Some aspects of feminism are great and really have helped bring about some gender equality stuff.
Other aspects, not so much.
Unsurpisingly, the latter aspects tend to be the rather extreme, uncompromising, ones.

Seriously though, the more I read about Mitt Romney's campaign the more it reminds me of our current government in the UK and their campaign to get into power. Policy-wise, they were COMPLETELY conservative and all for giving tax breaks to the rich and cuts to welfare at the expense of disabled, elderly and disadvantaged. But in the debates? Strong/vague words about the common people, helping out the everyday man. Which is the a very skewed representation of their ACTUAL policies. But people are lazy fucking morons and don't look at the actual policies before voting, or bother to try and understand how the political system works. This is why I'm against mandatory voting, because if people are too lazy to vote of their own accord then they're almost certainly too lazy to have researched their vote.
