His Q hits like a truck and has a really short cooldown, you can also harass like mad with the WQW combo, and his E does a good bit of damage too. The ult is also on a pretty short cooldown, esp with blue and some CDR runes/masteries/items.
He really functions best with support later on in the game though. Pair up with a melee and you can go around and just kill everyone.
