Company of Heroes

Dunno if you'd like it, but I heard Reservoir Dogs is a great game. Not my opinion though, never really liked those kinds of games...

Oh and if your planning on playing any of the older games, I definitly recommened any of the Lucas Games/Lucas Arts adventure games. Day of the Tentacle, Loom, Monkey Island series....all are excellent, mind-boggling and true classics.

A good game for Xbox or PC is Fable, that game owns all. Can't wait for part two to come out, I know for sure I'm going to get a xbox360 just so I can play that game.

Fable: The Lost Chapters is a good game overall. But unfortunately, it is preety restricted on what course you can take, at least in the beggining. Spells are way too crude to be of primary use.

True but after I finished the academy I had more freedom. Fable 2 is going to be off the hook, choose a gender, have kids etc. And another feature they're not releasing at the moment.

At this point I think Fable, Legend of Legia, Legend of Dragoon and Zelda Orciana of Time are the best games I've played in my whole life. Just my opinion though. Smile

Monkey Island 4. It's 3D and I didn't enjoy it as much as MI3, but hey, I'm me...you're...you.

Also...MI3...

Monkey Island 4 is a good game, allthough admittingly it was placed into a 3D einviorment way too early for its own good. But the puzzles are absolutely mind boggling. Some are quite annoying like when you have to get the right code on the sorting system.

Monkey Island 3 however is quite excellent. The cartoonish graphics are excellent, the storyline is good and funny and is also quite challenging. Also, I can proudly say Monkey Island 3 was the first adventure I completed with absolutely no use of a walkthrough. Big Grin

Random bump/necro for bragging because my desktop is FINALLY arriving in around an hour, and someone's coming to set it up. Wee!!111 Took them long enough to fucking build it. I was at the back of the queue or something because I applied for it late, but better late than never eh? Tongue

Get on a mesanger once it's set up.

Recommended PC Games - Super Buu - 01-16-2007

Woot! It's all set up! Not online yet, since I decided to take back this internal wireless card and get a usb adapter instead. However, I'm having fun with it and all the free shit they've thrown in (like my Sony dictaphone which doubles as an MP3 player =OOOO). Cannot wait to start playing stuff like Oblivion and Black & White 2.

I'mana start transferring crap over from my laptop now XD

If you're looking for an RTS, go find "Company of Heroes."

"Titan's Quest" is great if you're looking for something to scratch your "Diablo" itch.

The expansion for "F.E.A.R." came out fairly recently, and that's worth checking out.

And you can't forget "Neverwinter Nights 2" for all your D&D needs. NWN2 is a fun one to crank up all the settings and see how long you can stand the lag.

Recommended PC Games - Super Buu - 01-16-2007

I heard about Titan's Quest. In fact, I got it for a birthday present but it wouldn't work on my laptop and they took it back. >_> Drat.

I'm likely gonna get F.E.A.R., though.

Recommended PC Games - Raditzu - 01-16-2007

That would be a good one to try and get back... one way or another.

Anyway, there are also a bunch of not-so-new games I would recommend as well. Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines, Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones, SWAT 4 + Expansion, Rise of Legends, Guild Wars, and... uh... I don't remember. I had something else. Oh well.

Don't get KOTOR II Its really not worth it. Yea, its got the same appeal that the first had, but its by a diffrent company and much like Montey Python and the Holy Grail.

Recommended PC Games - Raditzu - 01-16-2007

I didn't mind the second one. Its way more casual than the first, and they go to great lengths to make it pretty easy.

Last time I played through, I did it as a light-side force user (Consular or something... I don't remember what they're called) and didn't have any problems at all.

Recommended PC Games - Jewtastic - 01-16-2007

Its a fun game, and I do believe that they did a great job translating the feel of the first to the second, plus adding some cool things like influence and all, I hated the whole main story line, plus the ending looked like they ran out of money and threw some piece of shit together.

I don't think anyone would argue with that.

After the first game you're sitting there waiting for that "moment" where the story just turns the whole world upside-down, and then you get it and you just have to scratch your head and say "oh... ok."

Until now, I've pretty much just had to hold back the tears when a cool PC game comes out, since my Laptop can't run shit. But I'm getting a new desktop provided by my university this week or the next, and it's pretty powerful. 3.4GHz Dual-Core Processor, a gig of ram, and a 245mb graphics card, if the specifics are important. Tongue

So what I want to know is, what good PC games should I get? I already have Oblivion and Black & White 2 ready to be installed. F.E.A.R is another thing I'm considering. But I need to know more! Bear in mind that I can't play online games on my college connection. =(

TES: IV Oblivion
TES: III Morrowind (The PC Expansions r0x0rs)
Halo: Combat Evolved PC (It gets boring, and is kind-of an online game, but you can still have fun downloading modded levels and stuff)
Age of Empires II: The Age of Kings (You can get gold edition, too, way better)
Age of Empires III (Buy the expansion if you want, but it's nothing special)

Oh, I've heard good things about Rome Total War. Or Mideval Total War. Whatever the latest "Total War" game is.

Recommended PC Games - Jewtastic - 01-16-2007

Starcraft.

Oh, and don't forget its expansion, Brood Wars.

Best games ever. EVAR!
