Final Fantasy XII - Vegeta - 12-11-2006

I'm pretty sure it's based on number of steps since your last use of it. So if you took 500 steps it would reset to 0 after you used it.

I assumed it was like waht Dana said, with the whole infight movements. If so, bullocks am I gonna get the damn thing. I'll get the lisence thou, just for shits and giggles mind >.>

I have the liscence for it as well, but only because it was in my way.

=(

Once I end up with a lot of extra gil (haha yeah right) I'll probably pick it up. For the price of techiniks, they do really really bad job of letting you know how they work.

Final Fantasy XII - Dr. Cringle - 12-11-2006

I have to ask, how difficult do you guys think this game is?

Final Fantasy XII - Toshiro - 12-11-2006

It differs depending on you. PErsonally, I think it's pretty good and mildly easy yo moderate difficulty. Average for a FF game I think.

Final Fantasy XII - Kaden - 12-11-2006

I think its a definitely harder than any of the other FF games I've played. The whole real-time combat system can very easily throw you off, and if you get caught off guard, or you're not paying attention, its easy to find yourself in some serious trouble.

The quickening system, however, can turn even boss fights into 20 second ordeals.

Final Fantasy XII - Banned Dana - 12-11-2006

Actually, it's from when you initiate the technick. So if you come in sight range of a foe, initate it and run in circles to build it up, then attack.

Final Fantasy XII - Alura - 12-13-2006

I just beat it, though hardly any sidequests or anything, just a straight play-through.

Not crazy about the story as a whole. Well, not true - it's a great storyline, but didn't live up to the awesomness of 7-10

Final Fantasy XII - Kole T. Merr - 12-13-2006

Out of curiousity, what was your avg lvl and play time for the game beating?

Final Fantasy XII - Alura - 12-14-2006

Play Time is huge, because I don't turn my PS2 off. I pause. For a long time.

I was around level 35, which is pretty low, so you should aim higher unless you're like me and buy a ton of good shit

Final Fantasy XII - Kaden - 12-14-2006

Wow... 35? I still haven't gotten to the second esper and I'm at 26.

Final Fantasy XII - Kole T. Merr - 12-14-2006

Actually, play time does not increase while the game is paused. I'm just starting the dungeon where you get the first esper, and I'm at lvl 17 with 15:22 of gameplay, and I have left mine on at least 2 days on pause.

Final Fantasy XII - Saz - 12-14-2006

Eh, now that I'm getting a 360 I doubt I'll get to play FF12. =(

Anyway I have a question, I watched a preview of the game acouple of months ago and alot of what I saw reminded me of the GBA game Final Fantasy Tactics. Does anyone know whether FF12 is in anyway related to the GBA game?

It does increase while you're on the status menu though

Absolutely not. The only possible similarity are the races. And even then, I don't think they used the same names for those races.

Moggles? >.>

And besides, the only realtion to FF:T I've bee able to spot, is that Montblanc is in it.

Final Fantasy XII - Alura - 12-14-2006

The name of the world is the same, but it's completely different.

@Rad: I was a lot weaker before getting my 2nd Esper, so you're winning

Final Fantasy XII - King Cold444 - 12-14-2006

After you get out of the underground railroad (heehee)system what equipment presents itself? Well, techs and important things like that.

Go hit the shops before spending all of your LP and it won't be a problem. I think Poles open up around then, and they kick all kinds of ass. And katanas are awesome too. I just had a random mob drop me a Kogarasumaru, and its sweet.

@Burt: I didn't know I was competing. =P

Final Fantasy XII - King Cold444 - 12-15-2006

I started over. No good reason, I just started over. I'm back at in Ramadasca (wtf, random) after the third mark. About to go back on the castle raid and do alot of precioud things. I did it to classify my characters, now that I think about it. So it was for good reason.

And some uber weapon I nullified when picking up some well-placed item box.
