Xerath sucks IMO. But that's cause he gets easily focused =D

Kaden Wrote:People have answered this question, FOR YOU, like twice now.

Go look for the posts.

Shit.

Actually no one had said anything about runes =P

But Tryg gave me some info about it on LoL after I posted.

And I was actually meaning like how to use his combo's more effectively(I could have worded it better), like I didnt know if his E could boost his damage to his Q. It can't. Tryg also told me this.

Champions - Kaden - 10-06-2011

Runes for him are pretty straight forward. Armor Pen or Attack Damage on the reds. Probably flat armor on the yellows and scaling MR on the blues. For quints, I'd suggest either Attack Damage, Armor Pen, Health, or Movespeed.

As far as combos go, you pretty much just Q into a group, press R, press E, and start right clicking. If you get a kill, press Q again followed by E and then R as needed. If you get low, press W and hope any CC is on cooldown.

Yi is more about timing and positioning than he is about any kind of cool combo.

Sigfried Hunin Wrote:So, is Xerath as ballsy as Im hoping he is? Can he tae a lil punishment to get some hits in?

Only slightly moreso than other mages. His passive turns 15% of his AP into armor. If you end the game at ~400 AP, then you'll have a free Chain Vest, basically. Sounds cool, yeah, but it's not actually going to do very much at end game. Still, free stats are free stats.

Specifically, though, you shouldn't need to take some punishment to get hits in. That's kinda the whole point of the champion. You use the massive range to rain doom upon your enemy. His base damage is decent, his ratios are a little on the meh side, but dat range.

Champions - Anzekay - 10-06-2011

The counter to Xerath is a melee with a gap closer or another mage.

Or, you know, being mobile.

I'm loving Kassadin when there's an enemy Xerath. I'm just like -WOOSH-, SILENCE, STAB YOU WITH NETHER BLADE

Trygelan Wrote:Poppy - Two ways to build her, one is build trinity force + tanky stuff (warmogs, force of nature, randuins, sunfire cape) which is how I usually build her, the other is pure AP burst bitch. Deathfire Grasp + Lichbane + Deathcap = insane burst. Try to catch someone out of position, knock them into a wall, Q them. If you managed to get ult off first, they are most likely close to dead, use W to chase if need be and land another Q for the kill.

I got yelled at and was told I was building stupid and wrong building this. They said I needed to build attack speed and Critt =(

That's one of the dumbest things I've heard about LoL.

Then they are idiots. You can build a phantom dancer after getting triforce + some tanky stuff (FoN, Sunfire cape, randuins, but 1 or 2 tanky items first). After that then yeah, you can get a phantom dancer or whatever.

Typically for me, I build triforce, merc treads, force of nature, and then depending on the other team (ad champs and such), I'll build an atma's or sunfire cape. After that, then I'd build a phantom dancer, but I've never had a game go that long for me to get that far on poppy.

Champions - Mal Nova - 10-08-2011

I went and got Philosophers stone(For the regen and the gold), then the Sorcerer shoes, followed by Deathcap. I think I was building Void staff(AP). I didnt die until near the end while in their base. So I'm suppose to build Mercs instead of Sorc Shoes?

But yea, they said building her AP was wrong.

Building her AP is fine too, if I do build her AP sorc shoes are the way to go, instead of deathcap get deathfire grasp first. You hit someone with that while your ult is on them, half their health. After that get lichbane. Then you can get deathcap or whatever. (That's just how I build her.)

Whats better to max out first? Q or E?

Champions - Jonathan Meer - 10-08-2011

I've seen it go multiple ways. The consensus seems to get some early levels in E for the utility and harass, then either Q or W depending on the lane you're in. Either way, you'll want an early level of W for utility.

I think its better not to level e up at all until you have to, simply because it pushes lanes pretty hard.

Does her burster shot do extra damage if she slams them into a wall?

Champions - Kaden - 10-09-2011

Mal Nova Wrote:Whats better to max out first? Q or E?

W, then Q, and finish out with E, but get one point in it early on (doesn't really matter when, just some time in the first 5 levels).

Mal Nova Wrote:Does her burster shot do extra damage if she slams them into a wall?

No.

Champions - Mal Nova - 10-09-2011

Bah! I think I have problems with Rocket jump. That and I find myself using The Burster shot to usually knock the fuckers away from killing someone.

Champions - Kaden - 10-09-2011

About half the time Buster Shot ends up being an escape instead of damage. Nothing wrong with using it to save someone.

If you have problems using Rocket Jump, then doesn't it make sense to skill in a way that makes you more reliant on it? You'll get a better feel for it.
