~Breathes in deeply~ - Yamu - 03-16-2007 Quote:Originally posted by Akane Kimidori Excellent. Can you tell me what I did to get on the list in the first place to make sure I never get back on? Btw, glad I got this in before it became locked due to partisan discussion. ~Breathes in deeply~ - Nori - 03-16-2007 Quote:Originally posted by Hell Fighter 17 What I meant is that a person shouldn't have to apologise for what their great great great great great grandfather did. People honestly shouldn't even care. And I'm against the people who want to outlaw gay marriage. I don't think it is right to do so. Love is a beautiful thing, regardless of who loves who. I mean, it just shouldn't be a issue really. I know people can beleive whatever they want. People can be against it, I mean, I understand that. It is their right to be against gay marriage. However it really isn't fair to the people who are homosexual and want to get married to the person they love. Their love is *no* different. It is exactly the same. While reproduction isn't possible, it is still love. ~Breathes in deeply~ - Olibu - 03-16-2007 You know what this thread has taught me? Peaches = George Wait... ~Breathes in deeply~ - Tobias - 03-16-2007 So peaches = Racism? Is that what this thread is about? But seriously, no one should have to apologize for something someone else did. ~Breathes in deeply~ - Violet - 03-16-2007 Quote:Originally posted by Yamu You're always on my list <3 ~Breathes in deeply~ - Blind Man - 03-16-2007 ![]() = ![]() =
~Breathes in deeply~ - Hellfighter 17 - 03-16-2007 Quote:Originally posted by Akane KimidoriIf I apologize for Truman bombing Hiroshima and Nagasaki, I am obviously showing that I do not believe it should have been done, and then people cab gather my ideals form that, since whether that should have been done is very controversial and there are different stances for different reasons. Does this mean, then, that you are against black people getting reparations? Not allowing people to marry != denying their love. ~Breathes in deeply~ - Tobias - 03-16-2007 I realize this was towards Akane but I feel strongly so, If you apologize for the Hiroshima and Nagasaki, its a purely symbolic and empty gesture. If Truman would apologize, or maybe a government official form that time, maybe it would mean something. So right off the bat, it means shit. There is a difference between saying you FEEL sorry and saying you ARE sorry. If you apologize you are basically saying it was partially your fault. You aren't even an American, let alone a government official, so it isn't. You can communicate your regret in ways other than compromising your integrity. As for reparations, show me a former slave and I'll give i to 'em. I realize its still hard to be black but throwing money at them for troubles they personally never had doesn't solve it. ~Breathes in deeply~ - Hellfighter 17 - 03-16-2007 I meant it is useful in a sybolic sense. Obviously it is not meant to make Japan go, "kk forget it," but it should show the people what you believe in. ~Breathes in deeply~ - Tobias - 03-16-2007 I know you meant to to show regret, you know, hence the other three quarters of my post. ~Breathes in deeply~ - Hellfighter 17 - 03-16-2007 That's all I got out of your post regarding that. Maybe I just don't understand how you phrased it. ~Breathes in deeply~ - Tobias - 03-17-2007 Quote:There is a difference between saying you FEEL sorry and saying you ARE sorry. There is no reason to feel guilty over something you did not do. ~Breathes in deeply~ - Hellfighter 17 - 03-17-2007 Ah. Different conceptions of the word. Well, to get my point across, if someone informs me that someone close to them has perished, I will say that I am sorry. ~Breathes in deeply~ - Tobias - 03-17-2007 I think things like reparations, or the political maneuvering mentioned earlier, represent the first sort however. ~Breathes in deeply~ - Dehan - 03-17-2007 For the record, I like Hilary...I'd do her in a new york minute. She looks friggin yummy...all tender and soft like a peach...*drools* ~Breathes in deeply~ - Tobias - 03-17-2007 Then pucker up!
~Breathes in deeply~ - Olibu - 03-17-2007 XD ~Breathes in deeply~ - Blind Man - 03-17-2007 No more erections for me for the rest of '07. ~Breathes in deeply~ - Violet - 03-17-2007 XDXDXD ![]() POON!!! ~Breathes in deeply~ - Hellfighter 17 - 03-17-2007 I could do something very mean, yet disturbingly appropriate, here, but I shall choose not to. |
