (though I would probably be more bitter about it if I had dealt with Microsoft's CS instead of Costco's).

Sony kicked 'yo ass foo! - Super Buu - 08-18-2009

My first 360 broke after a year's use, and I can confirm that their customer service is probably the worst I've ever dealt with (protip: give customers a way to cancel their credit card subscriptions without calling up the company).

Doesn't change the fact that most of the games I wanna play are on the 360.

That said, I've been waiting for the right opportunity to buy a PS3 and will probably get one now when I've got the money.

Sony kicked 'yo ass foo! - Waffuru - 08-19-2009

What are you going to play on 360, Rose? Excluding multiplatform if you know that they are.

Sony kicked 'yo ass foo! - Super Buu - 08-19-2009

I can't be assed to give a detailed list. My preferred list of exclusives is on the 360 as opposed to the PS3 - that's it. Matter of preference. That doesn't mean there aren't PS3 exclusives I want to play, but I didn't/don't have enough money for both.

Sony kicked 'yo ass foo! - Jack - 08-19-2009

The only xbox games I want to play are Halo and Gears, and those are pretty big.

Didn't mean to offend, actually just looking for something to play on my 360.

It's lonely.

Sony kicked 'yo ass foo! - Kaden - 08-19-2009

Your problem is that a bunch of the "must have" 360 games made their way to PC.

Sony kicked 'yo ass foo! - Super Buu - 08-19-2009

No offense taken, I just thought it was for argument's sake. I still can't be assed though =P When I bought the thing it would've been Gears and Dead Rising mostly, now I only look at what I'm not getting on PS3.

Right now most of the games I can't play are on PC. To be honest right now that's the first thing I want to buy, a half-decent rig.

Wii has even more, I think.

Figure in the yearly cost of an Xbox Live subscription, and that quickly becomes false.

360's may break easily, but that's why they retroactively gave 3 year warranties for the most common problems. I had three boxes break, largely because I would put them under a stress test: leave it turned on for a week, putting things on top of it to trap heat, rapidly file through game menus for extended periods of time.

Fourth one is working fine, I don't know how long its been, but after the three-year warranty is up I think I'll sell it and get a new one for another extended warranty. At 250 a box it's a non-issue, and even it was the alternative is a console that has a library so small that I could run through it in less time than it takes an xbox to break. :/

edit: yeah, xbla has a subscription, but it's worth it.

I can understand preferring Xbox exclusives to PS3 exclusives, and if you're willing to pay the price, go for it. I won't fault you.

It's at the points where you're trying to degrade the PS3 (especially in comparison the 360) that I'm poking at.

Quote:edit: yeah, xbla has a subscription, but it's worth it.

PS3 has free service. And it'd be worth paying for.

Sony kicked 'yo ass foo! - Super Buu - 08-19-2009

I'm sure that, after a tense rally of well-thought out points and reasoned debating, this console argument is going to end in both people agreeing on and satisfied with the logical conclusion. I look forward to seeing the result.

Sony kicked 'yo ass foo! - Psyren - 08-19-2009

Only point I wanna make is this..

Ps3's multiplayer sucks majorly I have awesome internet here an at my grandmothers. Ps3 is laggy and alot of times just boots from games where as my old 360 ive never had a problem with.

For some reason I see that paying for xbox live is alright cuz im getting good multiplayer service unlike on ths ps3.

So...I end with this..You get what you pay for...good service or crappy quality.

Sony kicked 'yo ass foo! - Tempo - 08-19-2009

I will still with my 360. I will get the PS3 evvveenntually.

Sony kicked 'yo ass foo! - Jesper - 08-19-2009

I think both consoles should hold townhouse meetings. Those work so well.
