@Gar: I never once was comparing severity/frequency or w/e. It's not like I support drunk driving or sports riots. They're also stupid but weren't really... y'know... part of the conversation.

We are talking stupid senseless deaths. Three people because of flatscreen TV is essentially nothing. At least they are getting a deal on something. Drunk drivers do it for nothing but a night of fun. Soccer hooligans rioting because their team lost stampeding 12 people or beating to death an opposing teams supporter even MORE retarded. This shit is barely noteworthy and says nothing new about human nature.
