Superpower XI Matchmaking - Aqua - 02-02-2007
Burter arrived in his office, just as he had the week before, to find a dead rose with black paper. He listened intently to see if he could hear Aqua scooting his way through the ventilation shaft but to no avail.
The letter read:
Burter,
Try as you might, I will consistantly haunt the darkness of this arena. I look forward to this week's match.
-Aqua
Burter discarded the letter and sat down to look over some paper work from the night before only to notice the small hooded form of Aqua poised behind the lamp in the corner.
"I can see you Aqua..."
The hooded head of Aqua seemed to adjust slightly back and forth for a moment, as if to scope out an escape route. After finding none, and convincing himself that maybe Burter didn't really see him, he remained perfectly still. Burter stared at the Aqua-jin for a few akward moments and then spoke again, "You can just leave you know..."
There was a slight pause, and then Aqua slowly bagan to shuffle inch by agonizing inch while pressing himself flat against the wall of the office towards the exit door. He slid out through the open entrance, only to appear back in the doorway a moment later, pointing dramatically at Burter for a moment. "I'll be watching from the darkness." Then he executed a slow side shuffle to remove himself from sight.
