No. I don't care if he was stereotypically made to make fun of black people (which I doubt). You can change everything about the character EXCEPT his appearance, so you are sticking with how he looks in television show.

Hair can be grown, and the rest looks similar enough.
Kilah just doesn't look like Ryu. Ryu has a much lighter frame, whereas Kilah is much more bulky. Somehow I knew you were going to dispute this. =/
