Sooooo my hair's still green.

We are not amused.

I think you're way too quick to use "we" there.

Hate: Really seriously stressed right now, and just feeling really fucking down about everything. Doing multiple things trying to handle all this shit, but if I were compare life to Magic, right now, I'd be somewhere around turn 16 right now with a hand full of three costing land searchers, two lands on the table, and absolutely no third land in site. Yeah, I just compared it that way. Sigh. That down feeling as you draw your 17th card and finally scoop seems to be around the corner.

EDIT: As a great example, I go into the kitchen after this to get a cup of milk. Oh, look, expires on *drumroll* 3/20. Not touching it. Fine, I'll make an egg sandwich. Or would, if the carton of eggs didn't say "expires on March 19." Ok, fine, fuck me then. I'll drink some fucking water. *slides cup of water over, prompting cat to jump onto the desk and walk over it, shedding a nice patch of winter fur into it*.

Yeah, that series of events just happened right after I spent tonight figuring out which bills would get paid and which are going to have to give virgin births.

I know how you feel, i work so much i only get one day off and i can barely afford my rent and bills. I come from a poor family, so its very hard not being able to turn to parents or family for help. My rent keeps going up ($50 every 6 months) and soon i may have to look for a cheaper place. I might go to school sometime, if i can get a loan or something, but even that seems too hard. I have to work full time just to live, I don't know if I can do both.

I get calls from bill collectors a lot, it sucks.

Reirei, those eggs are still fine. They just taste a little less fresh and start to lose nutrients, but they won't kill you.

Not to downplay the rest of your post, I just couldn't hold myself back as a self-professed egg addict =P

The Like/Hate Thread - Psyren - 03-20-2010

the egg anwser was correct their still good.

And as for milk....yeah i drink powdered milk

The Like/Hate Thread - Kazuya - 03-20-2010

I do smell test on milk, then taste. Usually its good for a few days after the expiration.

Ditto. I find it usually lasts about three days after the expiration date, just keep the lid closed tight on it. *loves living alone* no worries about some dillhole just placing the lid on as if they have the strength of a 94 year old granny.

Hate that I probably pissed my girlfriend off this morning. She better get over it.

Hate that my hamburger meat won't likely thaw out by tonight so I'll be eating ramen for dinner unless otherwise.

To me, milk always smells "bad" within a few days before its due date. And I'm extremely uneasy about eating things after the expiration is up. My wife is like the complete opposite on that. But yeah, milk is something that, for me, has had that "bad" taste on the exact day of for quite a few times, so if its like the day before, I feel like I need to mix in some strawberry powder or something.

Your fear is well placed. Milk is pretty dangerous when it starts to go bad. When I say dangerous, I mean it's really easy to give yourself ailments.

dont listen to vad and his fear mongering. Drink the milk.....*Holds milk carton* You want this....dont you...Smile

HATE: So like, I went to bed at 3am last night and had to get up at 6am this morning.

See, the alarm goes off, and I'm real tired, and I guess I had slept on my arm so it's numb. To turn off my alarm and not get out of bed, what you do is you prop yourself up on the dresser with one arm and turn off the alarm with the other.

Okay, but the arm I'm propping myself up with is hella numb and it's dark.

So, basically, I fall out of bed and slash myself up the forearm. I'm in the dark on the floor, bleeding, while the alarm is screeching at me, and it's six in the morning and I don't know what's happening. It took me a while to make sense of the situation.

ALSO HATE: Being lactose intolerant, and eating ice cream before getting drunk.

...I don't feel right.

Just got back in from a party with some friends. I drank a bit, but as usual I stayed in the right frame of mind. A bunch of them left for a bit and came back later, but one of my friends was talking to me a bit and we went into his room just to talk. Already knew he went through his emo stages and stuff (which is odd, as he dresses super prep, has non emo interests, etc, so I'm using the term to mean depression), and then mentioned that he'd cut himself recently, and started spilling his depression out. Worked great since I was already down myself and it gave me someone to talk with and try to lift back up, which helped me as well. I already figured why he had the arm band on his arm - I mean, I went through it for many years with my wife and know the signs. But he's one that when he doesn't want to talk about something, you aren't getting it from him. So I only took note that he was drunk enough (I babysat him through the puking stage - which is always fine by me for any friend) to let things out a bit. It was good to be there and help with what I could, and when he finished and started falling asleep, I went back in and cleaned up the mess and headed out, since I'd sobered completely up.

Guess I feel a bit better myself, in a way. Still depressed, but... renewed, which was the point, despite not getting trashed and throwing up myself. Unnecessary, sometimes.
