HAAAAAAATE: My buddy's girlfriend wants me to install this alarm system into her car.

I have never, ever, ever, ever worked on one of these before. I don't even know where to begin. I told her this and she's like "nah, you can do it" and fucking buys it, telling the company she could install it herself.

So, like, I'm basically expected to make this work now, even though I don't know what I'm doing. Maybe I'll like, set her car on fire. It'd probably be beneficial. Her car's not really worth stealing anyway. The insurance money's probably more than the car's worth.

And it's cooooold. ;_;

This sucks so hard. I'll probably just tell her I can't do it. Really, I don't want to wind up shorting something out and taking the blame for it. Electrical work sucks out loud.

LIKE: I got a wee little subwoofer and four speakers for my computer. They're decently expensive, but they're still computer speakers, so they still suck, but they sound tons better than the 2-speaker setup I previously had.

Hate: I have a job in a nearby town to fix some dickhead's Internet. No one was there when I got there, so I drove home (it's a half hour trip). Get a phone call from the boss of the business just as I'm back in town (half an hour to go before the weekend starts.) She says she needs the Internet desperately and wants me to do weekend work. HALF AN HOUR before the week's up, here I am thinking I can actually sleep in on Saturday and help out a mate with his yard. BUT NO. I HAVE TO FIX FUCKING COMPUTERS. How could she not see how imposing that was? Fuck, just because I work on computers doesn't mean I don't have a life outside of them.

I live in a pretty quiet town. If I wanted to work myself to death, I'd move to a big city. But I don't. I want to have my weekends and my nights to myself and uninterrupted by computers.

*sigh*

But it is sometimes part of the job. It just really shits me that I thought I had a free weekend and it was taken away so close to the mark.
