Correction: Reisistance is the Halo of Sony so far.

Halooo - Krillin - 08-11-2007

Ah right, I keep forgetting that it isn't assumed that we're solely referring to past and present in discussions about reality.

Krillin Wrote:I fucking hate MLGpro. All these faggots at college are all like "Wtf man only n00bs play with motion sensor, you have to start with Battle Rifle or nothing at all".

Which is just a total load of shit. There is no "correct" way to play Halo. If I want to jump on Lockout, throw up a turret at both sniper tower and BR tower and have nothing but sentinel beams blazing about, it's still a game. I don't play Halo 2 to prove that I'm better than everyone else. I play to win, but I play to win a GAME.

Jesus. While we're at it, I'm also sick of the folks that say "You don't play Xbox Live? Then you're not any good". Great thing is, though, that they're only too willing to play a game, and end up proving themselves wrong more often than not.

I respect your opinion...but thats how the pros play. Oh and there are games with motion sensors its called FFA. See, another reason you prolly hate how they play is you dont want a career in professional gaming, but I do, so I play like them so I can be like them and make into the pro circuit. They also play to win a game, they just use pro rules instead of wack rules as you listed, but everyone has differnt likes in how they play so, whatever. And if you dont play halo 2 on live, then chances are, you suck. Unless of course, you play with people who play live, alot.

And Celipa, the reason you play with morons halo 2 live is prolly because you play retarted games, like team training, a less serious game of halo 2. If you'd like to play with mature people, play team hardcore or customs, that include FFAs or 4v4s. But there are still 'tards who happen to make their way into the more serious games. Those are just some ways that may help avoid typical morons.

Halooo - Waffuru - 08-12-2007

I think Warhawk is going to have epic online play. Have you read about the Zones gameplay mode?

Halooo - Pink Underoo - 08-12-2007

I don't know if I'll get Halo3. The first game was pretty fun, but the second game really turned me off from the franchise. The new game dynamics sound fun, but it's going to depend on the multiplayer and multiplayer depends on the type of people that participate. Pimply faced, shrill voiced turds seem to be the majority of Halo addicts, and I don't much care for them.

Yeah? A computer will also usually answer e4 with c5, but I hate the fucking Sicilian.

Quote:Oh and there are games with motion sensors its called FFA.

Not to hear these idiots talk. It's no motion-sensor straight up.

Quote:See, another reason you prolly hate how they play is you dont want a career in professional gaming, but I do, so I play like them so I can be like them and make into the pro circuit.

Fantastic. Then you and these other morons can train on your own time. But when I'm unwinding at the end of a hectic school day, I don't want to hear how "real men" play Halo. I want to shoot some people.

Quote:They also play to win a game, they just use pro rules instead of wack rules as you listed, but everyone has differnt likes in how they play so, whatever.

For the record, I don't play Sentinel Beams ever, unless me and my friends are looking for something really wacky. Usually it's just straight up Slayer on Lockout.

I don't mind that some people PREFER no motion sensor and start-with-BR. It's that they claim that their ruleset is the only proper way to play a Halo game.

Quote:And if you dont play halo 2 on live, then chances are, you suck. Unless of course, you play with people who play live, alot.

Then think of me as an exception.

Mighty Dabura Wrote:Pimply faced, shrill voiced turds seem to be the majority of Halo addicts, and I don't much care for them.

Or greasy-haired, no-friend faggots who try to tell you that they're way better at sniping than you are, just before you no-scope headshot them from across the map.

Great thing there, though, is that retribution comes before blood can boil.

Halooo - Celipa - 08-12-2007

I play with people that play on Live a lot, and I also have a friend that's going professional. Yet we can all get together, play Halo, and get along. Every situation's different. >.>

Halooo - Saz - 08-12-2007

4 PLAYER CO-OP!!!!

Can't believe I just found that out today.

Halooo - Metal Koola - 08-12-2007

I feel like the only person in the world who does not enjoy Halo in the least.

Halooo - Raditzu - 08-12-2007

I actually got both Halo games for the single player.

Halooo - Dave - 08-12-2007

Thats cool.

Quote:Not to hear these idiots talk. It's no motion-sensor straight up.

What is? an FFA? Thats a straight up motion sensor game.

Quote:Fantastic. Then you and these other morons can train on your own time. But when I'm unwinding at the end of a hectic school day, I don't want to hear how "real men" play Halo. I want to shoot some people.

We will, we also come from a hectic day of school and dont want to hear how noobs play. And you can still shoot people, no matter how you play.

Quote:For the record, I don't play Sentinel Beams ever, unless me and my friends are looking for something really wacky. Usually it's just straight up Slayer on Lockout.

A really wacky game would be a hudless stick only game. Those are fun.

Quote:I don't mind that some people PREFER no motion sensor and start-with-BR. It's that they claim that their ruleset is the only proper way to play a Halo game.

They dont claim thats the proper way to play, its just the pro rules. Like the NFL, they have their pro rules, but sometimes when I play with my friends we change the rules so its no excatly NFL style.

Quote:Then think of me as an exception.

I shall.

/double post

Krillin Wrote:Or greasy-haired, no-friend faggots who try to tell you that they're way better at sniping than you are, just before you no-scope headshot them from across the map.

Except for the fact that a no-scope is luck, the only skill it takes is for you to be able to aim in the general direction of their head, if you have host of course. With out it you want to be more precise at where you aim.

Halooo - Krillin - 08-12-2007

Piccolo Wrote:What is? an FFA? Thats a straight up motion sensor game.

I heard you the first time and, believe it or not, I actually speak English, so 'yo comprendo'. I'm referencing the faggots at college, as I said in my first post. I don't care if there is a variant in MLGpro that uses motion sensor. That doesn't affect what these morons at college say.

Quote:We will, we also come from a hectic day of school and dont want to hear how noobs play. And you can still shoot people, no matter how you play.

It's exactly this attitude that I despise, and that labels you as a fucking moron. Just because we don't play games YOUR way does not mean we're noobs. I could probably kick your ass in a game of Halo 2 after a few warm-up sessions (haven't played it at all since first semester).

Quote:A really wacky game would be a hudless stick only game. Those are fun.

Sounds neat. I'll have to try it sometime. Wasn't aware there was actually a way to remove the HUD in multiplayer though, looks like I need to do more digging through the Game Options.

Quote:They dont claim thats the proper way to play, its just the pro rules.

Yes, but the idiots I'm talking about at college DO claim that that is the proper way to play. You do realize the problem here? This argument is akin to me saying "Green Day sucks," and you going, "OMFG! Celine Dion is awesome, how could you say that?"

Quote:Like the NFL, they have their pro rules, but sometimes when I play with my friends we change the rules so its no excatly NFL style.

Fantastic analogy, but it doesn't quite fit. Regular slayer is the basic way the game is naturally set-up. You start with an SMG, you start with grenades, you fart around on a map, and kill. That's how practically every game is played at the beginner level, and in most cases, that's how every game is played at the intermediate level. Of course, variants occur after that; I, for one, love a good game of Swat, and the Tower of Power is just too fun. But for the most part, Slayer is generally accepted as the basic way to play Halo 2. I'm not arguing that it's the only way to play, or the proper way to play, but just that it's the generic game when you're playing Halo 2. So, for your analogy to fit, the NFL would have had to reinvent the way football was played before in a substantial manner (which, it actually may have done; I'm not a sports historian). Regardless, I'm sure quite a few people got pissy then too, if they had any love for the sport.

In summary, you're wrong.

That's actually a fantastic summary for ANY of my arguments ever.

Halooo - Krillin - 08-12-2007

Yeah, if someone you're playing against gets one no-scope after two shots that miss, then it's luck. But if someone can get no-scopes pretty regularly, it ceases to be luck.

You don't seem to realize just how much I played this game.

EDIT: Host? As I said, I don't play Xbox Live.

Well, they fail.

Lol, kid, I'd shit on you in a 1v1 game. Do you have a friend with live?

Its not in the game options, its a mod. But only mod offline cause if you mod while logged into xbox live Bungie will ban you after six hours, from matchmaking, but who cares cause you can get way better playing customs then you can matchmaking.

SWATs fun, but ToP is fricken gay. If you want a fun game play Hide 'n Seek or Zombies, or Beaner Patrol. Those are fun.

EDIT: Host? As I said, I don't play Xbox Live.

Host is where you are connection host the whole game. It improves your guys BR, like you can BR someone across Lockout and generaly hit them if you have a steady BR, but for someone whos not host your BR will still reach across the map, just not as effectivley. Well, it pretty much improves all your guys stuff, like how far he can lunge with a melee attack or a sword lunge. It improves the chances your sticky will actually stick the opposing person. All in all, it improves shit, but not to a dramatic level. But only cause your hosting the game.

Halooo - Retane - 08-12-2007

I wanna play Halo 3 =(

DW: Gundam? Wtf? How are you going to mix Romance of the Three Kingdoms with fucking GUndams?

Edit: You're both gay =D

Edit2: YOu said sticky....

Halooo - Krillin - 08-12-2007

Retane just so you're aware, I tried lowering your Reputation even further, but the forum wouldn't let me.

EDIT: My brethren! Unite and help one of your kinsman overcome this obstacle! Lower Retane's Reputation on my behalf.

You know what to do. Follow your hearts.

Halooo - Kirano - 08-12-2007

I vote Krillin vs Retane in mortal Kombat. And I'm not on about the video game, just so most of the modern members are aware.
