Yeah, totally. Doom 3 was revolutionary.
...But chances are if we continue with that, some retard will flame everyone.
Anyway, Jackie's right; StarCraft is essentially a product of original ideas based loosed on the pretty much ancient WarCraft 2 platform, which, though definitely ground-breaking, isn't exactly the 'daddy' of RTS... well, actually, it could be.
Most RTS' are based on a similar design, especially the older ones. The new ones, I'm not so sure about. =\
